Hey everybody welcome back to my project 13 thanks for coming on by and checking out this vid appreciate your time and your support battery life yeah. I finally get a moment to uh talk about battery life. On my Google Pixel 5. , it's been great. It's going to get the job done and I really didn't have any doubt that it wouldn't, and for many of you that have been around for quite a while here on TMI project 13, you know what I do. Okay, you know what I don't do, I'm not a gamer.

Now I listen to a lot of music. I watch a lot of videos watch a lot of movies. All my smartphones go through a reviewing process that entails a lot, whether it's taking lots of pictures shooting lots of video to share with all of you again watching a lot of movies videos. Listening a lot of music there's a lot of homework that I do on my smartphones, the Google Pixel 5 gets no break from everything that I throw at it, and a lot of you know that I create all my content on all of my smartphones. All of them I have power director.

I have in shot and a few more other apps that well, I can let you know down below in the comment section. Just ask, and I'll share that information with you but yeah. All my videos that you have watched or are going to watch have all been created on many smartphones that I've had here over the years the last five years the Google Pixel 5. Well, it goes through that same process, so yeah, I don't use a PC. I don't use a laptop or a tablet, and I enjoy that process because it gives me a chance to show you what any smartphone that I review can do.

I use my smartphones as phones, so phone calls going out coming in a lot of that, a lot of that going on every day, texting going out coming in. So, as far as like connectivity, where I live here in Portland Oregon uh, my carrier T-Mobile, I get great connectivity so whether I'm utilizing um Wi-Fi in the home or when I'm out and about using my data uh, I'm I'm constantly doing something through the reviewing process. That's a little heavier than what I typically do when I'm well done with the reviewing process. But even after that there are still some pretty heavy days, and so we're gonna look at some screenshots, and then we'll go from there. I'm going to try to go through this part of the video uh, pretty quick.

So if there's something that just doesn't seem right, you're, not understanding me ask below down in the comments section, and I'll do my best to answer whatever it is that you're asking uh so yeah throw those questions out there uh. If you have a question that doesn't even pertain to what we're talking about here battery life on my Google Pixel 5, ask away, and I'll do my best to answer that as well. All right, let's get to those screenshots all right, fingerprint reader bam. We're in, and we're going to go to right here. Is that right, yep right here? Okay! So now I don't know what day this was.

These are not in order. This is my sixth day of having this device and I have five screenshots and I do have the graph that goes with the screenshot as well. So at the bottom here you can see nine hours. Four minutes had eight percent battery juice left that day, there's the graph- and it shows when I am plugged to when I took the screenshot and decided to plug in- and that was 16 hours between here and there. Okay 16 hours, 8 battery juice, left there nine hours four minute screen on time this day, five percent, and we got seven hours, nine minutes down there and there's the graph I unplugged 13 hours ago from here to there when I took the screenshot and I plugged in again, okay, now this day, 45 percent is where I'm at now.

I was just doing my thing throughout the day and I decided to check where I was at with battery life and well it was 45. But what really got my attention right down here? 8 hours, 46 minutes with 45 battery juice left in my Google Pixel 5. , that's crazy! Now I didn't check it the rest of the day. I was just amazed by what I was seeing there. So I don't know what I actually would have gotten taken it down to ten percent five percent, whatever I'm sure it would have been just amazing, but that's where I was at 45 and that was with uh again.

Let me go back here: eight hours, 46 minutes, okay. So it's saying over here that I have 11 hours left now. I wouldn't have gotten that, but still that's just crazy, just crazy this day, well 12 6 hours, 11 minutes and there's the graph okay, a little close up on that and uh yeah, so um here, 34 again, one of those days when I just took the screenshot. When I looked at it- and I said whoa I'm at 34 and uh, I got 10 hours and three minutes- that's crazy! That's super crazy, okay and there's the graph okay. So obviously whatever I was doing, you know pixel launcher three hours.24 minutes YouTube one hour.12 minutes, and you know I there's messaging, there's chrome there's twitter, so you put all that time together and everything that I was doing and even when it was sitting down and um there was nothing going on the screen might have been on for a little. I usually have it set to.

I think it's uh, let's see where, where I have the screen set at as far as uh display and uh screen timeout after 30 minutes. So that's where I have that and I do pretty much always have. The brightness turned up like that. Okay- and I have it set to didn't, show you this either. Let's see automatically raises the refresh rate from 60 to 90 hertz for some content increases' battery usage.

That's turned on to 90 hertz, which is amazing. So that's what I have that's, what I've gotten sure it seems kind of crazy, a couple of those screenshots uh with the percentage of battery life that was still left the juice that was still there, but it is what it is.
