I DROPPED my Pixel 3A XL Screen on 3rd Day of Use! [PSA:WATCH BEFORE BUYING!]

Hi guys, so I cracked, the screen of my brand-new Pixel 3a Excel that I got three days ago. Google has obviously cut corners, which gives you savings. This you will want to know about before buying the pixel, 3a or 3a Excel. Let's go and take a look. Okay, guys I got this three days ago for those of you who did not watch my unboxing go ahead and watch it, and you will see I'm one of those people pretty paranoid about breaking glass. If you watch that unboxing video you'll see that I put the case on from unboxing pretty much to the end of the video, because even though I have a lot of phones, I, don't like cracking screams now earlier today, I was washing.

My car and I was walking through the garage I. Actually he dropped it, but the thing was it wasn't. Even a huge drop. My garage ground is basically concrete and I dropped. It from only one foot basically dropped like this much right face down, and you could see it formed these cracks all right.

Now, the concrete in my house is super smooth. The screen did not make contact with the concrete I've, actually never seen a foam crack from one foot, all right other than my Galaxy s3 from I think what six seven years ago that I dropped in my driveway, but the concrete there is very rough, a lot of the little tiny rocks that are sticking out from the concrete hit the screen, and that's why I cracked it, but with this it cracked by the force of the drop one foot drop. So this is very concerning for those of you who bought this because I was like. Okay is this gorilla class boy I was looking at Bowen all Google, and then I was on 95 Google, and apparently they're. Using this thing called dragon trail glass, which is not standard, gorilla glass, it's not guru, Gus, two, three, four or five or whatever.

It's basically glass all right! Now, if you take a closer look here, all right, if you think a closer look here, you can really tell the glass itself is sort of like a regular glass, not like a real class, because gorilla glass when it cracks. It doesn't really crack like this I've, never actually seen gorilla glass crack from just fall on a flat surface. Gorilla glass will crack if you actually drop the actual screen. If the screen actually touches on the concrete all right, but in my case I had this nice and thick lip to protect it. Even then I guess the force was enough to make this crack.

I don't want to make this video too long. The point of the story Google is using very cheap glass for the screen. If you drop your phone in any way, you may easily crack the cheap glass that's used in here. All right, so I do highly recommend using a very thick case now, if you bought this phone because you want to save money, I would definitely use a thick case. I am pretty paranoid about my cases in my latest Galaxy S 10 I bought the armadillo Tech case, which is very protective.

I've dropped this phone like 10 times already and I, have not cracked it. Thanks to the big live right um, even my pixel three I've dropped this a bunch of times I'm using the Scipio case, and silicone material is actually very good for shock absorption, and you can see that lip covers the whole screen all right now. The problem really happened. Is this with this soft case which feels nice, but you can see the lips missing on this side, and also it's not a perfect material for absorbing shock and I. Believe that caused the glass to break, so I do recommend using you, don't have to use a super thick case, but I do recommend sticking with something silicone or something that absorbs, or you can just go with something like huge and protect your phone.

So when it first happened, I thought- maybe it was just I got unlucky, but upon really investigating I do believe. It is mainly caused by the cheap glass use on here, which is a dragon trail. Glass. I know you know what that is, but it looks very cheap, or I would definitely get a tempered glass over it, and you should be able to get an e tempered glass, but this is a very fragile phone, so yeah I would always use protection. It doesn't really affect my daily use, but I'm still very unhappy that it cracked so easily um, so yeah, just a PSA, if you get a pixel, 3 or 3/8, just know that it has one of the weakest glass on any smartphone.

That I have tried all right, I mean I'm, not blaming Google I mean it's a good thing. They cut the cost, but the consumers have to know that when you're buying this you're buying a smartphone with one of the weakest screens that I have ever used in my whole life, you know have a great day hit the thumbs up and share this video with other people who are thinking about buying a 3 a or 3 an Excel. So they know that up front the glasses week and use some protection have a great day and, as always, stay on Android.
