Galaxy Note 9 vs Galaxy Note 10 Plus!

So, what is up guys Nick here, helping you to master your technology and welcome back to the channel Galaxy Note: 9 vs, Galaxy, Note, 10.1 the, oh, but I wanted to wait on the Galaxy Note 10 to see I felt about it after the hype. I didn't want to just make the video right away, because I really kept coming back to the Galaxy Note 9 time and time again last year, and it probably was my favorite phone throughout the last cycle of smartphones, whereas this year I'm not so sure, but we'll see how the Galaxy Note templates does in comparison here now. Keep in mind that you can snag yourself, a Galaxy, Note, 9 smartphone right now for a pretty low price of around 500 bucks. Depending on where you look. So this phone has drastically come down from its thousand-dollar to over $1100 price. The note 10 plus is at a premium price at over a thousand bucks, but depending on where you look, you might be able to get at $9.99, maybe $8.99. If you could find a perfect deal, but still significantly more than the note 9 and probably around 2 times the price, all right guys, so, let's begin with the body the build in the design.

So what really drew me into the note 10 plus in the first place, was the design now the aura glows beautiful, but that was not the real indicator. I just think, there's a much better, looking smartphone, especially that vertical camera versus the horizontal camera. The note 9 to me just was never the best looking phone. It was the best practical phone the best useful tool, but I don't think it was the best in terms of the looks department and Samsung stretching the bezels here for the note, 10, plus, and also making this foam thinner lighter. Well, you could say shinier and also just it just looks sleeker overall than the Galaxy Note 9 now in terms of their build quality, they're not too much different.

Both of them do you have aluminum. However, there are a little shinier aluminum sides on the Galaxy Note templates. You can see right there just a little shinier for that foam, but they're both aluminum, both glass back, so they will crack if you drop them and overall, the build seems to be pretty on both of these devices. One thing I should say, though, is that the 6.8-inch screen size increase on the note 10 plus was so much larger. That sometimes I feel, like the note, 9 just felt a lot more comfortable to reach the top of the screen.

This phone is really quite a stretch and I got pretty big hands, so this screen might be pushing the limits of where I think smartphones should go, maybe no further than this okay, so when it comes to displays, both of them are plenty large. The Galaxy Note 9 is significantly smaller, though I'm not significant, but it feels so like a 6.4 more compact than this one. Actually, the smaller note 10 is closer to the note 9 in screen size, but both of these get plenty bright. The note 10 plus definitely has a little brighter in sunlight, but I mean it's not like you couldn't see the note.9, you could definitely see that in sunlight. Now, if we go into settings here, and you're wondering why is that screen? Look so yellow on the Galaxy Note, 2, n plus that's because I have it in natural mode if I tweak it over to vivid, throw it down to a cooler display.

You'll see it's a lot closer to that of the Galaxy Note 9, which air is on the cooler side. Now one thing I will say about the note 9 is that the note 9 actually had a more vibrant display. The dynamic amulet is pushing more accuracy over here on this phone, so this phone is not so over saturated. In the Galaxy Note, 2 n plus, whereas if you throw adaptive mode onto the Galaxy Note 9, it's a pretty saturated like really saturated, vibrant, looking display. Now, if you go down to AMOLED photo or basic, you can get more into that natural territory of the note 10 plus, so they both do have plenty of display features.

But the note 9 was a little more I. Think control when it comes to going to you know four different modes versus two. However, you could say all I need is vivid and natural I did like the really vibrant colors on the adaptive display mode here for note 9, but the accuracy and the actual experience of using this edge touch screen for the Galaxy Note tempest definitely lends me to say that yes, I've had a better display experience for this phone, even with that infinity, which kind of disappears into the background, because a lot of apps kind of compensate for that there's like a bar that goes up here that covers it anyway, you don't even notice it really okay. So when watching videos you can see, like I said earlier, that it's not that big of an intrusion in Netflix Amazon, Prime video streaming apps. Usually this will be covered here on YouTube.

You can see it a little, but you can see you're trading a little circle for much more screen space. So, on the note 9, while you don't have the circle, you do have much bigger bezels. So really comes down to what you prefer, but in terms of video watching experience, there's not a great deal of difference. You'll enjoy it on both. There is a higher resolution on the display of the Galaxy Note, 9 and a smaller one on the note m+, but these are so high in the resolution that the average user is not going to be able to tell either way, even though the note 9 actually has a little higher PPI and that's due to cramming 1440p display into a smaller display versus a 1440p display into a bigger display gives you a higher resolution for the note 9, but again at these levels of PPI.

It doesn't really even matter so. Video experience definitely better for the Galaxy Note tempest, because it's just more screen I mean look at it. You could see it right there, okay, so when it comes to software, both of them are running one UI. We got 1.5 version over here, Android 9 on both 1.0 for the Galaxy Note 9, but in actual reality, there's not a great deal of difference in software between these two now you do have wireless power share here, something you're not gonna, get for the Galaxy Note 9. In addition to that, you got things like air action.

The s-pen does get some tweaks in terms of how it looks when you open or take it out of the body, and you can see right there if we take the note 9 out of its S Pen body, you're going to see quite a bit of difference here and the way it looks, so things like that are a little updated. Also, one thing I really like about the s-pen software specifically for the Galaxy Note tempest is the ability to write on calendar. This is something I missed greatly on the note series and the fact that it's back is just amazing, like I love to write my calendar, it's a very productive feature. Also, an S note. If you do scribble something you can just highlight right here, to convert it to text, that's something you couldn't do for the Galaxy Note 9 and, of course you have the easier DEX functionality where you can just plug the USB and to basically any windows or mac, o computer, and you're good to go when it comes to the deck software.

So there are some advantages here, but you know, but things like air actions. For example, on the Galaxy Note, Tempest as pen air actions or even like AR doodle, those are fun features, but not the core experience. They both got. Basically the core experience. The same so coming to the note, 10 plus, is not going to feel like a major update in software or, if you buy the note, 9 you're not gonna, be way back on software.

Now, one area where you might be way back is, if you decide to keep these phones a long time which I don't know how long you plan on keeping them. But the note temp us is gonna, get quicker updates and more frequently, at least until next year's note comes out. So do keep that part in mine. Now, when it comes to the Galaxy Note 9s biometrics actually missed the biometrics. For the note 9, it had iris scanner, you just kind of look at it, and it goes right in, and I really did like that for the note 9, because it was a lot more secure than just you know, a regular face unlock like you get for Galaxy Note template.

Also, you get the in display fingerprint sensor here for note, 10 plus, which is under the display, and it's very convenient, but I think it needs a little more refinement first, but overall, a very convenient feature. There I still just kind of Miss, my iris scanner for note 9. So either way you go, you are getting a pretty decent biometric security, but maybe a little more options here for the note 9 when it comes to security of your biometrics, whereas if you really care about security, have to stick to the ultrasonic and display fingerprint sensor. So talking about the S pen's, the S Pen actually feels a little better built on the note, 10 plus and the clicker is about the same, but it actually Wiggles a little here. A little cheap quality there on the note 9, so definitely a little better I spent.

Also, when you are riding with the s-pen for the Galaxy Note 10, you're not really going to be able to see this, but hey. This actually feels a lot better like it. This feels like you're touching glass, almost for the Galaxy Note templates, and they smoothen out the tip here onto the Galaxy Note templates. It feels a lot more like you're writing on paper, so the actual s-pen writing experience and the quality of the pen is better I. Think for the galaxy know, ten plus.

In addition, the software there's more software. So that's always good. We talked about that a little earlier. You can see you got the AR doodle function here as well. So there's just a lot more.

You can do with the s-pen like a few more features which makes the Galaxy Note templates definitely appeal to s-pen lovers. Now, if you pull these out of the body on the lock screen, you can see that the Galaxy Note 9 does have a color-coded pen. So if I say hey, this is nice. You could see it's going to be the color of the limited edition, yellow pen there. You could change that to white and settings, but what the Galaxy Note tempest you can see.

We have different colors I can go to yellow there, or I can go to purple, or I can go to, let's say green if I want. So you can change all of that right there. Of course, you could still erase pin you can scroll down to get more paper here on the lock screen overall I have to say that it's an improvement here, as you have more customization on the Galaxy Note, 2 M plus here for the off-screen memos. If you do take those so in terms of storage, I actually have more storage on the Galaxy Note 9, because I decided I needed 512 gigs for some reason, never even use close to that. So I went with a 256 gigs on the note.10 plus and I do have expandable memory. So you can push this way up in the storage if you would like to, but even though it's smaller storage, the storage is faster for the Galaxy Note template.

So if you are doing a lot of file transferring you, you probably want the note 10 plus okay, so talking about their cameras. This one is an easy win to the note.10 plus, it's basically got four cameras versus two, and then I have a better front facing camera that can do up to 4k 30 frames. A second there's just no comparison with the note 9, the no nine just gets beat all around by the note 10 plus in the camera, because it has more features. It's basically just an improved quality over that phone. It gives you the wide-angle I mean there's not much to talk about.

We don't have to sit here and talk about it all day. The software is improved, there are more features in the form of life focus. Video. The front-facing camera, is also better on this phone. It's also sharper video I mean the note.9 doesn't have a bad camera by no means it has excellent dynamic range. So if you went with it, I'm sure wouldn't be super disappointed, but the Galaxy Note templates is all around just a better camera.

So yeah, if you want one of these two for the camera, just go ahead and get the note.10 plus you're going to be way happier, but if you're like I, don't use a camera that much, but I do need a decent camera on my phone and I. Don't want to be like left without a very good camera on my phone. The note 9 at its current price point is an excellent value. It's pretty competitive with phones like the tennis Max, for example, but the note 10 plus just takes it up a notch this year over the note 9 now when it comes to their audio qualities, both of them are fantastic externally. The note 9 does have the benefit of a headphone jack.

So if you do want headphone jack note, 9 is the complete package for you, but both of them do have Dolby Atmos, so they both are excellent speakers on both of them. Let's go ahead and have a listen and see which one sounds better. Now: let's go for the Galaxy Note m+, so I didn't hear a big difference in terms of the actual loudness, maybe slightly to the note m+, but I did hear a difference in clarity. The clarity on the note 10-plus is definitely better than that of the note 9. So externally.

The speakers are a tad bit better on to the note 10 plus, but in terms of you know what you can do you have a headphone jack. You don't have a headphone jack here, you do have USB-C and you do have a similar Bluetooth speed. So really it just comes down to that. You know clearer external speakers or headphone jack for me, so one of the biggest draws of the Galaxy series, the note series in general, as of the past couple years, has got to be the battery life. Now the battery life four thousand William over here versus 4300 on the note nine was fantastic.

I was getting around seven eight hours on screen time now, I'm getting around nine hours of screen time for the note 10 plus. So the battery life is improved here for the Galaxy Note 2 M plus, however, they both do have a standby battery drain creep. I, don't know why, but you know you can just take the phone off charge and leave it. There do nothing with it, and it'll be at 97 like an hour later or two hours later, so it does creep and standby. They need to fix this amps and needs to fix this, because it's very annoying, but at the same time these phones have excellent in actual use battery life so either way you go.

You're going to be very happy as a user, but if you're looking for the most battery, of course, the newer phone does have a little better, but I think for this price. This is excellent value in the note 9 in terms of the battery life you're going to get on that phone plus all those features. So let's talk about phone calls, because both them are fantastic. Great Qualcomm modems in here so good reception everywhere and also when actually talking on the phone I was very clear. Never had a user say.

I can't hear you at all that never happened. The phone call quality excellent on both pretty much equal, I would say. And lastly, I forgot to talk about the Snapdragon. Series went up to an 855, so it's a faster processor. It feels a little snappier than the note 9.

It's really hard to tell you really have to put keys to the max to see it. Botha have great multitasking features.12 gigabytes of RAM, vs, 8 gigabytes of RAM, really makes no difference in actual use. You really don't see it that much in terms of the RAM. It's something that's just working behind the scenes, but overall you do have a little better performance for the note 10 plus at the end of the day, the Galaxy Note 9 or the note 10 plus, which should you buy. Well, it comes down to this if you're looking to get great value- and you don't plan on selling your phone for a while, and you don't want to pay, you know 800 900 thousand bucks for phone, but note 9 is likely to please you a lot.

It's a very good phone in just a year ago. This was a thousand-dollar phone, so that doesn't make it anymore or any less of feeling like a thousand dollar phone, just because you're paying less for it. It still feels like a thousand dollar phone. It's the complete package and for this kind of money, you're getting insane productivity out of a smartphone with the Galaxy Note 9. You know I just paid like 1200 for this like last year now the Galaxy Note 10.1. You could get a perfect deal on a note, 10 plus and yes, I, do think you've seen based on my video that I'm a little more positive about the note 10 plus, because it does refine on most of the things I loved about the note 9, which is why I do think.

It's a perfect upgrade if you had the note 9, but I also feel like. If you held on to your note, 9 you'll probably get a better phone this next year when they combined it into the S 11, or they launched the note 11. So that's a never-ending cycle, but overall, yes, clear answer. Yes, the note 10 plus is the better phone. It's felt like a better phone and no I, don't miss my Galaxy Note 9, but do I still think it's a great value.

Absolutely at these cheaper prices, multiple colors, you can get it in. Like you can get in four different colors, or something like that beautiful phone beautiful package for somebody trying to save some money, best phone right here for Android, if you're trying to go all-in on productivity business, all that stuff it's right here. This is the ultimate phone I think right here and the Galaxy Note 2 n plus anyway. If you guys liked the video.
