GoPro Hero 9 Black VS iPhone 11 Camera Comparison!

What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome back for this camera comparison. We have the brand new GoPro hero, 9, black and, of course, the highly popular iPhone 11. So we're going to split this video in three sections. For the first section, we're going to check out which device has a better internal microphone. The second section we're going to check out and see which device has better image stabilization and, lastly, which device has better video quality and with that being said, I think we should start by checking out some sample recordings, so you can see which device has the best internal microphone. So, let's check all those recordings, and I will be right back all right.

This is our first audio test between the GoPro hero, 9, black and, of course, the iPhone 11. I have quite a spectacular view behind me, as you can probably see here, and here you can see, Alex and Laura right behind me so um for this recording I'm doing 4k at 30 frames per second, and I'm also filming with the front-facing camera on the iPhone 11, the GoPro, nine, I'm obviously filming with the only lens that we have available. So this is how an audio recording from these two devices would sound like under this condition. So it is a bit windy, but either than that, you shouldn't hear anything aside, um from my voice. We are moving on to another quick audio test between the GoPro hero, 9, black and, of course, the iPhone 11.

For this recording I'm doing 4k 30 frames per second, but I'm using the ultra-wide lens on the back of the iPhone 11. So for the previous um video sample that you've seen, I was using the front lens on the iPhone 11. Well for this one, I'm using um the back um ultrawide lens so yeah. This is how recording uh would sound like in 4k at 30 frames per second, and there is really no other noise. Aside from my voice.

There was a bit of wind earlier, but now it's super quiet see. So this is how an audio recording from the GoPro hero, 9 black and the iPhone 11, would sound like under these conditions and for our last audio test between the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero 9 black. I am talking behind the two devices, so I'm using the main lens on the iPhone 11 and the only lens on the GoPro hero 9 black. Basically, there is no wind, but you may hear some traffic aside from my voice and for this recording I'm doing 4k at 30 frames per second, so yeah. This whole recording would sound from these two devices under these conditions, if you're talking behind them all right- and I am back so after watching those recordings- I feel that the GoPro 9 has the better sound from the internal microphone.

The sound is a bit deeper and the GoPro 9 seems to cancel the wind noise a bit better, just a bit better. But overall I do prefer the sound from the GoPro 9. But what do you guys think? Do you like the sound from the GoPro or the iPhone? Definitely leave a comment down below and let me know so for all future videos that you're going to be seeing. I'm just going to use the sound from the GoPro nine. So next I think we should check out some sample recordings, so you can see how the image stabilization works on the GoPro, 9 and, of course, the iPhone 11.

So, let's check out those recordings- and I will be right back for our next sample recording between the iPhone 11, the GoPro 9. I am um using the main lens on the iPhone 11 and recording in 4k at 30 frames per second with both devices and, of course, I'm climbing these um stairs right here, and I'll try to climb as fast as possible. So you can see how the stabilization would look like. So this how the image stabilization looks um between the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero 9 black, all right. We have another quick video test, so we can check out and see which device has better image stabilization so for this recording I'm doing 4k at 30 frames per second and um, I'm using the main lens on the iPhone 11.

The image stabilization on the GoPro hero, 9 black is set to boost, so I'm also going to run a bit. So you can see how um this would look so yeah. This is how the image stabilization on the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero, 9 black, would look like if you're walking, fairly fast and recording in 4k at 30 frames per second for our next IME stabilization test between the GoPro hero, 9 black and the iPhone 11, I'm using the ultra-wide lens um on the back of the iPhone 11 and the maximum level of image stabilization on the GoPro 9, which is called boost. So this how recording in 4k 30 frames per second would look like if you are walking all right. This is a quick test between the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero 9 black, so you can see which device has better image stabilization for this recording I'm doing 4k at 30 frames per second, and, of course, at this resolution, both devices have image stabilization.

So I'm going to start running for a bit, I'm using the main lens on the iPhone 11 just to get an idea how um this would look if um you're running also the view is pretty stunning um around here, so I'm going to stop here for a bit we'll pan left slowly and back right. So this is how the image stabilization would look like on the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero, 9 black, if you're recording in 4k at 30 frames per second, and I'm using the main lens on the iPhone 11. And for one of our last image, stabilization tests, um I'm doing 4k at 60 frames per second once again, but um for this recording I'm using the ultra white lens on the back of the iPhone 11. , if you're recording at 4k at 60 frames per second, the GoPro hero, 9 black has the boost image. Stabilization available, which is basically the last uh or the best level of image stabilization.

So this all the image stabilization would look like good ultra white lens on the iPhone 11 and recording in 4k at 60 frames per second, and I am back once again. So after watching those recordings, I feel that there is really no comparison for IMF stabilization between the GoPro 9 and, of course, the iPhone 11. Now the iPhone 11 does pretty good for a smartphone, but of course, if you are going to do something crazy, if you are going to run, if you are going to bike, the GoPro 9 will definitely do better for IMF stabilization, and I believe that most of you will actually agree with me not to mention the image in some of those recordings from the iPhone 11 almost seems a bit distorted because of the image stabilization but um. Once again. Let me know in the comments down below what you guys think.

So. Next we are going to watch a few more videos um, so you can see which device has the better um video quality. So, let's check out those recordings, and I will be right back- we are moving on to another quick recording between the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero 9 black, for this recording I'm doing 4k at 30 frames per second um, and I'm using the main lens um on the iPhone 11. So we're just going to walk up to here. I'm going to stop here.

This is uh lake Lewis, just in case you're wondering we'll pan left slowly and up and back right, so yeah. This is how recording in 4k at 30 frames per second would look between um, the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero 9 black for our next recording, I'm recording in 4k at 30 frames per second between the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero 9 black, for this recording I'm using the main lens on the iPhone 11 and recording in the linear mode, with the GoPro hero 9 black, for this recording, I'm also using the booster level of image stabilization on the GoPro 9. So this, how recording in 4k at 30 frames per second would look between these two devices, and this is one of our last recordings between the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero 9 black, for this recording I'm doing 4k at 60 frames per second, and I'm also using the ultra-wide lens um on the iPhone 11. The GoPro hero, 9 black, is set to the maximum level of image stabilization, which is boost just in case you're wondering this recording is done somewhere fairly close to lake Louise. I believe that's called the t house um that you're seeing there so yeah.

This is how recording in 4k at 60 frames per second between these two devices would look like, and we're moving on to another quick recording between the GoPro hero, 9 and, of course, the iPhone 11 for this recording. I am using the ultrawide lens on the iPhone 11, but I am recording in 1080p at 30 frames per second, so we're going to stop here, we'll pan left and up slowly, and I'll keep going, and then we'll go back right and keep walking straight for a bit. So this is how 1080p recording between the GoPro 9 and the iPhone 11 would look like under these conditions for this test. I am doing 4k at 30 frames per second between the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero 9 black, but I'm using the ultra-wide lens on the iPhone 11. I'm going to stop here, so the stabilization is set to boost on the GoPro hero, 9 um black.

That is basically the maximum level of image stabilization and I might as well walk a bit straight, so you can see how the stabilization will do if you're, using the ultra-wide lens on the iPhone 11 from what I'm seeing here, um. Of course the stabilization is much better on the GoPro 9. , so yeah. This is how a recording between the iPhone 11 and the GoPro hero, 9 black, would look like in 4k at 30 frames per second all right, and I'm back once again. So after watching those recordings, I personally feel that I prefer the recordings done by the GoPro 9.

Now the recordings from the iPhone 11 do look a bit brighter and the iPhone 11 does seem to handle the highlights in those recordings a bit better, because in some situations you can't exactly see the clouds in the sky for the recordings done by the GoPro 9. So in some situations the iPhone 11 does better. But overall, for those recordings that I have done, I feel that the GoPro did a better job. The colors are a bit more saturated, and it made those videos look a bit better, a bit more unique, I would say they're also a bit more contrast. So overall, I think I prefer the video quality from the GoPro 9.

But what do you guys think? Do you like the GoPro 9 or the iPhone 11? I mean they're both doing perfect for video recordings, and I guess it comes down to your personal preference. Next, looking at some pictures, some once again, the GoPro 9 does seem to do perfect in some, not some of those pictures. Of course, if you're using the ultra-wide lens on the iPhone 11, you can get some perfect. Looking pictures as well but um if you're on the go, I feel that the GoPro 9 will do pretty good for those um pictures as well and, of course, all the pictures that you've just seen or taken um by the iPhone 11 and the GoPro 9, and I haven't changed anything for those pictures. So what do you guys think about the GoPro 9 and iPhone 11, which one do you prefer for videos and pictures overall, I feel that the GoPro 9 did perfect against the iPhone um 11.

, alright guys. Hopefully you enjoyed this video if you did like it, don't forget to press that like button, don't forget to subscribe, and I will see you guys in the next one thanks for watching.
