Google Pixel 3 XL vs iPhone Xs Max - Speedtest Comparison

Hey guys and gals Danny Boy here and today, I have the Google Pixel 3 XL and the iPhone 10s Max, and what I want to talk about in this video is the speeds of these phones, how they compare against one another. You know we're here in 2020 now these are 2018 flagship devices, but they can be had for a pretty good price these days. So you know I thought we would compare them and see how they stack against each other, even here now and 2020, okay, so Google Pixel 3xl. What we're dealing with here is a Snapdragon 805 processor. Still a perfect processor I mean the current one is the 865, so we had the 855, then the 845, but once we got to about the 8:35 series, that's when it kind of got fast. At least it seemed to me so 845 here, four gigabytes of RAM.

So a little you know not your six or eight gigs of RAM. You got four here, but I think with Google's set up here with their stock Android pretty much stock. I think that the four gigs is plenty enough. Okay over here on the iPhone 10s max. What we're dealing with here is apples, a 12 Bionic chip and again at least it seems to me once Apple got to the 1/12 chip.

It seemed like things really took off and speed. Okay I'm sure the a13, which is the current one, is obviously better, but the a12 it's definitely a good chip. As a matter of fact, they just released the iPad Pro with a version of the age 12 chips. That's how good that chip is okay. So here we also have four gigabytes of RAM.

Now we know with iOS that Ram isn't kind of the same thing when talking Android and iOS requires lesser I am to get the same amount of stuff or performance done if that makes any sense. So four gigs of RAM on an iPhone, it's probably more equivalent to six gigs of RAM on an Android phone okay. So four gigs here is perfect, okay, so as far as actually operating the phones, you know if we kind of just go through here and navigate the OS I mean it's pretty fast. Here. No complaints on the snapdragon 845 definitely feels plenty fast, okay, no issues with navigation I.

So looking at the iPhone with its eighty twelve chips, again, definitely fast I wouldn't say it feels quite as fast as the pixel. Okay, but definitely pretty close. It just doesn't quite have the buttery smoothness that we see here and I. Don't think that's due to the speed on paper. It's just the feel of it and that's kind of interesting because we do have a hundred and twenty Hertz touch sensitivity on this phone.

Furthermore, it's not a hundred and twenty Hertz display, but it does have that extra carefulness to the touch, but again it just doesn't feel quite as fast, quite as buttery smooth, but it's close okay. So with that all in mind what I want to do here? It's kind of lunch, some basic apps I, don't want to go to and depth here, but just kind of basic comparison here, kind of launch some apps and see where these phones kind of rank against one another. Now I will make sure that all apps are closed. As you can see. All apps are closed.

Okay, so let's go ahead and get launched in here. Okay, I'll start off with Firefox focus. Definitely the pixel there. Okay, now, let's go with the or is it white noise app well that had some type of menu on it. So, let's redo that on just for fairness, okay up, I phone one! In that case I now, let's do Wikipedia I, think here, pixel I, think on that one: okay, let's go with the oh! Let's see, let's go with the dictionary yeah, okay MMM, maybe a slight advantage to the iPhone.

Okay, let's see what kind of do the app store versus the Play Store and now this is obviously not or is it I already have it out. This is obviously not the same app, but it kind of just gives you an idea of how they're optimized definitely Google. Let's see, let's do the Bible app okay, I, think that was the iPhone that was pretty close. Okay, so, as you can see here, we're kind of going back and forth. It just is what it is.

It's kind of a back and forth here now, let's check the RAM, and this is to be expected because remember these are the 2018 flagship devices. Okay might have got a refresh here, not sure on that. Okay, that look good, no refresh, okay, very good, very good. So you can kind of see here guys. I mean very good, so I'm really impressed here with the RAM performance of these phones.

I mean yes, you could see they're. Both ramps held up about equally the same, and you know going back to what I was saying these are you know this phone came out in September of 18 this one in November of 18, so they're supposed to be competitors they're supposed to be. You know going against each other, so we can expect the performance I think to be kind of neck-and-neck and that's what we're seeing here, but you know for me personally, I think I would prefer the feeling of the pixel 3xl for sure it just feels a little faster when using the phone and daily usage just navigating and whatnot, but as we could see, there were about equal launching apps, and you know about equal and ram. So two great phones here you can't go wrong with either one just excellent offerings from Google and Apple. Well, guys I hope you enjoyed this speed test comparison of the Google Pixel 3 XL and the iPhone 10s max.

As always, if you're enjoying my videos be sure to subscribe to my channel and, of course, hitting that thumbs up button helps as well, but for now guys peace out.
