iPhone 7 Plus Camera Review! Portrait Mode & 56mm - The Best Dual Camera Setup

The iPhone 7 plus, has the ideal to a camera setup. This is because it mixes a wide-angle camera with a normal focal length. What they're calling a telephoto lens, the 56 millimeter lens, allows you to have a walk-around lens. It is close to what your eyes see in the real world, see wide-angle lenses, alter what you're, seeing for example, here this seating area really isn't that long. It is only when I change to the 56 millimeter lens and step back that you get to see the difference and the difference is huge. Just like when you take a picture of people, the closer you get to them, the more their proportions will warp and when I change the focal length to 56 millimeters, you can see that their proportions are now closer to reality.

The main difference is that the 56 millimeter lens will not work so well in low light, but having this focal length is very attractive for anyone that wants to use their phone for some real photography. The color is a dynamic range, the sharpness. The cameras render things beautifully. Now there have been many comparisons made, and one camera gets higher scores for having better exposure or vibrant colors than the iPhone 7. But this is what I want to emphasize the default camera app will usually make the correct decision, but if it doesn't do forget that the main thing is to expose it properly and have it in focus then take a few seconds to edit.

If I took these pictures here and asked people to guess which phone I use. The first person said right away. The Galaxy S7 edge, the colors are better. The exposure is better. You can see.

One has a lot more detail than the other one, but in fact this is the same picture taken with the iPhone I just took a few seconds to edit it in the Photos app. The cameras are great and in the end, you will be able to get the results that you want, whether you use the default camera app or a pro app that shoots in RAW, but I think most people will just use the Apple's camera, except when it comes to video with video I opted for film Pro. This app allows me to pull focus and even stabilize the video with this 56 millimeter lens, which is not optically stabilized and because I can lock the exposure, focus and white balance. I can get the footage to look exactly how I want it and film at the frame rate that I want. If you are into video, this app is a must for your iPhone 7 plus now the portrait mode works beautifully, and it really does a great job of faking.

The depth of field. You may run into trouble a little with it, but don't be afraid to move the camera around. Allow the software to properly render the effect and then take the picture. This will take some practice, but the results are really nice and don't forget edit edit edit. So for me, the main thing to take away is that the 56 millimeter focal length is really what even professional photographers would want.

That's why they call it the nifty 50 everybody has a 50 millimeter lens. It's really the perfect lens to just walk around and take pictures. So when you're taking pictures with the iPhone 7, really what you're talking about our phones that are seven to eight hundred dollars, so all of those phones has really optics. Just don't forget that when you take a picture you can edit. So when you see comparisons with the pixel or the SM and edge or whatever, and they say that one phone has more dynamic range in the other or other pictures are maybe more colorful than the wealth on the iPhones.

Don't forget that what you want to do is you want to keep your exposure right? You want to get it in focus. You want a picture that is sharp and that it has good exposure and then, after that, you can just go ahead and edit your picture and get whatever picture that you want. Furthermore, you can say, other phones differ or are better, but the combination of a wide-angle lens and a normal lens gives the iPhone 7, plus the advantage versus any other flagship out there. This combined with the fact that you can edit the pictures to get any look you want, makes the iPhone 7 plus the ideal phone. If you want to get into some serious photography, this is Carlos.

Muse and I will see you in the next one.
