The mate 40 pro has a 6.76 inch display with a 1 344 p resolution. It also uses an Olin screen which creates very accurate colors.

The 6.76 inch display, therefore, measures 17.17, centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of 456 PPI. The Huawei has a 90 hertz refresh rate. The mate 40 pro has a great display with everything you want in a modern smartphone, except a 120 hertz refresh rate. Let us now take a look at the p40 pro pluses display. The p40 pro plus has a 6.58 inch display with a 1200p resolution. The very accurate colors are created by an old screen that 6.58 inch display. Therefore, measures 16.7, centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of 441 PPI, the whole wire p40 pro plus has a refresh rate of 90 hertz when it comes to display size. The p40 pro plus is smaller than the mate 40 pro, and it also falls behind in terms of pixel density and resolution.

The differences are not huge, but still the mate takes home. The point in this category performance the Huawei Mate 40 pro, has 256 gigabyte internal storage capacity. It is equipped with its in-house produced high silicon, pure 9000 chips and has 8 gigabyte ram. The storage capacity can be expanded with another 256 gigabyte, there's also a 128 gigabyte and a 512 gigabyte version available, but that depends on the country you are in. The mate comes with Huawei's new ship, the high silicon Kirk 9000.

Let's dive into 340 pro specs, the Huawei p40 pro plus has 512 gigabyte internal storage capacity and is equipped with the in-house produced Huawei Karin 995 g chip and has 8 gigabyte ram. The storage capacity can be expanded by up to 256 gigabytes. Both have 8 gigabytes of ram, but the mate 40 pro has advantage of the 5 nanometer process technology. So let's take them into the an tutu benchmark test to find out if the p40 pro can't keep up with the mate. The tests are divided into three phases: a performance test of the ram, a test of how the device is handling two-dimensional, graphics and an endurance test of how the device is handling 3d, graphics.

It gets pretty obvious that the 5 nanometer technology helps the mate 40 pro to win in terms of performance. The high results on the entity benchmark test lets a mate. Take home the point of this category camera the mate 40 pro uses a 3 rear camera system, an ultra-right with 20 megapixels, a wide with 50 megapixels and a telephoto camera with 12 megapixels. You can find the ultra-right, 30, megapixel front camera in the upper left corner of the screen and a pillbox cut out right next to the 3d depth version camera. It records 4k videos at a maximum of 60 frames.

It also has image stabilization for video, so much for the camera. Specs of the Huawei Mate 40 pro next up, the camera system of the p40 pro plus the p40 pro plus, has five main cameras: the auto ride with 40 megapixels, the ultravision, with 50 megapixels, two telephoto, with three and tenfold optical zoom and eight megapixels each and a 3d vision camera. You can find two front cameras in the upper left corner of the screen. The first one has a 32 megapixel resolution and the other one is an IR death version camera the Huawei p40 pro plus camera system was co-engineered with Lacey, and it's a beast when it comes to taking good pictures. It also records 4k videos at a maximum of 60 frames per second.

It also has image stabilization for video. Both phones have good camera systems, but which one is actually the better system. Let's take it to our camera test and, let's find out which one does a better job. Both phones take great pictures with lots of details, but the p40 pro plus has more accurate colors, with more contrast other than that we couldn't spot a big difference, the same with the front camera, not a huge difference. The mate 40 pro has a 5 volt optical and a 50 volt digital zoom feature.

The 40 pro plot, on the other hand, has a 3 volt and a 10 volt optical and a 100 volt digital zoom feature. But I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself, that on either phone all the way zoomed in it makes the picture. Look like a total pixel mass thanks to a resolution of 4k. The mate 40 pro produces first-class videos with 480 frames per second in 1080p mode and up to 3840 frames per second in 720p mode. Your slow motions are more than a go, but when it comes to slow motion, the worry p40 pro plus sets the tone with up to 960 frames in full HD and up to 7680 frames per second in HD other than that.

It creates great videos with a resolution of 4k, since we were really happy with the camera system of the p40 pro plus, it seems like not much has changed in the mate. It even somehow got worse in some parts in terms of video quality. The mate outperforms the p40 pro plus, but only if you don't look at stabilization, both are terrible at that. I have to say we expected more from the Huawei's camera system and the newer mate 40 pro. If you have difficulty to decide between these two phones, the camera should not be the deciding factor.

In conclusion, we call it a draw. Both phones take home. One point: if you want to see a more detailed camera test of the mate 40 pro, take a look at our camera performance test by clicking here, design the Huawei Mate 40 pro has a clean design with a matte finish. The three camera system is well positioned in a ring on the upper center on the back of the phone like most phones, the camera bump is pretty big, but since it is more centered, it tends to wobble less when it lies on a flat surface, the smartphone weighs 212 gram. It is roughly 16.29 centimeter long 7.55, centimeter wide and 0.91 centimeter deep. It has an USB connector and thanks to an ip68 rating, it is water and dust resistant.

The mate 40 pro uses a fingerprint scanner which is built into the screen and face recognition technology to unlock the phone. Both technologies were great. It somehow still looks like an iPod, but we get more and more used to it. Let's take another look at the p40 pro pluses design. The Huawei p40 pro plus has a clean design with a glossy finish.

The 5 camera system is well positioned in the upper left corner on the back of the phone. The camera bump is pretty big, and it sticks out a lot. The smartphone weighs 209 gram, it's roughly 15.82 centimeter long, 7.26, centimeter wide and 0.89 centimeter deep. It has an USB connector and thanks to an ip68 rating, it's water and dust resistant. The p40 pro plus uses face recognition, technology and a fingerprint scanner which is built into the screen to unlock the phone.

The face recognition, technology works perfect at daylight and also good on a week, light environment, so who's the winner in this category. In our opinion, the mate 40 pro wins this category and takes home the point it has a more high-end feel and look to it than its older sibling. Since the design has a different approach, it attracts more attention, so it is easy to spot that someone is having the newest Huawei. So what do you think? Which one should I have won? In your opinion? Let us know in the comments below we'd love, to hear what you think battery the Huawei p40 plus when fully charged has around 4 200 William hours. On the other hand, the mate 40 pro when fully charged has 4 400 William hours.

Huawei did not change a lot in terms of capacity. What they changed is the process technology, which already did a great job in terms of performance. Let's take them into our day-to-day usage test to find out which battery lasts longer. And yes, the clear runner in this case is a mate 40 pro. The new chip helps it to also win the battery life comparison in either case.

Both phones got through a full day with no issues. Conclusion, let's find out if the p40 pro plus can keep up with the newer mate 40 pro first categories was the display category which the mate 40 pro won, because it is overall slightly better in terms of performance Yuri made for the pro did a good job, the 5 nanometer process technology, let it outperform the p40 pro plus. We also decided that the mate looks better and has a cleaner design and in terms of the camera system, we couldn't decide both have their advantages and disadvantages, which is why we gave both a point, but we expected more from the mate in the battery life category. The make clearly won. It lasted long on our day-to-day usage test.

Overall, the mate 40 pro scored a point in each of our categories in this comparison other than the p40 plus, which only scored one point that makes you worry mate for the pro the better phone and probably the better choice, but as always when comparing Huawei's phone, we have to mention that, due to the not existing Google Play Store, it is really nerve-wracking to install apps that you usually use on your smartphone.
