LG Velvet Unboxing & First Impressions #LGVelvet By J. Williams

All right guys welcome back to another video, it's your man jay. So a lot of people are excited about the uh OnePlus word. But I'm excited about this. This is the lg velvet. How do you guys have asked me? Was I getting this in for a review? Well, here's your answer. So this has a 6.8 inch, 1080p display, 48, megapixel camera that shoots in 4k, 128, gigs of storage, six or eight gigs of ram with a 4 300 William hour battery. This is the 5g version uh, and you know this will be something that uh.

This is the US version by the way, this isn't the international version um. So just you're wondering this is gonna, be the 5g version. So this has a poled display, android 10, uh, snapdragon, 765 g uh yeah. Let's, let's get that that stuff out of the way and let's, let's just get down to the meetup, it does have a SD card slot too um and uh. You've got a 48 megapixel triple camera setup on the back, eight megapixel ultra-wide and the 48 megapixel is wide, and you have a 5 megapixel depth sensor.

Shoots in 4k, 1080p, 60 frames per second all those goodies and the front shoots at 16 megapixels at 1.9, with 1080p at 30. You do have stereo speakers on here uh and there are some bonuses. I'll show you. I don't really practice open. This is the ATT variant, so that gives you some kind of sneak peek.

That at twill be carrying this thing. I have the aurora silver. So, let's crack this open. Unfortunately, at t puts all these uh logos on the back here. It is you've got the big jumbo ATM t logo on the back, which I dislike.

But here is your camera setup. Now, taking a look around the sides here and first off, I have to say this phone tapers off, so nicely it's its like a. I got my v60, and I'll compare those in another video, but um wow. This thing tapers off so thin on the sides. It just feels good, so you've got the volume rocker here.

This is going to be a customizable button more than likely- and this should be the power button over here again camera setup on the back microphone up top sim tray, headphone jack type c microphone. Speaker out, you got the camera up front right there, so this is uh very nice, and I'm going to get this set up for you. I appreciate them looking at this unit again they sent over the ATP version, so I'll be able to test 5g for you, basics in the box. You can see what it's going to look like when you start it up with the ATT version. You know they have lots of logos and things like that, but nonetheless, I'm not too concerned about that.

I'm concerned about the performance of this device uh. I love the little velvet logo uh performance of this device, uh and um, getting it all set up, so I'm going to get this set up, and then we are gonna talk, and just so you know one more thing before I get out of here. Just one more thing: the dual screen is here all right. Well, here is the v60 right here and here's the velvet now the v60 obviously has the same size screen and everything. It is a little taller uh and the design of it, in my opinion, is obviously better on the velvet.

So the velvet is a lot narrower, obviously it tapers off and gives it a real thin. This almost feels like a better version of the OnePlus 8. So that's how you can kind of think about that. I had to put it in airplane mode. It was way too many notifications, but should be okay now so um.

Obviously this is my T-Mobile here we go. This is my T-Mobile uh v60 uh, and this is the ATT version of the velvet. Now again, the velvet um is a snapdragon 6765g, which is a 5g version, and the T-Mobile obviously is a 5g phone. Um I've been playing with this, and I've gotten it all set up. I've been actually using it for at least an hour now or more, I'm not even sure, but um.

The velvet uh is really nice man. It is a better feeling device in the hand. It's its thinner. Furthermore, it doesn't feel as bulky, even though it has the same size screen. Obviously I got all my apps that I'm going to put on here in here now before I get any further into this.

This actually man it is had so many so much bloatware um that I was just shocked. Uh. I like this right here. I was shocked that it had so much bloatware. But again, that's a part of the game.

When you get a carrier device, uh shaky cam a little there. This is the 18v TNT version, and so I don't know the unlocked version. I'm sure does not have all this bloatware, but there was a lot of bloatware in here and I just left some ATM t stuff. So you can kind of see what I'm talking about, but there's a lot of games and stuff in here. So I just left the game right here, and I left the Final Fantasy and I think, one or two more, and I'll install any games that I want to install on here, but as far as bloatware, if you get the ATT version, you're going to see a locked period.

You're going to see a lot of bloatware, so just keep that in mind, uh, but again um. You know the lg uh velvet here is actually pretty impressive man after playing with it for a while. I don't see the differences that I thought I was going to see with the um against the uh v60. Now remember this is a snapdragon 765, but at the same time you know it's it. It's flowing right along, I mean you've got always on display.

You got pretty much everything that you have on other devices. You have it here. Furthermore, you have the option to do the brighter display too. I turned that on the other side, other one um tap the show. First, you can always do on.

Let's turn that on. Let's do it always on um, but I think that all the features that you would want in the higher in v60 they're here and the only difference between these that I've noticed is the processor I can't think of anything else, and obviously I'm using gestures. I've gotten so used to gestures. Thank goodness, I was kind of worried that I wouldn't get used to gestures over time, but I've gotten there so um when it comes to differences between these two devices. I don't see it.

I don't see that there's um a difference. To be honest, so you can turn on night mode. It's beautiful! The settings are gonna, be all the same. This has stereo speakers too. So you know that's that's what it is.

So obviously like the lg devices, they come with a theme, and I think this is important, so you can customize this device. However, you want it's a beautiful thing, so the experience with lg is going to be the same. Now I do have the dual display, so we are now going to take a look at that. So here's the dual display screen: let's get a knife and unbox this here, pretty excited. I didn't get the g8x shout out to my man Albert you.

Again he pushed me to get that g8x, and I was like nah, but here, oh you know why I'm excited right because it's silver. Yes, all right man! This is crazy. Oh, boy! I am feeling this. Oh man, this is beautiful. This is beautiful wow.

So obviously you have your instructions and stuff in here, and you have that same little, adapter that you have with the other one. Let me see I got it down here, so I keep it stored away, so I don't lose it. I keep it connected to a little magnet but same thing, same adapter, so that's important, but this is silver, and the other one is black, and I'll bring that in here in just a second there. It is dual screen and effect. If you look at these, this is still going to make the phone bigger.

But since the v60 is bigger, this case is just a hair, bigger man. It is just a hair bigger, but the v60 is a thicker phone. You know, so you get this um bigger, feel. So, let's put that to the side for a second and let's pop in for the first time, the dual display on the velvet all right, so you get that same pop-up that you get when you first um power it on. Oh, man boom.

Ah, this lg is on to something folks. They are onto it and I am pumped. I never thought that I would name lg devices as top devices period across you know a landslide and you'll get you'll, get several people that say otherwise, and you know what I respect it. I respect it, but let me tell you something: nobody is doing this. Nobody is doing this.

This is a thing of beauty. This is a thing of beauty. I mean this is just incredible man that they're able to get this and get the pricing right now. Speaking of pricing, I don't know the pricing on ATT. I don't know the pricing of this device period when it comes to the US launch again.

I have the official U. S.5g version of this device, so obviously it's going to be on a t, because this is an ATM t variant, but oh my gosh this just for this offering right here, and I'm going to tell you the screen on this one. Since this device is built different, you see how you can really see the curve compared to the v60 it's just kind of flat across so this device is, it feels thinner, even though I know it's not, and you have it is tapers off along this side right here. You know because this device has a curved screen so Motorola. Take that I guess Motorola take that shout out to my man grant s.

He knows what that's about Motorola. Take that so looking at this setup man I mean I'm pretty sure it operates the same. You get this swipe across boom and you just gotta you just gotta, laugh at the beauty of lg doing this on these devices, one plus what one plus, who nah son everybody's excited about that OnePlus word I'm excited, but I'm not that excited shout out to my man. Soldier knows best too he put up a video on their earbuds. I will be checking those out, but um wow.

This is multitasking. This is multitasking two apps all at the same time, you can do a movie over here. Whatever you want to do, the dual screen setup is where it's at now, you close it up, and you've got all of your information at the top. So let's close it up, I do like this better. I think lg learned something this feels better.

This is slippery and sticky out front. This is just glass or a plastic front. This has like that glass front, and you know it's going to be more susceptible to breaking uh, but look at the information is still applied. The same. This is beast mode folks.

This is beast mode. This is how you do it. This is incredible right here, son. This is how- and I love the silver color. You guys know.

I didn't want to switch to this color, but I wanted the dual screen and I had to switch. I had to turn in my silky white and get this one because lg didn't. Allow me to have a silver version, but that is a problem solved v60 and got my velvet right here with the silver that I love so much. You can make phone calls with it closed again. The v60 feels bigger, because this phone is thinner in this case is a bulky case on the velvet too.

It's a bulky case the magnets are sticking to, but ultimately this uh shaky cam bumpy can shaky cam bumpy gap. The remix uh shout out to my man, Taney so lit for all the super beats. This looks better. This is what my v60 silver case would have looked like if they were giving me a v60 silver case like this, but thank goodness god bless. I was able to get the velvet and oh I'll, address that too.

The positioning of my fingerprint uh I'll show you again right here. Sometimes my fingerprint. Oh, it's opening real, quick, but sometimes the fingerprint is a little wonky. Well we'll work on that later uh, but the silver color. You can't tell me this isn't boss right here.

This is beast mode right here, folks, this is a flagship killer period. Phones like this, when they get ragged on and and and people trashing real bad without having awesome pokey who wants to carry around two screens, I used to say I don't think I can carry around like this for a long time, but after using this device, I'm all in with the dual screen setup. This is a great version of a foldable device, and obviously I could fold it over like this, and it automatically disables the screen you pop it back open boom. You got your screen back now. Tell me that is in beast mode.

Oh, come on folks, the silver color everything is there. So I was in the settings earlier, and you know it's the same setup with lg. Let's go into storage, real quick! This is 128 gig versions. I've put all my apps in here and everything I haven't shot any video or footage, or anything like that. I'm going to save that for you for another video, so I can come strictly from the device, but you can kind of see everything that's being taken up here.

Let's see, we can free up some space and just see what it does. Okay, boom. Storage.128! That's that's! What's up man! This is going to be a very, very, very pleasurable experience because I like the v60. This is already gearing up to be my phone of the year. I don't care what nobody else says.

I get my opinion over here and this is what it is. But here is the dual screen beast a new boy on the block man, the dual screen: just fire type. Oh! This is crazy right here, son. I have to. I have to end this video because I'm just way too excited I am pumped.
