Hello everyone and welcome back to a brand-new video today. I am so excited about this video because I finally bought myself an iPad. This is the iPad Pro 11 um released in 2020. So it's the latest iPad Pro version, and I'm so excited that I got this. I've been wanting to get an iPad with an Apple Pencil for so long because I just wanted to create digital art and planning and use it for school, so I saved up for it and I finally got one, and I'm going to unbox it today, and I'm also going to try to procreate for the first time before we get into procreate, let's unpack the iPad and the pencil and put on the protective case and glass, and I'm not a tech freak or anything so don't expect a super detailed, unboxing video. This is just for fun because I'm so excited about this, and I hope you will enjoy this video let's get into the unboxing.
So I got a protective case, obviously and um some gloss, but I'm going to put this aside for now, while we unpack so, let's start with the iPad Pro, it doesn't look cool, it's always so cool to get new tech stuff and of course I also got the Apple Pencil. It's the second generation from the Apple Pencil, and I think I'm going to unpack the iPad first or should I start with a pencil? Okay, I'm gonna start with a pencil too, because it's a smaller package. I don't know how well my mic is picking this up, but maybe it's useful for some ASMR. Oh okay, you just pull it out like this wow I've never filmed an unboxing video for anything so wow there. It is! Oh, it's very bright, because everything inside this is white, but there it is um.
This is the pen. Oh, it's falling out right away. It's lighter than I thought it would be. It's looking pretty cool, almost like a normal pen, and it also came with my initials- that's pretty cool um. Of course, I ordered it that way.
But let's see what else is in this package, there is no charger because it charges when it connects to your iPad. So there is no charger in here or anything else, besides the pen so and just the manual. So that's not very interesting. Maybe I'm going to get a protective um case for that one as well, because some people say it's easier to hold with a case around it. Okay, definitely without the surrounding foil.
It feels very nice. It's not it's more of a matte color, and I really like that. I'm so excited about this. You guys I'm so excited. I don't want to make this video too long, but I'm I'm going to enjoy unpacking these okay.
Now we got the iPad Pro. I tried very hard to unpack that beautifully. It didn't work. Yes, wow, okay, ready guys, some more information. I got the iPad Pro with 512 gigabytes um for storage.
It's the same amount as my iPhone has, and I also got it in space gray once you open it, you just see the iPad itself whoa. Oh my god, I'm okay! This is the iPad. It's again way lighter than I thought it would be, it's very light. Actually I'm surprised by that, but it's going to be way heavier and let's remove the surrounding foil, wow, I'm so afraid of breaking new things like that wow. This green is also bigger than I thought it'd be.
I think, because, I'm so afraid of breaking things, I'm going to put on the protective case right away. So this is the protective case. I just got a clear case for the back, but I'm going to get another one in case I'm traveling and want my iPad to go underway with me. So this is the clear case: um, it's not completely clear. It's a black clear because I thought my iPad is dark, so um it doesn't get too yellowish too quickly.
So I got it in black and, let's put the iPad on this- is probably the most unprofessional unboxing video you can imagine. I had to change the perspective a little to show you better um, but that's how it looks. I can definitely decorate the back if I want to, and I'm going to put on the protective foil glass later. Let's see what else came in the package, so of course we have the manual with the usual things inside. I guess yeah just the usual nothing fancy to see here, and it also came with a charger.
This charger actually looks way bigger than my charger. It looks very different from the charger I have for my iPhone but yeah. That's all that this came with, and I'm so excited about this. You guys um, I'm going to put on the protective glass real, quick before I set it up and try to procreate with you guys. Well, okay, I put on the protective glass.
This is all ready to start off. I'm going to put the pan into the okay, so I'm going to turn it on the power button is up here we go. Okay, I'm excited um. Obviously I'm not going to show you the whole setup because of my personal data, and it's probably going to be very, very boring, but I'm going to show you a little, so this is pretty normal. I'm used to that.
So we're going to go with English, Germany and let's go I'm so excited. Oh, now it's it needs my Wi-Fi password, that's very complicated, so I'm just going to finish, setting it up and installing some apps, and then I'm going to be right back with trying to procreate together, okay, everyone. I did the first setup of my iPad. I logged in with my Apple ID and pre-installed some apps, so pretty cool. Furthermore, I'm super happy with it.
So let's start it. I just chose a super simple, lock screen for now, but maybe I will choose another one later on. However, I just installed some apps and organized it a little, but not too much, because obviously I just got it and I will probably reorganize everything once I use it more, but that's pretty much it for now and of course, I installed procreate and good notes and yeah. Today, I'm going to try to procreate um. Of course, I watched song tutorials.
I know the basics, so I'm just going to draw something real, quick, like a little lettering. Actually drawing with this pen is way different when I thought it'd be, but it's pretty cool. If you want to see more appropriate videos in the future, once I'm a little more skilled and practiced with it, let me know I think it's pretty cool and there's so much to try out here. So I'm just going to choose a simple brush pen, because this pen actually um sensors once you press down harder or the angle you're writing with, and it just you're riding with it. So that's why I can use a brush pen, so I'm just going to write something really quick see, so it actually writes like a brush pen.
Once I change up my pressure onto the screen, so what um? What can I? What can I write? Um it's actually way harder to control when I thought it would so what I'm going to do with procreate. First is gonna. I'm going to create new profile pictures for YouTube and Instagram for my channel and new layouts, and I hope this is gonna work out, and I was extremely impressed by the color palette, because there were so many options to choose from colors. You can literally get every color possible. You can even choose them from pictures and create your own palette, so you don't lose a color that you need to use throughout the whole artwork, and I really love that, and I feel like there are endless possibilities in procreate, and you can even create your own brushes and pencils, and I feel, like that's super cool, and you can do this thing where you can make shapes and straight lines if you hold onto the screen.
So that's extremely useful as well. You can form a perfect circles and rectangles, and all of that I feel, like that's, really cool, and I played around with that a little to get the hang of it on how to do it. And of course there are so many tools in procreate. I cannot explain everything, but there are so many great tutorials out there. So if you are also getting into procreate like me, I recommend watching um tutorials, oh yeah, this function, where you can just drop the color into a shape, and it automatically fills the whole shape, or you can change the color of um yeah.
You can just change the color, it's pretty cool, and I played around with that for a while, and I feel, like you have to practice appropriate. It's not like digital art is that much easier than real life art. I feel like it's um a little overwhelming. Actually how much you can do with procreate, so you really have to practice a lot and I try to practice more and more and for this video I will create a little lettering that says Mira's journal. But if you have noticed throughout the video, I already have a new intro and a new profile picture and everything I created that because it took me a little longer to get this video edited and up.
But throughout the time I edited this video. I also played around with procreate a little more, and I can say that it's, in my opinion, worth the price. Of course, it costs money, but I feel like it's really worth it because you have so many possibilities. You can create animated gives videos. You can have so many layers that really make your artwork stand out and if you are active on social media, and maybe even YouTube, feel like program really helps to make your videos more personal and interesting, because you can add your own hand, written titles.
Of course, there are probably other apps out there as well, but I feel like procreate, really has so many possible yeah, so many options for you to customize your art and your brushes and your color palettes, and I just works really well with the Apple Pencil, because it yeah sensors when you press down harder when you angle the pen- and I just love it, and you can blend so well with this app like right here with the lettering I blended in the lighter and darker colors, and I loved it so much. I'm just really excited about practicing more and trying different artworks, and I can definitely recommend you guys getting it and even if it costs a little of money for some people, it may be a lot of money if you really are into art and lettering, and it's worth saving up for it. Okay, you guys this was it from today's video. I hope you enjoyed it even though it was all over the place, but it was mainly for fun, because I was so excited about getting this iPad and I can't wait to create yeah art lettering and everything with it and use it for studying. I'm so happy.
Furthermore, I invested into this, and I hope you like the video and I hope to see in the next video as well. You.
