Everyone attention from ETS personal tech team, and today we have the iPhone 10 R. Now this was announced alongside the tennis and the tennis max, but was a little delayed, so we do finally have the device with us. This is an India unit, so it has the Indian official MRP. We do know that there are three versions as well: there's a 64gb for 76901 hundred 28 480 1900, and this one is the 256 gigabyte, the top-of-the-line version, which is for rupees 90 1901 about the 10 are done we know already. We do know that it comes in several colors, unlike the tennis there's, a product red edition, there's a yellow white, coral, black and blue. All of them have a color matched aluminum frame, unlike the stainless steel, only more expensive, 10s and 10s max.
So let's open it up, and we will talk a little more about these specs and what's in the box, so up front, we have the phone itself. This is the white edition. It has a silver aluminum frame. You get the standard charger. This is not a fast charger, unfortunately, but Indian pins.
For this you get a set of lightning earphones. There is no lightning ? 3.5 mm adapter in the box. It was omitted in the tennis as well, and you have the standard, lightning, cable there. So pretty much the usual box contents over here. You also have the usual Quick Start Guide, sim eject tool and the Apple stickers so onto the device itself.
Remove the plastic. This is a 6.1 inch, liquid Retina display, as I have to calls it, which is actually their term for an LCD. So this, unlike the tennis and tennis max this phone, has a liquid crystal display. What that means is that it's an obvious cost-cutting measure, because the OLED panels are definitely more expensive. Now, some of the things that you're giving up compared to the 10s, that is probably the most frequent question that one would get asked basically you're, giving up the OLED display and these rear dual camera system, while the tennis and tennis max get the dual camera, this one gets just a single camera, and it is the same primary camera from the tennis.
Now, some of the other things that you could probably say that you are giving up the higher resolution screen from the 10s. Also, this screen is a little lower resolution that has the stainless steel frame. This is aluminum.3D touch is also not there, and this is ip67, while the 10s and 10s max are ip68. So we have the device set up now, and you can really tell that this has fairly thicker borders, the bezels as compared to the 10s, although you will also notice that the lower bezel the bottom bezel is quite thin for an LCD. Now, typically, when you have this full screen, not type displays with LCD's.
Most of the Android phones have thicker bezels at the bottom, but this one they've managed to keep the bezels the same on. All of these three sides and the front still has a notch, because it has the same face: ID system as the 10s and 10s max, so no difference there whatsoever. It still gets the a12 Bionic chip, which is really, really fast, as we've seen in the 10s. It will give you really great battery life because it's got a lower resolution screen as well. Wireless charging is still included.
It's a last back and I already mentioned the face ID. So what else about this phone now, certain things you would have expected that are present are also there. The display is true tone. That means it auto adjusts to the ambient lighting and not just it of the brightness, but also in terms of color temperature. The screen has a wide color gamut.
It's the p3u color gamut. It gets really bright at us, 625 nits of brightness, and it also has the oleo phobic coating now. One thing that you may also would like to know is that the touch sensing layer actually moves at a hundred and twenty Hertz. It's not the display, but it's just the touch layer, that's 120 Hertz, so it feels really smooth in terms of the movement you get are actually very similar feeling, as you do with the tennis and the tennis max now. One thing that you will give up because of the display is 3d touch.
So this you cannot actually do a 3d touch on the settings. You know app or any of the other apps that have the 3d touch enabled. So you can do certain things with a long press instead of 3d touch. For instance, I am just now going to increase the increase and decrease the flashlight levels, and you can do that with a long press instead of 3d touch, so certain places the touches. It has been replaced by that, but in all other aspects it feels and works very, very similar to the 10s max in terms of photographs.
It's using machine learning to give you the same portrait effects that the 10s max gives you it's a 12, megapixel wide-angle view camera its F 1.8 aperture is its a quad LED flash here, and it has the AI portrait mode and can shoot 4k video at up to 60 frames per second. There are a couple of differences between this and the 10s when it comes to the portrait mode, since this is using only a single camera, it does not give you all the portrait lighting effects just three of those. Instead of the full gamut of portrait lighting effects for the rear camera, but since the front camera is exactly the same as a tennis max you get all the portrait lighting effects that you get on the tennis. In addition to your emoji and me Fuji, you know the avatars, the animated of thirds that you can create, and the front camera also will record 1080p video at 60 frames per second, so parting thoughts, we've seen. Actually all the colors and the color matched aluminum looks really great.
I think the color is probably one of the highlights of the 10r. It has some really beautiful colors and especially when you look at the red, the blue and the coral, so you're not able to get a sense of it with this device. But those colors look fantastic, other parting thoughts, the 10 iPhone 10 is still available and with offers it can actually come down to slightly lower than the starting price of the 10r. So that's something to consider if you really want the dual camera: the OLED, the stainless steel frame and a really more premium design, you can still go with the iPhone 10, but if you want the best performance that you can get actually of any phone, the a12 Bionic is really, really hard to beat right now, and if the performance really concerns you, and you're, okay with getting an LCD with thicker bezels, then the iPhone 10 R is where it's at. So thanks for watching this video, if you have any questions or comments about this, the 10r, just let us know, tell us what you think about it, whether you choose this over the iPhone 10 or the 10s.
The pricing, unfortunately, is a bit on the higher side again in India because of the duty structure, but as with all iPhones. This one also comes with an international warranty, no matter where you buy it from so feel free to pick up one of these from any other markets where it's cheaper than India, and you still get that water thanks for watching.
