iPhone 11 & 11 Pro - 6 Months Later

What is going on everyone. My name is Jason, and this is the iPhone 11 and 11 pro 6 months later, so it's been around six months since Apple debuted their latest and greatest smartphone devices, the iPhone 11 and the 11pro, and look, let's not beat around the bush about this. At the end of the day, what these bones represent. Our iterative upgrades to the iPhone 10s in the 10 are which they themselves are upgrades of the Apple 10 that was launched back in 2017, so expectations weren't crazy high with these new flagships, as consumers are pretty used to the overall look and feel of the phone before they even dropped. That being said, though, I have to say that both of these phones have really outdone themselves and I can see why anyone who's picked. One up is supremely happy with their decision and even six months later, but the iPhone 11 and the 11 Pro aren't joy to use, but I would still consider them to be top choices for best phones available today.

Now this isn't going to be an in-depth, comprehensive review of each phone. If you guys are interested in that click on the car to the right hand, corner it'll, take you to my review. I did last year, but today I want to focus on how the iPhone 11 and the 11 profit aged over the past six months and go over the reasons why I think they'll likely go down as some of the best iPhones ever made now before we get into the review, if you're into checking out the latest consumer tech products before you buy them or if you just stick it like me and make a video like this every single week, so make sure that you hit that thumbs up button and don't forget to subscribe. So you could be the first to know when a new Jr feels out, and you don't miss anything oh and quick question for you guys which iPhone 11 did you guys end up going with the 11, the 11 Pro or the 11 Pro Max? And, more importantly, why do you end up going with the one that you chose curious to get your thoughts? Let me know what you guys are thinking in the comments down below. Okay, the first thing I want to talk about is physical design.

Let's start with the iPhone 11 one thing: I love about this bone is the size. It sits right in between the iPhone, 11 Pro and the pro max, and it really is that Goldilocks fit of being large enough to get optimal screen size, but not to the point where it's super cumbersome to handle the execution of the glass and glass design with the brushed aluminum frame definitely puts this phone in the category of premium and something that really impresses me is that the vibrant colors, this phone comes in, doesn't get old or annoying over time like I still legit love the product red version of this phone and my initial concerns of it getting tacky after a while are totally gone now. It's also stayed in perfect physical shape over the past 6. Now, yes, I do usually have a case on it, but I don't baby, my phones, especially when I use them as my primary device and man. This thing looks virtually new I, don't see any scratches on the back, and the colored frame has no wear or fading whatsoever.

My iPhone 11 Pro max is a similar story. It's held up remarkably over the past six months. The new frosted glass panel is one of my favorite iPhone design elements as it's excellent at deflecting fingerprints, and it makes the entire look of the phone more refined and really helps distinguish it as the pro within the current iPhone lineup. The midnight green color is still awesome, love the stealthy look with a dark, stainless steel frame, and again it's almost pristine six months later. Overall, even though it was never a huge leap in terms of physical design, the iPhone, 11 and the 11pro are still extremely enjoyable to use, and no doubt have the durability to last quite a while.

Okay. Next, let's talk about displays and let's talk about the iPhone 11 display first, because it's way more controversial now a lot of tech heads hesitate to pull the trigger on this phone because it's rocking a sub 1080p LCD now look I'm, not gonna, defend it in saying that it's the best display ever or something like that. It's clearly out of whack, where most smartphones are even non flagship ones, but I do stand firm on this statement. It's a perfectly fine display, and even after switching around to other phones like the iPhone 11 Pro the Galaxy Note 10 and the most recent s20 ultra, the display iPhone 11 is still totally enjoyable. Its sharp and it could get super bright.

Apple has done an outstanding job, stretching it out to mirror the dimension of their hire and all that displays and consuming HD video content is still perfect and at the end of the day, if this is how Apple is able to get the iPhone 11 price point to where it is a point. I'll talk about a little later, then I'm, totally fine with that now the iPhone 11 Pro has a much more beefed up super retina OLED display, and it's pretty awesome. It's one of the brightest displays out there even beating on some tough competitors. The contrast is fantastic, and it's probably the most color active display on any phone now, for both the design is dated, as many phones have taken measures to limit any sort of notch or bezel. Clearly, that's not the case here and both are limited to 60 Hertz, refresh rates, which honestly doesn't seem as bad with the optimization of iOS being smoother than other operating systems out there.

But man there are a lot of expectations for the next iPhone to have a 90 or 120 Hertz promotion display and for good reason.6 months using these phones hasn't given me any Harper when it comes to these limitations, but the competition has really stepped up now, I'm eager to see when Apple is going to do in these areas, with the iPhone 12 and real quick before we go on to the next area of comparison. I know I'm going to get a ton of questions about where I got the wallpapers that you guys are seeing here, and it's a perfect time to give a shout-out to the absent who also happens to be the sponsor of today's video. If you guys have seen some of my best wallpaper app reviews. I've done in the past, you're likely already aware that I'm a huge fan of Surratt, it's been one of my go-to apps for wallpapers for a while now certain optimizes, all their wallpapers to perfectly fit the iPhone display and there's a really convenient preview option, giving you the user a perfect sense of what it looks like on your phone before you download, and then the selection here is on point I snagged up. Most of my tab strap wallpapers that you guys love from this app and there's a ton that you can choose from I'll categorize to help find what you're looking for a lot easier.

All you got to do once you get to wallpaper that you, like first click on it and then just press the download button in the middle and bam. It's downloaded to your photos, simple, as that the app is totally free, but you can't upgrade to surplus, which will give you access to all the premium wallpapers with no ads all for only 5 bucks definitely check it out. Link to download the app will be in the description. For me. It's a must-have app on any iPhone I'm, rocking, and I'm, confident that you guys will enjoy -.

Ok next, let's top performance, as both phones are rocking the class-leading, a 13 Bionic chip. It's not surprising to see that both the iPhone 11 and the 11 Pro, if not slowed down a bit. UI navigation is totally black free, app, still fire up quickly and stay open for a while. Even when idle spec intensive gaming is a walk in the park and taking advantage of advanced camera features is totally seamless. The only area of the phone that's starting to hit some issues is the internal storage and full transparency.

That's mainly because I have the base models here for both, so I'm definitely running low. Now, with all the pictures videos I've taken for half a year and though I don't think it'll ever come to an iPhone, this is when I really wish you'd supported micros expansion. Another area of performance at both phones have continued to do well in this battery life. Both ones stepped it up in 2019 in this category and both can easily get me through a day of heavy usage with no problem special shout-out to the iPhone 11 problem axe because it seriously has battery for days no kidding. I can go 48 hours without needing to re-up on it, and the battery health is still 100% six months later.

Overall, the performance on both phones is still rock-solid as to be expected, as Apple doesn't mess around a future. Their phones and I doubt I'll see any performance issues anytime soon. Okay, last, let's talk about probably the most important and significant component of the iPhone 11 and the 11pro they're cameras. Now it may not look like a lot was done with looking at the cameras physically, but Apple didn't mess around when it comes to image, processing and functionality, and it's leaps ahead of capability of the original iPhone 10, despite looking somewhat similar to start the front facing camera on. Both phones now can shoot 4k, video in native 24, 30 or 60 FPS, which is kind of insane for a selfie camera and great for all of you who regularly do Instagram stories or TikTok videos.

If the front-facing video quality is best-in-class. Also, the death sensors that are part of the hardware package of the notch helped me put some of the best port remote selfies. They come off more natural than competitors and edge detection has come a long way since Apple first introduced his feature a while back now when it comes to the cameras in the rear. The addition of an ultra wide-angle lens to both the 11 and the 11 Pro has proven to be a wise decision. I personally use it often 20 more than I do at telephoto, zoom and Apple has done a stellar job at keeping the colors consistent between it and the primary lens, both where cameras are equipped.

The next generation HDR deep fusion and Apple's dedicated night mode, which made for the best image processing on any iPhone to date. Pictures come off sharp. The dynamic range is a huge improvement from even a couple of years ago and night mode. Shots are arguably the best available on any phone right now pair, the significantly improved, still image quality, with its reputation as the undisputed reigning champion of shooting, 4k, video, and they'll start to make sense pretty quickly on why the iPhone 11 and the 11 Pro are different from their predecessors. It's pretty incredible because in just a couple of years the iPhone cameras went from being somewhere at the low end of the top 10, in my opinion, to the top spot in 2019, but over a thing, I've really come to appreciate over the past six months.

It's just how easy the native camera happens to use I could get to the picture mode. I want quickly holding down the shutter button to pop into video is really smart, and I love having the camera itself, detect low-light environments and automatically turn on light mode. It all comes together to be a masterful package, and it's definitely something I've appreciated more over time, all in all the cameras and what they can do really set the iPhone 11 and the 11pro, apart from a capability perspective, far more than what their appearances may give off. Ok, so if it hasn't been made clear, yet I've really enjoyed my time with both the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro they're, both rock-solid, reliable, very well-thought-out devices that do almost everything great. That being said, if I could choose only one of these, it's pretty clear, I'd go with the iPhone 11.

Don't get me wrong. I adore my midnight green iPhone, 11 Pro max it has seriously given me no problems, and it's one of the most luxurious phones I've ever had to joy using, but at the end of the day, it's not worse than $1,099 price tag, especially when the iPhone 11, which does about 98% what the pro does is only six hundred ninety-nine dollars at that price. The iPhone 11 will probably go down as one of the best value iPhones ever made as you're, getting such an incredibly capable phone at a pretty reasonable price. But hey, that's just me and I know that there's a whole army of pro max users that are ready to defend their choice. So let me know what you guys think.

Do you guys think that the iPhone 11 is the better value buy here, or do you think that the 11 Pro is worth the additional dollars? Let me know what you guys are thinking in the comments down below. Okay, that's about it, for this review. Don't forget to leave me a thumbs up if you guys find it useful. It really helps me out if you guys have any questions about the iPhone 11 or the 11 Pro, leave them down in the comments, and I'll be sure to get to them. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you guys in the next one you.
