IN DA NEWS! T-Mobile/Sprint new agreement! || 5G Showdown! || Samsung s20 || Dish low spending!

Hey YouTube, how you're doing welcome to in the news this is tech, extremists, let's go ahead and get started several things to run by you guys today. First off, let's see, let's get this out of the way here. We're gonna start with this fortune. com article: here's our wireless carriers rank on 5g speeds according to report, and let's go ahead and get started here. Yeah, this stuff. This video mobile subscribers will upgrade to one of the expensive new 5g compatible phones by find the expensive experience more than a little frustrating.

So one of the things that's happening right now is you know: Verizon has the millimeter wave right, so you know it's available in 31 cities, but it only covers 5% of the the area, or it's got 5% availability. Um T-Mobile, you know, has it nearly nationwide, it's about 50% of the know, time availability, but it speeds are very much like LTE about 43. You know 40 megabits per second, a TMT kind of the same makes a millimeter wave a know sprint more in the middle. You know with the mid-band, you know decent speeds with a decent amount of coverage, so let's go ahead and keep reading here. Download speeds vary widely, though they are typically faster than the average for 4G download and that's according to open signal.

All the 5g speeds we see are fast by us standards, but seeing a 5 g icon on the screen is no guarantee of 5g. So that's another thing: that's been happening to a lot of users have been reporting that you know. T-Mobile, for example, has been displaying the 5g I can't, even though they're not on line 71. So that's something to keep in mind. So, of course the other part of it is, you know, phones are hello expensive, right, $1,000 or more.

You know with the S 20s coming up the s20, the lower range one is not going to have millimeter wave until later, when Verizon releases of numerator weight version, the S 20 plus, will have both low Banned and millimeter wave and, of course, the old we'll have both as well, so I'd open signals. Report actual results depend on the type of 5g that each carrier has deployed in their networks. Verizon is currently relying on 5g and high and high frequency bands, or no one has really a bit of weight that carry vast amounts of data put on travel very far. So again, we're going to go back to this debate here that I keep having with people. I still believe that millimeter wave is the approach.

The right approach are just sticking to it or making it your principal deployment because, as we're seeing with T-Mobile in their uh, you know their low band 5g. It's not really performing all that much better than LTE. So I think that, even though it's a smaller coverage area, wherever you, whenever you are on millimeter wave, the speeds are pretty dramatic, and even if it's just not floating the outside traffic, it still helps some network overall much more than a skinny. You know or a thin slice of 5gb and deploy. So that's something else to keep in mind.

I know that some people have informed me. A tech check live channel has reported that you know T-Mobile's gonna release an update to the OnePlus 70 McLaren, that's gonna, allow it to access the lobe and 5g, and the excuse me the sick, the N 71, which is six hundred megahertz and the B 71, which is the LTE six hundred megahertz, so the fire keepers and the LT portion at the same time. So you get the full slice of spectrum. Why didn't they just use the full? The full slice for 5g or LT is beyond me, and now they're having to do things like this to make it work, but anyway, so maybe that'll help improve performance. So in the cortical goes on to say you know, Verizon provides the fastest average download speeds, but the smaller cover area coverage area to keep in mind that they do have it in 31 cities, 18, T and 30.

You know Verizon's expected to have it in 60 cities by the end of the year. T-Mobile does have millimeter wave as well, but it's a thinner slice I think it's only 100 to 200, megahertz, and so they're saying speeds of 243 versus you know, gigabit in a pub or a gigabit average with T-Mobile or around there, and it is available more but so Sprint is you, which is about to be apart by T-Mobile, is using a hybrid approach to 5g and nine cities. Its network average download speeds of 243 megabits per second was available, 40 per seven forty, seven percent of the time in downtown areas, but T-Mobile says it will reel reallocate per spectrum to be used and its 5g network. Once the five twenty-six billion dollar merger is completed. So I'm really happy to hear that I hope that T-Mobile follows through with that and let's see, let's see what happens with all that, but anyway, I'll leave a link down in the description area.

So you can read the full article and follow the links for the results yourself, so you can see the charts and other good stuff. So, let's move on to the next article- and this is from The Wall Street, Journal I'm, just going to go ahead and tell you what the article is about, and we'll talk about it so because I'm not going to subscribe just to read that article, you can get it for free somewhere else, but anyway, I'll put a link down for it anyway. So if the headline is a Sprint T-Mobile, revised merger terms, so according to Wall Street Journal debrief they've reached an agreement. So what that means is that so the virtual hasn't closed. So, let's, let's make that clear.

This doesn't mean the merger is closed. That means that they've said: okay, we're gonna, take less money for you to merge with us, or we're going to pay you less and spread. Do you agree with that? In sprint said no? Okay? Let's do it, so we'll keep it simple on that one not too much to talk about, but basically this is a done deal unless one of the pending court cases somehow holds up the deal, which is very, very, very unlikely, although 1% chance. So always keep that in mind. But this is a done deal you might as well just call Sprint, you know, T-Mobile, you know the new T-Mobile in conjunction or in combination with T-Mobile.

So there's that that's big news and let's go ahead and move on here. New, let's see so the other news article that I had read that I had talked to you guys about earlier, and this is from night reading. Calm you know, Verizon was making excuse me. T-Mobile was making this bigger the Obey Dish sense, it's not going to be worth uh, you know worth uh, you know and worth a and you know that we're making this big deal out of it. No Bowl was putting on Twitter how you know it's not ready, and you know Verizon skin.

It's like came out on the technology. That's not really going to be good for them, and so we're not going to use it in social sense. It's not going to be good for us. It's not gonna, be good for you either I, really don't like it. When T-Mobile does stuff like that, I've already talked to you guys about that in the previous video.

But let's go ahead and read the article itself, the headline first T-Mobile's, the SS warnings, all hot air claim, AT&T and Verizon, and quite frankly, if they're, evicting temporizing are painting on something, it's probably true, because they don't agree on much. But anyway, T-Mobile CTO raised some eyebrows this month when he declared that a fund that a keeper G technology isn't ready for prime time. Of course that's a novel right, but the other two us operators fighting to use the SS I strongly disagree with that assessment. Specifically AT&T stop networking executive chef, mike la fresh set of technology is performing well in lab tests and then AT&T is now testing it in select markets. That is the exact same thing we heard from T from Verizon I think that DSS is good to go.

There's no indication from you know the vendors and whatnot that it's not doing. Well so I'm gonna, say to say this is hot air from T-Mobile and AT&T and Verizon are correct. So again, I'll leave a link down in the description area for that very big news, because if a Verizon and AT&T do decide to use the SS a T-Mobile you don't have to, but if they do decide to use it, like I've said before it'll mean a smoother transition to the 5g. You know worlds right, so you'll get your you'll keep using your TV phone. It's going to perform the same and then later on, when you upgrade to your 5g phone, your s2000 or as twenty plus or whatever it's gonna, it's going to perform fine, and it's going to be able to use all the existing.

You know, bands- and you know especially next year when welcome releases. Our new model, which is gonna, have basically you know all the bands, and it's going to be able to take more advantage of this. So keep your eyes open from you know, eyes and ears open for this I'll go ahead and keep monitoring this for you guys, but to assess looks like it's an it's a go and T-Mobile you're wrong. So let's go ahead and move on here. So alright- and this is I'm- getting excited for this- because I can't wait to get that phone I'm, going to pre-order and yes, 20 ultra I, already signed up for the pre-order reservation, whatever the hell, you want to call it, but let's see so Samsung Galaxy s, 20s well, true, pre-orders, open tonight here are the best deals mm-hmm.

So this article is from droid the droid live. com, and I'm going to put a link down in the description area after longer than usual. Wait for new for the for new Samsung Galaxy pre-orders to open the day has arrived, and they're telling you that it's its coming. So here are the best deals. Samsung store best deal and I believe it, because what they're doing is they're, giving you $600 and up to $700 with some high-end phones, and then they're, giving you $200 credit to spend.

So if you kind of, if you can get the Samsung credit card or buy it directly from them, you should do this. This 1bm personally I'm getting unlocked one, especially after hearing reports, that to unlock one is gonna work with a TNT's, VoLTE or viewer voice over LTE, so I'm super excited. This is my route, but let's go ahead and show you some other ones. Best Buy is offering $850 off promo and 150 dollar discount, so pretty good as well, but they require you to be tied to a carrier to get that 150. So it's not as good as Samsung's, but it's still very good, and here what the carriers are doing, Verizon buy a Samsung.

You know any of them and get a thousand 50 towards another as 20. That's a very good, it's a bubble, but then you have to run a line so, so new and existing customers can save an additional 150 when you buy the newest, 20, plus 5 G, so it'll be given on 24 monthly bills. Existing customers can save up to 300 of you upgrade to a new galaxy is 20 and trading your existing smartphone and the Verizon unlimited plan and the stackable with number two Samsung is also offering up to 200 and Samsung credits. When you pre-order a galaxy, is 20 s, +, 5 g or is 20 ultra 5g and can redeem that. So that's that's perfect as well.

Finally, if you purchased the Samsung Galaxy s, 20 ultra 5g is 20 + or is 20 + 5 g on Verizon and have an unlimited plan. You get free six months subscription to catch a streaming game. Service. I, wouldn't use that anyway. So I'm going to go to the Samsung world, so T-Mobile is doing $500 off for the galaxy s, 25 5g, smartphones, after rebate, when they trade in an eligible device.

Customers can pick up one of the latest Samsung Galaxy S 25 G, smartphones at T-Mobile and get up to a thousand off a second one, similar to Verizon's. That means customers can get the s20 for free T-Mobile for business. Customers can also take advantage of these offers, plus more offers just for businesses plus your customers also get the $200 credit from Samsung and AT&T for little of time. Customers to sign up for AT&T limited extra, an 8-cent element of a lead or latest unlimited plans with our G + 5 g +, + service included, can get galaxy s 25, G, free and the galaxy is 20 + 5 g starting at 200. When you pour a line, oh that smells perfect, actually buy one, and I'm qualified installment plan and trade in an eligible smartphone.

So if I was going with a carrier, that's probably the one that I would do. Although wait a minute they're, not talking about the ultra I, want the ultra I'm going to be greedy on this one. So I'm going to go all-out. That would be enough for me, but if you just want a nice funny plus that is a good deal. Let's see what sprinters doing switch the spring and get galaxy s 25 G for zero dollars a month.

So if you just wanted as 20, that's a great deal: lease Samsung, Galaxy, S, 25 G as 25 plus 4G or the ultra, and get a second galaxy s, 25 G on the Swiss print flex days. Ah, that's a good deal as well, so yeah, they're, expensive, but everybody's running some great deals like I, said: I'll put a link down in the description, so you can see more details always good to go to the carrier pages. So you can read the fine print as well. So perfect deals. Man I'm really impressed with the deals, although not so much with the price.

So you take one for the other right. Let's see- and we already talked about this not that long ago, but you know if this is planning on skimping, and they're, not really going to do much of anything this year, just planning and stuff like that. So it comes as no surprise that this fierce Wireless that cob article is saying the headline reads: ? Wireless won't be a boom for summer companies and 2020. Surprise. So, let's go ahead and read a little of the article DISH Network's.

Fourth quarter, 2019 release earnings calls a call was time nicely following judge Victor materials decision last week in favor of the T-Mobile purchase of sprint. This president and CEO Eric Carlson, said on yesterday's earnings. Call the decision for us is a key step forward as we look to acquire boost, move from spread, Boost Mobile from Sprint, sorry and activate the MVNO agreement with t-mobile ?, we'll pay 1.4 billion for boost and then upgrade the MVNO on the new T-Mobile network also notice that there are still a few loose ends and have to be tied. So you know California Public Commission. We all know that and then the court case still I think that's no matter where it could be wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong. So basically, then I got to spend a lot of money. This here, I don't expect so the toilet. So here let's go ahead and read that part. The telecommunications stick.

Ecosystem is anxiously waiting for dish to start investing in his new Bungee network, but dish won't be spending billions in 2020, their CFO Paul, Orb?n, said or 2020 Wireless expenditures. Expenditures are currently expected to be between 250 million and 500 million. Okay, so they're not gonna, come running out of the gate. I wish they would but they're not. So how are companies sorry? This won't be a boom for you, but anyway, that's all the news that I have for today.

I really appreciate you guys watching and really keep an eye out on those galaxies as 20 deals. If you want one, but I really appreciate you guys watching hit like comment hit, the ring notification bell come back and see me soon. You all have a good one. This is tech extreme. Its extremists see you all later.
