Destroying an old Android Phone! By Calebfire10

Hey guys it's calebfier10 here, and today I have a very interesting video. I decided this phone's way too old, and I'm not using it, so I thought it'd be fun to break it or test its durability on camera. So that's what I'll be doing today and just something else about this phone. It is pretty slow. Let me just try opening up chrome. I've got no idea what it's going to load.

Oh, nothing because there's no internet, oh actually, it's kind of loading stuff, but yeah as you can see, it's super slow. I think my phone just completely froze oh, oh there. It goes so how I'm going to do this. Is I'm going to put this through some random scenarios and see if they survive them? So we'll do the first one, let's say you're walking around calling on the phone, and you drop it. Well, fortunately, from one drop it'll be fine! I can get that under the light.

Oh, never mind. We scuffed it up a bit, but it just snaps back on but dang. I actually scuffed that up pretty good. Let's say it gets a little wet. Oh, we're opening up my phone contacts.

Oh, it's not responding! Oh there, it goes it's just being slow. I should test the audio. It's uh still working, let's say you're using it over the toilet, and you accidentally drop it in that's disgusting. Well, for the most part it seems like it still works. Um, oh, is spanning out.

Oh, it enabled Google Assistant, oh my gosh. What is going on got quieter, wow, that's terrible, because there's water in it, I'm sure once it dries out it'll be fine, though let's say you accidentally step on it. Whoa, the colors uh was kind of messed up, not anymore, though I opened google play. Did I? Oh, that's just the fishing. What the heck stop opening stuff, I think there's still water in it.

Huh, so anyway. Just pretend we're saying I'm playing a game, because I can't load anything, let's say you're playing a game, and you rage-quit at it. That would have been better on concrete, but I guess we could just go. Oh, and it did the same uh color thing again: yeah. Whenever you push on it, that gets the color.

All weird see: that's the first one I've seen. Oh, it opened malware bytes. Oh my gosh get off of that there. Okay. I am going to try and film some of this stuff from the perspective of the selfie camera.

So we will see how this goes so, let's say you're going for a run in the park, and you accidentally drop it while you're running the phone will be fine except for some more scuffing up on the edges. This plastic does not fare very well to scuffing. Well, it's very prone to scuffing is what I mean I probably should have recorded with my iPhone, because when I dropped the phone the battery popped out so that video definitely did not save to the phone. Okay powering it back up, screen's perfectly fine, oh, but yeah. Since that didn't save.

I'm going to have to try that again, let's say you're vlogging trying to get a cool angle down, and you drop your phone. Oh, did not do any damage yep, it's still fine, let's say you're swinging on the swings and when you go swinging up, your phone gets thrown out of your hand. Ah, yeah the battery popped out again: oh, oh, that was a bad landing. Ah, yeah the phone landed on the concrete, and it popped out. I should probably go get tape and tape the battery in that way.

These videos save because I'm not getting any footage, which I kind of want to get footage from this phone, because you know it's a unique perspective. So, let's boot this thing back up see if it's still holy crap the screen's still fine, all right yeah. Let me go get tape. Yeah! Let's just find an ice chunk here. We'll do this.

Well, I didn't expect that to do much damage, but now this camera's, all blurry and now there's water. In the speakers.

I have to get that off speakers. I have to get that get the snow off, get the snow off. Also, I taped in the battery. So hopefully it stays better, I'm so blurry, I'm a ghost. Let's say you didn't learn your lesson from last time, and you do it again.

Ah, it stayed in no, it didn't wait. Yes, I did. Oh, oh, oh, shoot it's done! Rip Alcatel, hey at least that video is on there but jeez. That is a bad crack. It is still alive, though technically, let's see, can probably page it, but actually I'll just go home, and I'll just go into find my android thing and show it.

Unfortunately, I think it's dead. It's not responding anymore, so yeah we'll plug into the PC and see what happens all right plugged into the PC. There are no signs of life, it's not connecting to the PC and the light doesn't turn on. So unfortunately, I'm going to have to say it's dead now before I get started destroying this with a shovel, because I can't find a hammer, let me take out the wait. A second was the battery, just not in all the way.

Oh, oh there's life except I need to unlock the phone because you know to use the features. So, let's just uh is that actually glass or is it plastic? I have no idea, but I'm probably going to have to sweep up this area afterwards. Also get that battery out of the phone yeah that's gotta be plastic. I should probably use a better tool for this I'll be right back now. Now this is more like it.

I think it still works. I don't even know if I can put the battery back in here. Let me just uh glide that back out, you know what just for fun. Let's see if it still powers on, I don't think it will. I can't even put the battery in ah yeah.

I can't put it in, so it's done. Also, I'm glad I'm not doing this in any of the driveways. I don't need a have a tire get popped. What is there no glass on the camera lens? Oh there's, not glass on the camera lens anymore. Oh, I think, because this is the camera lens.

I can't even get the camera lens yeah, that's the camera lens! Ah, dang it. I was hopeful it's starting to split open, but before I touch that should probably put on some gloves, you always want to be safe. So now that I've got my gloves on, let's just see bend test. I can't bend it not with one hand at least then I don't have a mount. So, oh actually! Yes, I do, but then I'm not filming at 60.

, but yeah. This thing is screwed up. I even if I think I could get the battery to fit. I don't think this would power on because I'm sure the motherboard's probably screwed up, but I kind of want to try powering it on, but I don't think oh the battery thing's done, so I don't even think it would power on anymore, even with power. Oh gee, I just need to uh all right where's the circuit board, yum yum.

It must be under this, but yeah, I think I'm just going to call it quits, there's a survivor all right. I have a lot of cleaning up to do and with that.
