Huawei P40 Pro vs Mate 30 Pro vs P30 Pro | Which Huawei Phone is Best For Me?

Hello gorgeous peeps I'm Chris from to expert, and today it's a bit of a one-way love fest, because we've got three of the best while we're smartphones from the past year or so going to give them a full comparison here on the left. You've got the while we're p34 launched 12 months ago. He is sandwiched in the middle is the one we meet 30 port launched at the tail end at 2019 and then on the right. We've got a fresh new while with p40 pro now the p40 process, certainly in cheaper cost you a mighty 1,000 euros ouch but of course its release means that the P30 Pro and mates a pro I've been knocked down a little in costs. You might be tempted by one of those instead, so, let's see which one might be best for you and for the latest greatest tech. Please do poke subscribe, ending that notifications, Bell Cheers, let's start with design and the well with P30 Pro sports.

The most compact screen of the three with a 6.4 7 inch display that grew to a 6.5 3 inch for the mid 30 pro and then the p40 pro has got a 6.5 8 inch. But despite the increase in screen size, sectionalism cells are pretty much identical in terms of their dimensions. I think see the mate 30 Pro has got a bit of a more square finish compared with the rounded finish on the P30 Pro and the p40 pro, but it was the weight and the actual balance of them all on everything. They're pretty much identical. As you can see there, the Huawei at P, 30 port, had pretty skinny bezels to begin with, but they've been shrunk even further for the new P 44.

So now that screen pretty much fills up the entire front end of the phone and, as you can see there, the bezels are even skinnier at the sides of the p40 port cover with your P 30 pro as well side to split really wraps around the edge of the panel to flip these phones around to the back and as you can see, all three Huawei blows. Sports, a glass rear end with a nice shiny finish to them. That said, you can also pick up the fresh new while we're p40 pro in this lovely frosted glass finish. Instead, it's got lovely matte metallic style Sheen to if it's available in either gold or silver, and it's definitely a lot better at hiding, smudges and fingerprints compared with these shiny, more Falls here which design you like the most is, of course, entirely done from personal preferences. You might really like the circular camera shot see here on the mid 30 pro.

You might particularly not like this big fat camera shy, see on the fresh new P 40 Pro, that's for the actual colors and designs, everything the P30 Pro has this funky gradient style. Finisher was available a couple of really nice hues. The May 30 Pro is only really available in silver. They got a trace of blue white or black here for the shiny version of the p40 prosody feet. Does then I think they had the best last year to be honest on the durability front, all three definitely performed nicely on the back ends and no scratches or scuffs.

Even on this P30 Pro, which is now twelve month old, but they are quite vulnerable to scratching on the display, so I would definitely recommend picking up a screen protector which every one you choose and all three of these while we're fawns are ip68 water and dust resistant as well. So absolutely fine. If you want a smartphone to rock in the bath, the shower the swimming pool whatever. Now all three of these smartphones support and in display a fingerprint sensor, and it's nice and nippy and responsive on all three of them, I've had no trouble whatsoever. Apparently the p40 pause is 30%.

Larger sensor I've. Definitely slot higher up the screen compared with the other two, as also supposed to be 30% faster, but to be honest, I'm very lost. Any proper speed increase and all three smartphones also have fierce recognition as well works a treat in pretty much any conditions, no matter what kind of stubble you're busy grown because of the corvids lock in the situation. You've got live IR sensor, actually on the p40 pro as well. So what's particularly well in low light.

So it's a full HD plus panel on all three of these smartphones, all LEDs Tech. So, as you can imagine, nice and crisp and nice bright, punchy images as well, really nice and colorful. Of course, you've got full control over the actual color reproduction in the display settings and all three of these smartphones as well. So it starts off in vivid and mode by default we can punch down the visuals a bit, get some more natural hues if you're really not a fan of those really poppy colors. So your media fans have to get a kick out of all three, even though there's no quad HD plus resolution on there, you can put it around with the resolution settings.

Everything on there. You've got smart resolution and all three, so they'll only bump up is that full HD + res when absolutely necessary and Laura again to save a bit of energy when not necessary. The big advantage of the p40 pro over the other two is the fact you can also bump up the screen. Refresh rate from the standard 60 Hertz up to 90 Hertz gives a really nice silky, smooth experience where you're just flipping around the UI and working in supported apps. Unfortunately, all three of these for the support, a mono speaker output rather than a proper stereo speaker output, not great when you're playing games like pop G or even just kicking back with a movie, or something like that.

So as you can see, if you've seen a bit of video just muffle that speaker and the output is very, very muffled indeed, and the reason for that is that, while ways replace the earpiece speaker within display of vibration text, whenever you're on a call, the audio is transmitted to your ear by girl vibrations. Instead, no headphone jacks are there on any of these smartphones, so you will have to use a bit type C headphones, which are at least bundled in the box of all three. So that's something otherwise good bit. Bluetooth I've had no problem with Bluetooth connectivity and all three of these blowers. The mid-late was a bit of an odd B style compared with the P30 Pro and a p40 port.

As far as volume goes long, you don't actually get a volume rocker. What you have to do is just double tap the side and then that calls up the volume controls, like so thankfully seems to work a charm, so no worries okay. So now let's talk about software and that's where things start to get slightly complicated because you see all three of these smartphones are running the latest androids 10 with. While we want a motion, UI version 10 slapped on top in the case of the one, with P 40 ports to the latest version, 10.1 well check out my tips and tricks guy, which would be gone, live in a couple of days after this video. If you want to see more about what actual updates you get in there, however, the world with P 30 port, because it came out a year ago that was before the whole, while we America spat, really kicked off.

That means you've still got all the Google services on there, including a bit of Play Store for download and fresh apps. You got full support of all the Google apps like Google Chrome YouTube. All that kind of shenanigans, unfortunately, the mid 30 pro and the p40 poor, then came out after all of it kicked off big stars. That means no longer any Google services on there. You have to use the while we app gallery if you want to download apps otherwise you've also got third-party efforts like the Amazon App Store, which you can download as well, which has a good little selection on there too, and if used while we its form quarto, you can get all of your old apps onto your new smartphone and some of those Google apps do actually still work.

So, for instance, chrome still works, absolutely fine here on the mid 30 people and the p40 pulled the likes of Google. Maps I've had no problems with that either, but, unfortunately, the likes Netflix won't work because it's not player certified and certain other apps as well. Spotify had some issues with so just bear in mind. If you do go for one of the more recent while we're smartphones you'll, either have to do some fiddle around in the background to get some Google stuff on there. Otherwise, of course, you've got ear peak, ear files which you can download as well, but then that's always a little of risky business and definitely be safe kitties, but as for the Android features, they're all basically standard on all three of these smartphones, so you'll find that they've all got friends is the latest dark mode.

You've got the full gesture navigation support and all that shenanigans I really do like a motion. UI 10 I find it's a great experience. Lots of good features in their score again go check out my tips and tricks guides for all three of these smartphones to see so my best, my most favorite bits you'll find packed away in there. So now, let's have a gander at the performance in all three of these blows bought a Huawei Kiran chipset back by eight gigs of ram. Of course, the kids, the last year's P30 Pro, is the all that while we carry 980 chipset, whereas these bad boys spot the fresh new hero, 990, also more than happy with a performance here on the current nine early, it's super, super nippy for your everyday shenanigans.

Please, like some pub G mobile with a super fresh frame rate as well as helps along by the GPU turbo feature. The p40 port does feel slicker and faster and smoother compared with the other tube. That's purely because the ninety Hertz refresh rate, which really makes a difference when you're skimming about the place. You do actually have a 5g modem built into that Karin 990 chipset as standard as well. Unfortunately, the standard mid 30 Pro does not support 5g.

This is a 4G model. You can get 5g model, but I believe it's in very select regions so far, I, don't think I'd to come to the UK just yet as the p40 poor that comes with 5g as a default option, as you can see, they turn off and on in the notification settings so good bit of future-proof in there, and you've also got full Wi-Fi six support here on the p40 pro as well so great use again once that starts properly rolling out nice and easy on the storage front, 256 gigs of space on all three of these smartphones, and they do support, while with proprietary nm cards as well. If you do want to expand deathly impressed by the battery life on all three of these smartphones as well, the Huawei it meets 34 spots, the biggest battery and the bunch is 4500 William compared with the 4200 William stuffed inside the p-series smartphones, but all three of them will easily give you all day life, even with really intensive use, even with all of those power features. Bumped up to max offers. The maximum resolution maximum screen refresh here on the p40 pro suddenly seems to be helped along by that energy, efficient, emotion, UI software, that's for sure.

As far as the recharging goes well, you've got a fast charging on all three of these smartphones, nice bit of 41 action, and you've got wireless charging support on all three of these pros as well. It's slightly quicker here on these two of fresher phones on its 27. What on the mid and the p40 Pro was the p30 port, it's 15 watts, but of course, to take advantage of that 27 watt wireless charging. You will need a compatible charger from good old Huawei. So, let's finish up with a look in that camera tech and, of course all three of these smartphones feature a very different camera array.

Now you got a 40 megapixel primary lens on both the p30 put on the Mir.30 pull that got bumped up to 50 megapixels here on the p40 port and the pixels in the center are enlarged as well, so in suck up more light, as you can see, they hopefully make us a little more color detail. Coming through here on the p40 Pro, all three of these have Huawei's master AI mode, which you can enable or disable with a quick tap this little icon here, that's basically just a scene recognition mode, which is, of course, AI led here on the p40 pro you've also got the fresh new moving pictures mode as well. Well, that does that we've slipped a video every time that you capture a photo. This, of course, can bring your gallery to life as you're flipping through, and it's also very handy when you're editing shots as well, especially of moving subjects like hyperactive children, as I'm aging select from a number of different frames to get the best possible shot so far than p40 product LI seems to be better compared with the other two for your lower light shots, and certainly some HDR snaps have come out a little better as well, because you've got the full range of standard modes as well, including good old pro mode. So you can actually play around with the shutter speed white balance.

All that shenanigans to your heart's content got full roll support and everything as well and here on the p40 pro you can choose where to shoot in that maximum 50 megapixel resolution or not, and all the other modes you'd expect to find on these smartphones are present and correct. Son likes the portrait mode to get nice bit of pocket action. In the background you got your night modes for a long exposure shot that takes lots of different exposure, shots and then blends them together for a nice overall balanced finish and, as you can see, think clear on the ISO level and shutter speed for that one, and if we dive along into more you've, got a plethora of other little bonus features, most of which I honestly don't even bother to touch all three of these. While we're smartphones have an ultra wide-angle lens, you can get a nice big, sweeping view of whatever you're pointing the camera at, and you've also got a telephoto option on all three as well, but it's more powerful on the p-series smartphone to get five times optical zoom ten times hybrid, whereas the mid 34 you've. Only got three times optical zoom five times hybrids becomes the video smart stuff for the mid 30 pro and the p40 port, or a step-up compared with you order.

P 30 poor can't shoot at 4k 60fps on the one-year-old model, whereas you've got that option here, meet 30 people and the p40 brought as well great stuff, and certainly you'll all like video situations as well. The p40 problem is that you probably definitely impress a lot more than the previous generation, and we switch around those front-facing cameras. It's a 32 megapixel effort on all three of these bad boys. Of course, you get slightly better selfies with more recent. Smartphones seem to be slightly better on the HDR front and everything as well, but yeah you've got the usual portrait effects.

You can shoot a nice bit in night, more action, and so you got all your typical features on there and, of course you can beautify yourself if you want I, obviously don't need that because I'm absolutely freaking stunning, as it is especially thanks to good old kroner having to look after a hyperactive foyer. All now all the schools are closed. Well, also working full-time I said there. You have it. That, in a nutshell, is how last year's, while we're p30 poor stacks up to the mid-favorite and the fresh new while we're p40 poor, so which one are you most tempted by Daniel.

Save yourself ability cash jump into a discounted, P 30 April. Are you going to go balls to the wall, get yourself a 1000 euro p40 bra with all those fresh new updates, be gritty.
