LG G8X Dual Screen Unboxing and First Impressions | Painfully Honest Tech By PAINFULLY HONEST TECH

Okay, usually don't film stuff on Sundays they're, trying to take a break, but today I just got delivered from Amazon this guy now I have been very except well. I was really excited when the v50 came out with a dual screen, and then it didn't come to the United States for some reason, so I've been once I saw this at CES. I was like, oh, my goodness. That's that's. Fantastic I need to have one of those and check it out, because it's a foldable thing that is not stupid. So here I am I've, got it, and I'm going to open it up.

You want to have to look at my silly face anymore. Okay, so here it is the LG G 8x think-think, dual screen uh yeah. This just came from cameras on it is six hundred and ninety-nine dollars for those of you following at home. The flip phones that the foldable phones that are available right now from other companies are much more expensive. So we're just going to talk about this.

This could be the best value in foldable phones, I, don't know, yet I have to try it out. But let's just go ahead and pull the top off the box. This was $6.99. Here's the screen put that over here and then put this down here once again, we're greeted by a cleaning cloth I've had these cleaning clothes before they're, not better at all, really honestly I had it, so I'm excited about the cleaning cloth. You can never have too many cleaning.

Cloths I am kind of insane about cleaning my glasses so well. Okay, have your LGG a thin queue front camera in fingerprint display, which is new for LG I, believe a dual screen detachable Google Assistant button. So they have this Google Assistant button over here. Let's just go ahead and our promise yeah free second year of limited warranty, which is better than almost every other phone manufacturer out there. So let's go ahead, pull this guy out the box.

You know everybody who's reviewed, LG phones recently have talked about how bland the design is. I, I, don't think this is a bland design. I call this understated. It's really nice. It has a little of a blue tint to if it's, and it feels perfect.

Very solid, very solid phone I am impressed. Here's that here's that Google button that you can disable here. You have the power on button, and you have volume rockers over here. Up top, you've got your SIM card tray down here at the bottom, you've got USB-C, one speaker and a headphone jack, let's say just a headphone jack. This is a headphone jack that has the 32 bit DAC Super quad 8 HD Babbitt blah.

It's a perfect, headphone jack, it's it's better than purpose-built amplifiers and DAC s4 headphone jacks. So this is good. This is good. I love to they've kept this as part of their deal. So before I get too many fingerprints.

Let's go ahead and take this out. What do we get in here? Sim ejector tool, Quick Start, Guide, product safety information? Then we have USB a two USB-C now I wish this would be black, but it's not it's a small thing though, and then the only other thing we have in there is the fast charger. Yes, LG gives you a fast charger as well, so put that over there you move out of the way, because out of the way there we go that's what's in this box, no headphones, which is disappointing, I mean you know, you got a super quad DAC. It was a 3.5 millimeter jack, which is an endangered species these days, and you don't give us a set of headphones. Okay, fine, fine! Be that way.

Let's turn this thing on, get it blew it up. Some people might wonder why my head shake a little uh, it's one of the medications that I take, so you know make fun of that. If you want to, but I'm not happy about it. Okay, well, that's finishing up! Let's go ahead and look at the dual screen see what that's all about it is also taped shut. Let me get my super fancy scissors.

Yes, it doesn't come out that way. How do you want to come out of here? All right well, come out. It just won't come out, okay, how to install with a dual screen. It has USB-C as a USB, C port there that you stick the phone into, and then you put it in like it's a case. I watched a couple videos marques Brown lee complained about the unquote fingerprint magnet at the front screen understood I'll.

Do it the right way, so it opens up what we got here. Oh, this is the little magnet tool, that's cool, okay, so this is how if it's a good magnet. Okay, I can do that. Okay, you put a USB cable, the USB cable that comes with it, you put in there, so we've got precautions when separating the mobile phone from the LG dual screen: I'm reporter and Quick-start card. It's got YouTube, it's got, I, don't know what that is gallery look it's! This is weird. It's got different buttons over here. You've got dual screen yeah. This is. This is funny I'll go to Chrome, so you can see this, so we've got a little teardrop, which I don't mind at all.

This is the least sort of intrusive way of having a front-facing camera, but they have another one on this side and there's no camera in there. They just I guess with the v50. There were some complaints with the dual screen that it didn't have the same: color, temperature and stuff as this. So they just used the exact same panel as this one over here, which means that they, it has a notch teardrop. So there's that gaming see you a swap nine baby.

Okay, update I, really like I, really like this mode right, yeah, there's a game mode that gives you the opportunity to use this as like. A control pad and I will go over that in the full review on the front. We've got a little screen that does the time and the date and whatever notifications you might have, plus the battery I guess I have to turn it on as like an always-on display, but to you the people who have been complaining that this thing is too bulky. I mean this is like. Okay, if you carry an otter box community commuter case, it's not it's very thin.

Very light, I mean yes. The second screen adds some weight to it, but it's not bad at all. So LG g8x think here it is with its dual screen. Attachment I am pretty excited to check this guy out. So there it is the LG G, 8, X thin, Q I.
