iPhone XR Unboxing - The Budget iPhone X

What is going on everyone. We have the iPhone 10, our in-house we're gonna, be doing an unboxing and saying what do we get for the so to speak? Budget iPhone, 10, alright, so the one that I have here is the red version. So we got that product red in-house and let's see what we got, I'm really interested to see how this looks because there's been a lot of talk about the display, but I really think it's one of those things you have to behold to appreciate. But in here what we have been the Apple stickers, typical packaging and then the product red pamphlet here, along with a SIM tray, ejector and some additional information. So that's pretty standard. So let's just move this out of the way and hop into the box here.

So here is the product red, iPhone, 10 R, and it looks good I'm really filling this glass back with these old and the sides are red. So you have an all glass back and then aluminum size. So on the 10s and 10 and 10s max. You have stainless steel sides, so it has a little of a shine to it, but what the 10r it's a little more adult which I actually like, because it's not gonna, pick up fingerprints as easy, and it still looks very premium. Then you have the glass back which, if you didn't know the glass on the back of this, is actually more durable than that on the iPhone 10 and the front glass is pretty much the equivalent to that on the iPhone, 10s and 10s max, but yeah I like the way this feels it has a little weight to it.

I like the size of this, though it's like a nice medium between the iPhone 10s and iPhone 10s max. So it has a familiar feel: let's go ahead and get this turned on I'm, really feeling the read on this more than I anticipated the way it wraps around the entire device. I really like that, so I'm gonna, let this power on and as it you know, gets to where it needs to be we're going to see what else is in this package here. So we also have the Apple EarPods. Now, with these, you do not from what I'm seeing get the adapter, but you have your Apple EarPods, that's going to connect to your Lightning port and then have your typical Lightning charging, cable and then also your o5y power, adapter, really simple setup here very standard, nothing per se different or new.

All right! Now, let's get back to the phone, the real star of the show here. So if you're not familiar with the specs on this, you basically have a 12 megapixel rear facing camera, which is pretty much identical or comparable to that offered on the iPhone 10 s and iPhone 10 s max then, along the front, you have a 7 megapixel camera, which once again, is very similar to that offered on the iPhone, 10s and 10s max. You still have portrait mode on the rear and front facing camera as well, which is nice, especially considering you just have one lens on this, so I'm going to go ahead and set this up really and fill in this color man. It's like the perfect shade of red like ruby, red or something like that. I, don't know it just looks perfect.

Alright, so I'm going to find a video now on iTunes to just kind of see what a movie looks like up here and just cross compare that, but when you have the opportunity to put this right next to a phone that has a better display, in short, you're gonna notice, a difference, but I think and just looking at this and not really having anything to base it off of, especially if you're coming from like an iPhone, 6, 7 or 8 I honestly really feel like you're gonna, be fine unless you're just a pixel seeker. So let's take a look at a video I'm going to choose up this brightness where's the true tone. How do you turn true tone off, so I'm going to hit play on both of these? At the same time, look at how these videos look at that. It's really, really hard to tell the difference between the two. So they both look great honestly, but I will say in looking at different things on this versus the 10s max I noticed the display on this was a lot warmer.

It wasn't as bright, and it wasn't as sharp, but it wasn't terrible either. I just feel like to most that are probably looking at this phone and not quite wanting to spend the price that is required for an iPhone, 10s and 10s max I. Don't feel like this. Is that bad, especially when you're looking at the phone kind of like at an average viewing distance versus right up in your face, where you're actually looking for the difference in pixels now, one thing that is noticeable here, I would say, are the bezels on the 10r. They are much thicker than that on the 10s and 10s max.

So that is a noticeable difference. Is it a deal-breaker type of difference, though? Now to me one of the cool things about the 10r, though, is just how much it has in common with the 10s and 10s max for a lot less in price, so I feel like especially for consumers that have anything less than an iPhone 10 and looking towards getting an iPhone 10, but you know, might want to be a little more conservative on the wallet. This could really be a good option. You get different colorways, you still get the same, awesome camera on the 10s and 10s max. You lose the OLED display, but you do instead have a liquid Retina display, which, based upon my initial observation, doesn't look bad, maybe in consuming other content more consistently, I may notice a difference.

Furthermore, you also lose 3d touch up here, but you have haptic touch which I like the fact that, even though it's not 3d touch, you still feel some type of operation to. Let you know that you activated the haptic touch option, so you still do feel a little of a vibration, whereas I know like on something like my iPad Pro, which doesn't have that technology, but still allows me to force press on something and pull out more options. I don't feel anything, and it's different, but this one you feel a so vibration and I like that, because I'd rather feel a little something than nothing at all. And then you still have portrait mode on the rear facing and front facing camera. So I'm personally excited to it's out a little further.

I do have my iPhone 10s max review coming soon, in addition to my Apple Watch Series for review coming soon, but initial impressions I, like what I see here I feel like this is like the budget, iPhone tip I know. Sometimes the 10s max could feel a little unruly like I love, the large phone and the large display, but sometimes it was just a little harder to navigate, especially with one hand, but this iPhone 10 R just feels like perfect. It's just slightly bigger than the 10, but not quite as big as a tennis max, but yeah I'm going to be doing some more coverage on this, and probably updating you in the meantime on my Twitter and Instagram. So definitely follow me up there. Let me know down below in the comment section some questions that you have for my review of the iPhone 10 or so I can possibly feature some of them in there and answer them as well.
