Hey guys back with your Apple news and a quick one today reacting to what looks to be our first look at an unboxing, or at least a hands-on, a very quick hands-on of the iPhone 12 Pro. This is coming today, just before, apparently, all the official reviews and unboxing come out. So apparently all the review units have been sent out and all the NDAs expire tomorrow, the 20th that should be when you will see all the official reviews, but we get a first look here and, to be honest, this thing is looking pretty good. So let's give my reaction. Firstly, this new color or old color. I guess this is called graphite this year from apple, looks pretty much the same all told, but you can see the LIDAR sensor in the iPhone 11 Pro it does.
Look like the camera sensor is a little larger overall as well, but really the back is going to be the same overall. But really the main difference is those flat edges. You can see the button shape and size has changed as well, also shiny edges. I guess this is the same as the iPhone 11 Pro. You do have those shiny edges, but these look way shinier.
So I don't know how these are going to hold up over time. You get the volume rockers on the left as usual, and yeah apple put this paper on top of their phones now. So it's rather like paper as opposed to plastic on the top bezels super thin, as we know thinner than the iPhone 11 Pro and that new form factor. I think it's looking pretty good to be honest, and is it real? Is it fake? It's probably real, because we're only a day out from all the NDAs expiring, apparently and iPhones will be around with a lot of reviewers. So possibly one of our first looks at a real iPhone 12 Pro.
Also in Apple news, though, we got some official pricing for repairs from apple, and it looks like the iPhone 12 Pro is going to cost the same to repair as at least the iPhone 11 Pro more expensive than the iPhone 11, though so we know that apple are using something they're calling ceramic shield screen this year. This is just a fancy name. They give to the latest version of gorilla glass. They use anyway, the cost for that shouldn't be too different to what we've seen in previous years. Obviously, the big difference is that both the iPhone 12 and 12 pro have OLED screens.
Last year, the iPhone 11 had an LCD which is cheaper, so you'll be paying around 279 us dollars for a screen replacement. If you are out of warranty, that's compared to 199 on the iPhone 11, but it's the same, as I said, the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 10 all at 279, because they're all using OLED displays. We also get. Some first looks, though, at the MagSafe chargers that apple are shipping and also official iPhone 12 cases. Now, with the case you can see on the inside, you do have those design cutouts for the magnets just to help them attach to the MagSafe chargers, even when the phone is inside the case.
Nothing too special here, just a phone case along with the MagSafe chargers, I think they're looking really cool, good design, classic apple design. These are not special, though you don't need MagSafe or apple MagSafe chargers to charge the iPhone 12. Magsafe uses QI wireless standards, so any QI wireless charger is going to be able to charge your iPhone 12 yeah. It may not have magnets in there to clip on it's not absolutely necessary, though you can charge your iPhone 12 without a MagSafe charger. As long as it is chi wireless standard and I think pretty much, all wireless charges are cheap standard.
There are some cropping up on Amazon already I'll leave some links below to them. If you want to go and check them out just to some brands that I've used before do, use and think are pretty good in terms of quality and price put them in the description. If you want to check them out other than that, we do have Ming core telling us how the iPhone 12 is selling, and it looks to be a blockbuster year for apple. So, according to him, the 12 pro max has actually sold way better than expected, but the 12 has outsold the 11 by a long margin. According to a note, he gave investors strong demand in China has pushed sales of both the iPhone 12 and 12 pro to almost the same amount of sales as the total iPhone 11 series.
So that's three phones versus two. He predicts that this year the iPhone 12 mini will sell about 10 to 15 percent of units, the iPhone 12 about 30 to 35, the iPhone 12 Pro 30 to 35 2, and then the 12 pro max around 15 to 20, so both the 12 and 12 pro seeing most of the sales, which is usually the case. Let me know what you think of that unboxing. It looks. Really cool, can't wait to see.
I guess tomorrow all the official reviews and unboxing from the big guys, but thank you for watching this one. Please give it a thumbs up if you liked it, and I'll see in the next one.
