Galaxy S21 Ultra vs Sony Xperia 1 II! | VERSUS

Hi there, my name is Sam from ros. com and welcome to new comparison, video between the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra and the Sony Xperia 1 mark ii. We are comparing both phones in terms of display performance, camera design and battery stay tuned and find out which phone is, in our opinion, the better phone before going ahead and start this comparison, we would like you to know that we are still doing our giveaway for more details. Watch until the end of this video, if you'd like to see more videos like this feel free to subscribe and hit the notification bell. Let's start straight away with our review. Let the pack speak display the Xperia 1 mark ii has a 6.5 inch cinema wide display, which means it has a 21 to 9 aspect ratios. With a 1644 p resolution, it uses a 4k OLED screen which creates crispy sharp images.

The 6.5 inch display, therefore, measures 16.5, centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of an incredible 643 PPI. The screen only has a 60hz refresh rate, but it uses motion blur, which creates the look and feel of a 90hz display, looks like a hard challenge. Let's see if the s21 can compete, the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra has a 6.8 inch display with a 1440p resolution. It is fitted with an audit screen which does a fantastic job. The s21 ultra measures, 17.3 centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of 515 PPI. The display has an impressive 120hz refresh rate with a quad HD resolution, and it is also downgrading the rate when it's not in used to reduce power consumption.

So the Sony shines with a higher resolution and amazing pixel density, while the Samsung impresses, with a higher refresh rate and the power reducing feature, the 120hz is setting the new standard, and it's such a big thing for most people. At the moment. Therefore, we decided to count this as a draw camera. The Sony PR one mark ii has three main cameras: a 60 millimeter ultra-right, a 24 millimeter wide angle and a 70 millimeter telephoto camera. Each camera has a resolution of 12 megapixels.

The front camera's resolution is 8 megapixel the Sony Xperia 1 mark ii records 4k videos at a maximum of 60 frames per second, and of course it has image stabilization for video 2. Since Sony is manufacturing cameras for a long time now, they should know what they are doing. Let's see what the galaxy brings to the table. The Samsung Galaxy s9 ultra has four main cameras, an ultra rate with 12 megapixels, a wide angle with 108 megapixels and two telephoto cameras with 10 megapixels. The front camera's resolution is 40 megapixels, the Samsung Galaxy 21 ultra records 8k videos at a maximum of 24 frames per second, and, of course it has image stabilization for video 2.

Both phones have good camera systems, but which one is actually the better system. Let's take it to our camera test and, let's find out which one does a better job pictures taken with the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra are sharp and color rendering is good. The pictures of the Sony per one mark ii seem sharp, sometimes a bit too sharp and color rendering is okay. In case of the front camera we actually like the Samsung's camera more. The Xperia 1 mark ii has a 3 volt optical and a three-fold digital zoom feature.

The s21 alter, on the other hand, has an epic 10-fold optical and a 100 volt digital zoom. Still the question stays what the feature is actually for, since all the way zoomed in the pictures are somewhat useless. Okay, so thoughts are good. Now, let's switch from photo feature to the video feature to find out which of these two phones takes better videos. The Sony Xperia was only able to shoot slow motion, videos with 120 frames per second and 2k mode, which is okay, but compared to the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, which is able to shoot 240 frames per second in HD mode and up to 960 frames per second by digitally, enhancing 480 frames per second in HD mode.

The 120 frames per second seems like nothing, so we actually really like the camera feature and the occluded pro apps and Sony's phone. We still do, but other manufacturers set up the game. For instance, Samsung added a pro feature, which gives you also more control over your camera settings. I'd say it's time for Sony not to only update the actual camera systems. They should do it in their phones too.

They definitely have the potential and the knowledge to have the best ones on the market, but in this case, Samsung takes home the win in this category, but hey. There are already rumors about the new upcoming film from Sony fingers crossed performance. The Sony Xperia 1 mark ii has 256 gigabyte internal storage capacity. It is equipped with a superfast Qualcomm snapdragon 865 chips and has 8 gigabyte ram. Dodge capacity can be expanded by up to 1 terabyte 16 gigabyte ram is insane what has the Xperia got to offer since we are in Europe, this Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra model uses a Samsung Enos 2100 chips with the new 5 nanometer process technology.

There are different versions with different storage capacities, available, a 128 gigabyte and a 256 gigabyte, with 12 gigabyte ram and a version with 512gb, with 16 gigabytes of ram, which is in use in this comparison. The storage capacity can unfortunately not be expanded anymore. The old snapdragon 865 versus Samsung's newest chip, the Enos 2100, let's take them into the n2 benchmark test and the geek bench 5 test to find out the tests are divided into three phases: a performance test of the ram, a test of how the device is handling two-dimensional, graphics and an endurance test of how the device is handling 3d, graphics. The second test is from geek bench. This app will measure the performance of our smartphones in terms of CPU and GPU.

Okay, so, even though the Xperia did slightly better in geekier's multi-core category, the results on the single core category and the an tutu benchmark are pretty decisive, making the Samsung with its bigger ram and newer chip. The clear winner of this category design, the Sony Xperia 1 mark ii, has a clean design with a glossy finish. The treble camera system is well positioned in the upper left corner on the back of the phone. We noticed that lots of flagship phones have huge camera. Bumps Sony did a good job by reducing theirs to an acceptable amount on this phone.

The smartphone weighs 181 gram, it's roughly 16.6 centimeter long, 7.2, centimeter wide and 0.7 centimeter deep. It is water and dust resistant thanks for an ip68 rating. The Xperia one mark ii has like every modern, smartphone and USB-C connector. You can unlock the phone via fingerprint scanner, which is built into the power button on the right side of the phone. One thing that you cannot find in most of the new flexion phones is an audio jack.

The Xperia 1 mark ii still has one which we consider as a bonus point. In our opinion, it looks like a very well-designed phone worthy of its flagship position. Next up the galaxy, the galaxy s20 ultra comes across very sophisticated thanks to its matte finish. The quad camera system is, as usual, in the upper left corner on the back of the phone, but the bump seems like it is more connected to the front of the phone. It looks like as if the frame is wrapped around the upper left corner of the back.

The bump itself really sticks out of the phone again, which makes that corner really thick. The smartphone weighs 227 gram. It is roughly 16.5 centimeter long 7.56, centimeter wide and 0.89 centimeter deep. It has an USB connector and thanks to an ip68 rating, it is also water and dust resistant. The s20 uses face recognition, technology and a fingerprint scanner which is built into the screen to unlock the phone Samsung improved the fingerprint scanner by making it 1.77 times bigger and two times faster. The first positive feature of the Sony for us was that its camera bump is relatively small compared to other flagship smartphones in general.

The phone is pleasantly slim and looks and feels very high class. It also doesn't have the curved edges which we didn't like on the Samsung. The minus is that its back is a two fingerprint magnet, and you could say that the battles could be maybe called a bit old school, but there is no whole punch notch. Therefore, nothing that distracts you consuming videos or pictures on your device. The galaxy, on the other hand, looks like a spotless and robust phone, at least until you turn or tilt it generally.

A really premium quality design, especially with a nice, rainbow shine, matte metal. Look. So both are premium quality phones in the end we have to choose a winner, though, and this time we decided to give the point to the Sony, because we really liked its minimalist design. And, yes, we are expecting tons of comments from you guys calling us crazy. My guess is that those comments will be mostly about the bezels on top and bottom of the screen that the Xperia still has so go ahead and tell us what you think.

We can't wait to read your comments: battery the Samsung Galaxy ultra when fully charged with 5000 William hours. On the other end, the opera, when fully charged has 4 000 William hours. The galaxy should last longer due to its bigger battery. Let's take them into our day-to-day usage test and see, if that's true, thanks to its newer and better technology, combined with a larger battery, the Samsung is able to last almost twice as long as the opera, which almost makes us question the suitability of daily use for the Sony point for the galaxy conclusion before we start the conclusion: let's talk about our giveaway as we are still a small channel, but we experience, in our opinion, a great growth over the last couple of months with tons of support from you guys. We decided to call it a draw. Sony's phone has one of the best displays, but its weakness is a low refresh rate, a point where the galaxy definitely has an advantage.

The performance point clearly went to the galaxy since the s21 ultra has got a high amount of gigabyte ram and the newest technology processor. In terms of the camera system. The point also went to the s21. The overall camera performs us better than Sony's the better looking phone is, in our opinion, the opera, and we know we get some backlash for that, but we think that the overall concept of Sony's design is better. That brings us to the last point.

The battery life comparison Samsung really shines here. It clearly lasted long on our usage test, which is why the galaxy got this point. In the end, the Xperia 1 mark 2 has got 2 points and the galaxy s 21 4. We think that it is still a good result for the opera, and we really would like to see a new version of the Xperia 1. Still the galaxy s21 ultra is the well-deserved winner in this comparison.
