Google Pixel 2 XL vs LG V30 4k Camera Battle!

Hey guys MVP man here, and today we're doing a camera review between the LGA 30 and the Google Pixel to excel. Let's check it out now. Both of these phones are very capable and have some really great specs. If we look at the Google Pixel you're, looking at a rear-facing camera of 12.2 megapixel compared to the LAB 30 of 16 megapixels, now both of them have dual LED flash, and they have. You know all these features that may or may not be important to you, so I'm just going to skip over like aperture size. You know the camera sensor because those of us who are not professional photographers, probably don't really focus on that.

Furthermore, you know the thing when you look at a camera, is you immediately say? Well, what's the megapixel, but one of the things that I just wanted to highlight is that, despite the fact that one has higher megapixels in the other, I think that, as you look at the video that does not make one camera more superior now also from shooting mode perspective, both of these cameras are capable of 4k. Both of these cameras are capable of 1080p, and they can both shoot. You know as low as 720p, so you have very similar shooting capabilities front facing camera. The pixel has an 8 megapixel and then the LGA 30 has a 5 megapixel. Now one thing I was mentioning throughout the video, and I'll just ask for you to kind of ignore that I was referring to a macro capability, that's available in the V 30, actually so wide-angle.

So just you know apologize for that error as I was talking, but it's really about wide angle, so this one does have wide-angle capabilities which this one doesn't and that's because it has the two lenses now, despite we, you know going over the specs, and you're seeing a difference in this box and in some cases you may think that here the pixel has a superior I would say: specs versus the V 30 there's one thing that makes these cameras or phones very different, and that's the software. Let's just take a look at that so now in the software II is where things really change. So, let's first take a look at pixel. The pixel has really basics off for all. You do is click here, and you have you, the slow motion panorama photosphere the portrait which is going to give you that blurred background, and then you have settings you.

You do have some additional things right here that you can adjust like the flash on flash off. Furthermore, you do have you know different lighting settings here you can change kind of like if you want to have a grid or not I like using grids. They help you with focus stuff timers, but it's really, really basic. You can't even swipe up to change from front facing the back facing you have to push a button. Now, that's where the v30 changes, so the v30 has a lot of different settings and I.

You know I've seen it advertised or people who were reviewed. Its on YouTube have said that this is really someone who has a hobby wants to. You know, shoot video or is doing professional video, taking that this is the kind of camera phone that they would want because of all the settings. So you can see everything that you can do here. You even have the ability to kind of select something zoom out and then, as the videos going and kind of zooms to that area, a lot of different features here and that's where I think that v30 really excels.

You also do have a professional mode and the professional mode which is manual just gives you access to all these features. I mean just put it tilted like this for a second, so you can see them so down here. You can see all these features that give you the control of focus wide balance, just what you would expect or find in a DSLR. So from a software perspective, you know this phone is superior, but you be the judge based on the photo quality and also the video stabilization and the video output that you're seeing in the next few minutes. So hey guys, I've been getting a lot of questions from all of you around.

How does the LGA 30 compare to the Google Pixel to excel? So what we're seeing right now is the front-facing camera pretty much set as stock, so I haven't made any modifications just to give you a sense of what your experience is going to be when using these cameras and how do these two flagship phones from two different manufacturers come to each other, so none of the settings have been modified. This is pretty much just as you'd get the phone right out of the box, just plugging it in turning it on and then taking pictures. So we're going to do is we're gonna. Look at video stabilization, we're gonna! Look at overall, you know how does it deal with different lights, as you can see as I'm, going from a light area to kind of darker area in the background, and then also we're gonna, take a look at how the camera shoots all right. So what we're going to do.

First, is we're gonna start with a normal walk, we're gonna, look at how the image stabilization takes place. The audio quality you're going to see a little icon, jumping from side to side telling you where the audio is coming from. So, let's start with a slight jog, so you can see what you should expect if you're recording yourself for vlogging or if you're just you know taking pictures and videos, a family and friends using the front-facing camera. So let's go from a jog to run back to walk alright guys. So now this is the back facing camera set at 1080p, and you're.

Seeing what I see we're using the standard image, stabilization technology, that's part of the cameras themselves or the phones, and we're going to go from a walk to a brisk jog to a run just to see how the image stabilization works. Now we're in an area here that I have a lot of shade as I'm walking through this Walker or nature reserve as I start getting to the sunny area, we'll see how the cameras adjust to the actual sunlight, but again keep your eye on the overall light changes, how it affects the image and also the stability. Now one thing that the v30 has this: has the ability to do this zoom. So let's check that out alright. So one of the features that we have with the V 30 is the ability to do a macro shot so right there I went in, and I zoomed in you don't have that feature with the pixel.

We're going to go back, and we'll go zoom it again. So that's what the stabilization would look like as I'm walking doing that macro shot alright guys. So now what we're seeing is 4k video recording from both cameras. Let's go ahead and try again that run to that walk. You can see the stabilization we're going to see how it reacts different lights right now and if you want to see how that macro shot works with the V 30 there we go back and forth could definitely see that there's a little arc of light when you go into that.

Second lens see that right there all right. So let's take a look at some shots from the camera. This is front-facing. This is gonna, be the back facing camera and here's another back facing shot. So take a look at the detail.

Take a look at the color, see what you'd like better here's another back facing camera shot. Here's another shot now coming up that has more color in it and a scarecrow background shot really of a landscape of a tot lot and yet again another selfie, so just check those out hey guys. So this concludes our review of the Google pick so to excel and the LGA 30. If you have any comments or questions, even the common area below, if you liked the video give it a thumbs up.
