Samsung Galaxy S21 5G vs OnePlus 8 Pro Camera Comparison

This is uh the front camera comparison between the OnePlus 8 pro and the s21 5g. Now on the s215c, I'm using 4k at 30 frames per second and on the OnePlus 8 pro, I could not find the option to switch the resolution for the front camera, so I know it in the post-production only what resolution this camera is shooting at, and I'll mention it below, so that you guys know as well. Um I've posted a couple of camera comparisons on my channel, and I have mentioned that I am shooting at the same place, uh with four different phones. So when you watch these videos, I'm not sure in what order I'll be uploading the videos, but whenever you watch them, make sure that you don't get confused between these videos and pictures, because I used four phones at the same place. Now. Let me know about the voice, recording quality of these phones and the video quality, the stability and everything else.

I am continuously walking to give you guys an idea about the stabilization it's a very bright day and take a look around and let me know which phone's result appeals you, the more and yeah make sure to hit the subscribe button and press the bell icon to turn on the notifications. Before I start the photo comparison, let me just quickly: uh run you guys through the specs of these phones. I'm talking about the camera specs, the camera spec details of the galaxy s21 are on your screen. This phone has the main camera sensor of 64 megapixels, and it uses a 32 megapixel camera sensor on the front. Now these are the details of the OnePlus 8 pros camera right on your screen.

The OnePlus 8 pro uses a main 48, megapixels, camera and rest of the details are on your screen. As far as the camera apps are concerned, both phones come with the camera applications of their own UIs. The one UI 3.1 camera application is quite advanced. Most of the options are common on both the phones, but the galaxy s21 has that 64 megapixels dedicated photo mode, and it does have 8k up to 24 frames per second video recording capability as well. Also, the galaxy s21 pro mode is much more powerful than the OnePlus 8 pros pro mode.

The galaxy s21 also has a very powerful pro video mode too. I have shot the images on both phones in all the common modes and in all the possible environments, and I am going to show you these images starting off with my own images. Let's start it off with the ultra-wide images. First, the OnePlus 8 pro has a brighter image, and the s21 has high saturation. Colors are more deep on the s21 dynamic range on the s21 is good.

Look at the ground. It's blown off on the OnePlus 8 pro, while it's totally detailed on the s21. Also look at the sky, not sure what the OnePlus 8 pro has done here. Those spots on the sky are quite annoying. Here is a normal picture, a 16 megapixel image from the s21 and 12 megapixels image from the OnePlus 8 pro OnePlus 8 pros image looks over sharp look at my face on the s21.

It is saturated and here's the 64 megapixels versus 48 megapixels image. You can zoom in a lot now look at the color of the sky. I think the s21 is continuously outputting, better overall colors, with a good amount of saturation OnePlus 8 pro lacks the saturation. Now here's the portrait. The difference is too obvious.

Once again, my face looks pale on the OnePlus 8 pro. The depth effect of the x21 is too strong. It separates the subject from the background very nicely. Let me know which look. Do you guys prefer out of these two now? This is a series of ultrawide images and their normal counterparts.

In all these images, you will find the saturation high on the x21 and the OnePlus 8 pro lacks that saturation. When I zoom in, I find the OnePlus 8 pro, providing slightly better details.8 pro has brighter shadows as compared to very deep shadows on the galaxy s21. The overall picture speaks for itself. I personally like the colors of the s21, but I am liking the shadow management of the OnePlus 8 pro OnePlus 8 pro brightens, the images at the expense of details. Sometimes this is a very nice mix of low light photos.

Just to give you guys an idea about how both phones perform in such a lighting condition. I found the s21 outperforming the OnePlus 8 pro. As far as the colors and overall look of the pictures is concerned, this one is a low light, ultra-wide image, and now this one is the low light normal image again and right after this, you are looking at 64 megapixels versus 48 megapixels, slow, light image. The s21 clearly performs better look at the color of the sky and also look at the black and the white lines. The OnePlus 8 pro is producing a cool color tone while it looks more natural on the x21 here in this scene.

Particularly, these are some more low light images, and you can see that the OnePlus 8 pro maintains a darker look. The s21 does a slightly better job, and this image looks quite similar on both the sides now here in this ultrawide image, check out the sky check out the clouds and check out the overall dynamic range. The s21, in my opinion, clearly wins this one, the same image in the normal mode and the s21 comes out on the top. Once again here the floor looks very warm on the OnePlus 8 pro as s 21's edge projection is superior same goes for this image and now here once again, it's a white floor, and it looks yellowish on the OnePlus 8 pro. This is bad.

It shouldn't be like this look at the s21s image. It's great ok! Here the x21 is flowing off the red color. It maintains a cool tone in the background. The OnePlus 8 pro is not producing the best red color, but it is not at least blowing it off. It does keep the floor quite visible.

The edge detection of the s21 once again speaks for itself. The OnePlus 8 pro does not have as good edge detection. This is also a self-explanatory, and I would like you guys to tell me which image is your choice now here in this ultrawide image, the sky looks bluish on the x21, which is actually better. It looks grayish on the OnePlus 8 pro. If you look at the grass, it is more detailed on the OnePlus 8 pro this images in the normal mode now and look at what the OnePlus 8 pro has done.

It has completely blown off the sun. This is clearly not good. Some similar images will now come your way and keep your eyes on the color of the sky. I am sure you guys will also end up finding the s21 a better choice. The OnePlus 8 pro fails to maintain that blue color of the sky.

However, when we zoom into the images the OnePlus 8, pro's 10x and the 30x digital zoom does better than the zoom of the galaxy s21. Here's another high-res image, and let me just zoom in to show you how both phones maintain the pixels, an indoor image. Look at the color of the sofa. It's too blue on the s21. Its original color is on the OnePlus 8 pro there's a color tone difference here once again, this is what happens when you get close to an object.

The OnePlus 8 pro has better macro capabilities. Let's take a look at the non-night mode and then the night mode images starting off with my own images. First, the s21 is producing a very close to reality and soft image. The OnePlus 8 pro has brightened up the frame too much. This is a portrait and the OnePlus 8 pro has added too much of a yellowish or, I think, greenish tone, and now this is a night mode image.

I am not sure who would pick up the OnePlus 8 pro out of these two for this particular image, a series of similar low light and the night mode images will come your way now. Most of these pictures are self-explanatory. The night mode images are a bit hard to just, but I think the s21 does a better overall job. S21 also allows capturing the night mode images through its telephoto lens. It goes up to 10x in the night mode.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 8 pro does not allow using the telephoto lens in the night mode. The OnePlus 8 pro adds too much of light to the images and compromises on the color tone. A greenish tent can be seen in the ultrawide night mode images of the OnePlus 8 pro. If you take a look at this particular ultra white image, check the rooftop of the house next to me and check this logo on the top of the building. This is what the OnePlus 8 pro does to the image, and this is where the galaxy s21 now takes the lead.

Let me know what do you guys think about these images? Anyways, let's move on to the selfies. The selfies also have a huge difference, as you can see. My face has that well saturated, look on the s21, and it's too bright on the OnePlus 8 pro look at the color of my shirt. The OnePlus 8 pro has blown off the white part of my shirt. The edge direction seems to be similar on both phones, it's majorly a difference of the saturation.

Once again, I really love the depth effect of the s21. As I said, it just clearly separates the subject from the background, but the OnePlus 8 plus depth effect blends the subject into the background. It doesn't look nicely separated if you're shooting selfies in bright light. The OnePlus 8 pro can blow off the highlights in the background too, just like you are seeing right now on your screen. I also think that the s21 is producing much higher details for the selfies OnePlus 8 pro is keeping them really soft at the moment.

I would like to know your thoughts on these selfies too. So in the end we have the rear, camera videos. I shot the videos in 4k at 60 frames per second and 30 frames per second modes. The result is on your screen and I would like you to decide which phone captures better videos. These are handheld videos just so you know, and it's a mix of broad daylight and low light videos in the meanwhile.

I would like to conclude this comparison. The whole purpose of this comparison was to see if the OnePlus 8 pros camera is still worth. The money that you have to pay for this phone after this comparison, I can say that the OnePlus 8 pro is a thing of the past. This phone is too popular, and I still see so many of my subscribers asking me if they should buy this one. So here's the thing if you are choosing between the Samsung Galaxy s21, the standard version which, which is about 100 us dollars, expensive than the OnePlus 8 pro in some countries, especially in my country, then the OnePlus 8 pro does not make any sense.

I suggest adding a few more extra bucks and getting your hands on the Samsung Galaxy s21, and you are going to love this phone's camera. The OnePlus 8 plus camera sensor is old, and it doesn't quite stand. Next to today's camera sensors. We will wait and see how the OnePlus 9 performs when it comes out. Let me know about your thoughts in the comment section down below hit like if you haven't yet subscribe.

If you haven't yet with that said, I will sign off and see you all in the next one. You.
