The laptop is powered by a 13.3 inch, full HD touchscreen IPS display AMD Ryzen 5 pro 4650u processor, 8gb, ddr4, ram, 256gb, NVMe, hard drive, Vega, 6, graphics, 802.11, ax, Wi-Fi 6 card Bluetooth, 5 720p, webcam, fingerprint reader, Microsoft, windows, 10, home 64, bit edition and weighs only three pounds. Now, let's look at the ports on one side, we have USB c port, USB 3.1 type, a port headphone and microphone jack, and on the other side we have USB 3.1 type, a port one, USB c port and a power button. The laptop comes with 720p resolution camera with microphone and following is a video quality from the webcam.

The camera's picture. Quality is good enough for video calls. The camera also has a privacy shutter that lets you close the webcam when not in use. Overall, the IdeaPad has a design that is simple and clean and smooth aluminum body hides fingerprints very well, there's also a fingerprint reader for extra security, and when it comes to upgradability Lenovo allows you to upgrade some components you can access the laptop motherboard by removing the screws from the back cover. You need to be careful while removing the back cover with proper tool, but the process is very simple: you can replace the existing NVMe hard drive, and you can also change the Wi-Fi card, but that's about it.

You cannot upgrade the ram because it is soldered to the motherboard and there is no expansion slot, but you can always configure more ram from the factory during your configuration at lenovo. com. But good thing is ram is running a dual channel, so you will benefit from good performance and, as mentioned before, laptop comes with latest 802.11. Ex Wi-Fi six cards, but you can upgrade in the future. If you want faster Wi-Fi in the CPU cooling, we have a single copper heat, pipe heat sink and single fan.

You can adhere the fan during general usage, but temperature never crossed 91 degrees Celsius during our test, but CPU fan kicks into higher gear a lot which means cooling is not sufficient, but enough to keep the laptop temperature under control during gaming or intensive workloads. Now, let's talk about design and build quality, starting at just 3 pounds. The yoga 6 laptops is light enough to carry around school or college campus. The laptop offers a clean and modern look. The top cover has a denim-like material which looks good and protects the metal below it from scratches, but the cloth will catch dirt and can be damaged if not handled carefully, but the rest of the laptop's building material is aluminum.

First impression from visual standpoint is very good compared to any other laptop in this price. Category. There's no flex in the body and the overall build quality is great, with great level of attention to detail, with smooth feel on the surface. Providing good comfort to the touch overall yoga, 6 construction does not feel cheap and body will be able to withstand general day-to-day usage. Now, let's look at the features and specs the yoga 6 display has thin bezels and our unit came with 13.3 inch, full HD, IPS, touchscreen and led back lighting provides thinner and more energy efficient screen. The screen needs a little help from other hand when you open the lid up, the yoga 6 visuals are handled by integrated AMD graphics, watching YouTube or Netflix content looks good, and this display works very well in low light conditions.

As for the brightness, it comes in around 282 nits with 94 RGB. Also, the viewing angles are good, with good contrast ratio. The laptop's keyboard is good for longer typing experience. The pressure point is noticeable, provides click feedback and decent key travel. On the other hand, the key size and arrangements are very good and our unit came with backlight keyboard.

As far as the touchpad is concerned, it is a regular size, touchpad, and it feels good during gel usage and makes a solid clicking sound in the performance. Our yoga 6 is equipped with AMD Ryzen 5 pro 4650u processor. The processor is based on AMD's latest dozen, 7 nanometer technology with 6 cores and 12 threads with base clock, speed of 2.1 gigahertz and a maximum clock speed of 4 gigahertz. This processor is used in mainstream and 2 in 1 laptops. Its performance is sufficient for everyday general usage office tasks and some gaming.

It can also handle very well some more demanding stuff such as video editing, falling is a 4k video file sample at higher nitrate and laptop was able to run it flawlessly without any lag or problem. During our video editing test in Adobe Premiere pro, we were able to load 4k video clips and, while scrubbing around it was able to handle it without any problem and finish the 4k clip encoding to h.265 format with decent speed compared to its intel counterpart CPUs. Now, let's look at some benchmark results. The dozen 5 pro 4650 processors, scored 4282 points in cine bench, multi-thread, CPU performance, benchmark running at 2.1 gigahertz and while comparing it against new AMD Ryzen 7 4 7, 0, 0 u8 core 8 thread processors, which scored 2 61 points in cine bench running at 2 gigahertz. This is great multi-core performance by AMD's, the latest CPU and completely destroying its intel counterparts in cine bench, multi-thread, CPU performance and, while looking into CPU z, benchmark laptop CPU, scored 3079 points in multi-thread and 489 points in single thread.

Next, in geek bench, CPU benchmark AMD Ryzen, 5, CPU, score 1080 points in single core and 4916 points in multi-core, also in geek bench, GPU, benchmark AMD radon, GPU score 10 338 points. Next we ran 3dmark, skydiver benchmark and laptop scored, 10 537 points in CPU score and 8 957 points in graphic score and combined score of 8775 points and 3d mark overall score of 9 143 points in 3d, Mark's, graphic gaming test, 1 integrated AMD graphics was able to achieve close to 40 frames per second in graphics, test 2. It was able to achieve 38 frames per second and the total overall score of 8795 points. Making this laptop a good low budget gaming machine just don't expect dedicated graphic like performance, but I'm really impressed with the new AMD radon Vega, 6, graphics, performance. It is a big upgrade from last generation Vega graphics and provides a very decent gaming experience in many of the popular gaming titles.

In the storage solution, low offers great read and write rates, aren't scored, 1 689 megabytes per second read and 920 megabytes per second right in SSD benchmark. The fast NVMe SSD makes a tremendous difference in system performance and responsiveness. The laptop also comes with latest 802.11 ax Wi-Fi six wireless card, which offers both 2.4 gigahertz and 5g dual-band with a max speed of 2.4 gigabits per second, but you need a Wi-Fi, 6-capable router to achieve its full speeds in the audio yoga.6 speakers produce clear, sound with good quality and also supports Dolby Atmos. They get loud enough to fill a small room and following is the audio sample in the battery life department. Yoga 6 has a 60 watt hour battery unit.

The 64-hour battery can provide up to 13 hours of web browsing and about 10 hours of video playback with brightness low 220 nits. This is more than enough for students for on-campus projects or taking notes during classes. The laptop comes with 45 watt power adapter, and it is small and light enough to carry around the backpack. Let's do the final summary overall, the Lenovo yoga 6 laptops, is a very good convertible machine. The latest 3rd gen AMD Ryzen 5 processors, in particular, offers better CPU and GPU performance and destroys intel counterparts in most categories.

It is also a great budget friendly gaming machine for casual gamers and powerful enough to handle 4k video editing as well. From my standpoint, the Lenovo yoga 6 is an excellent buy for under 600, and every unit price was 549 dollar, which is the best price currently available in the market. For this laptop, the overall great performance by AMD, processor and NVMe storage provides a super. Snappy experience and touch screen seems to work very well, but it had some problems with the dedicated pen, but there are some concerns as well as you can upgrade the ram because it is soldered to the motherboard and there is no expansion slot, so you have to order the unit or buy the pre-configured one with sufficient memory. Also, laptop cooling can benefit from some improvements as well.

Having said that, I can recommend Lenovo yoga 6 for anyone who's in the market for a budget friendly convertible laptop for around 600, which offers excellent performance without breaking the bank.
