How to Replace the Battery on a iPhone XR

Hey there everyone will be doing great today, alright, so in this video I'm going to be showing you how to take apart to replace the battery on your iPhone.10 are so here we have. The iPhone, 10 are, and I'm going to be showing you how to replace the battery on it. So, first off, let's go over the tools and parts we're gonna use for this repair. So here are the tools we'll be using, so we'll be using a suction cup, a pantalone screwdriver, a small Phillips head screwdriver, a TRI tip, screwdriver, a plastic prying tool, a metal prying tool, and we're going to have a link down below in the description to all the parts and tools used for this repair. So, first off, let's go ahead and shut the phone off once the phone is powered off. We're going to go ahead and give it some heat here around the edges, where you could do that with a hairdryer or a heat gun consistently move around the sides here, because it does have some adhesive holding the screen down to the frame of the phone.

You can also do that with a hot plate, which is what I prefer to use, so I set it to about 110 degrees, Celsius and I. Leave it on there for about a minute or two for it to get hot enough, since the phone will be hot, I will be using some rubber gloves to protect my hands from getting burned so go ahead and grab the phone once it's hot enough touch it until it's hot enough to the touch. So let's go ahead and remove the two pantalone screws at the bottom of the phone first, and then we're going to use the help of a suction cup. We're going to place it towards the bottom of the phone, where the charger port is and pull up on the phone and gently on the screen assembly. Once you see a slight opening, we're going to be using the help of a thin, solid prying tool like this metal pry tool right here to wedge in between the frame and the plastic screen frame just to get in there just a little to pull up on the screen gently.

So once you wedge it in there, you can also use the help of another prying tool and once you're able to wedge the prying tool gently in there we're going to go ahead and go around entire LCD frame of the phone removing all the adhesive. We can use the help of another prying tool, remove the suction cup once you no longer need it, and let's go down the side here of the phone with one of the prying tools, removing all the adhesive, then we're going to go down the other side as well, slowly and carefully. Take your time so that you don't break your screen, especially if it's not broken. Once you have most of the adhesive removed, you can kind of pull up on the screen, and you'll notice. The Flex cables here that connected to the screen assembly, we're going to wiggle the screen around here from the top portion side to side to release the adhesive at the top and then pull up on it gently and the rest of the adhesive on the top will remove, and there is your iPhone 10 are open, though so next up with the TRI tip screwdriver we're going to need to remove three small TRI tip screws, they're going to be under the Flex cables, though so we're going to need to lift the screen gently make sure you don't do it too hard so that you don't rip the cables and remove d3 TRI tip screws.

Once the three screws are removed, we can go ahead and lift the bracket and get that out of the way, then, with a plastic pry tool. Let's go ahead and disconnect this small flex cable right here, which is for the battery, so that we can remove any electricity flowing through the phone next up. We're gonna need to give these phone heat once again with their hair dryer heat gun on the back, though, or you can also set it on the hot plate once again, like I prefer to do for a minute or two, and this is to loosen up the adhesive holding the battery down to the frame. So once it's hot enough go ahead and get your phone, and we're going to be using a plastic pry tool to wedge under the battery and gently and slowly pull up on it, and it will release the adhesive. That's holding it down, be very careful as there will be flex cables under the battery for the volume buttons and the wireless charger continue pulling up on it gently, and then you can remove it by pulling it with your hands.

Hold the adhesive down with your other hand, and there you go. The battery will come out completely so also make sure to try and reuse the adhesive so that when you place the battery back on or your new battery, it will stay stuck to the frame of the phone. So go ahead and make sure the adhesive is on there properly, and this is the battery of your iPhone 10. Our we're going to have a link down below in the description where you can get a replacement battery for your phone. So once you're ready with your new battery, go ahead and position it on there correctly and the battery slot and make sure the flex cable is positioned properly as well, so that you can press down and connect it give the battery some pressure onto the frame of the phone so that it glues back on and then once we're ready we're going to go ahead and position.

The brackets back on and place the three tried tip screws back onto the bracket and don't forget to be extra careful when moving around the screen, so that the Flex cables don't break alright. So once you have all the screws back in it's going to put position the screen correctly back on, let's position, the top first make sure it's in there properly, and then we can press on the sides here, and it will close and then let's go ahead and press down on this side as well and then just make sure that all of these sides are flush in the frame of the phone, and then we can go ahead and place the two bottom pantalone screws back in and tighten them up, and we are all set: let's go ahead and turn the phone on, and we are done. So that is how you replace the battery on your Apple iPhone 10 are, so I really hope you enjoyed that video. If you did go ahead, and please give it a like that, is it for this video I will see you guys around in the next one have a great day: peace.
