Customizing the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: making it mine

All right, so I guess this means we got gotta talk about this setup, then hey guys, it's Zach with android police. As you know, we like to share with you the ways that we make our phones uniquely ours in my two previous videos. There were quite a few comments made on this setup right here and if you haven't seen those two videos by the way you should check them out. One is my note: 20 ultra review and the other summarizes some of the note 20 ultras best and worst features links below anyway. This is how I've customized the note 20 ultra. For starters, the launcher I'm using is called lawn, chair v2, it's not in the play store, so make sure you check the links in the description.

Everything else will be there too. So don't worry. I'm using an icon grid size of 12x6, I disabled the icon labels, I'm using an icon size of 95, and I hit the status bar now. I've gotten many questions on this icon pack, so this one is called fluent it's my current go to, and I really enjoy it. Furthermore, I've got four icons on my main home screen here, and these are some of my most used applications and if I swipe up on some of them, it'll open up a folder showing apps from that same category.

Tapping on them normally will just open up that application. So it's a really nice way to keep things clean while still having quick access to a bunch of other apps. Next, let's talk widgets this one right here is from flow for quit. I think it looks really great, especially on larger devices, like the note 20 ultra and I have it set to open up the clock and the calendar apps when I tap the matching areas of that widget. The one I've got at the bottom is also from flow for quit.

It's slightly customized, to show my name there, and I actually have this placed on the dock, so it stays there. Whenever I swipe to a different home screen, it displays the current weather and the battery percentage too. Another way I make this phone mine is with skins from this video sponsor brand, I'm using their black leather skin. I just love the way it looks, and I love the way it complements the bronze color of this phoned brand, of course offers many different colors styles and different textures for a huge range of devices, so make sure you check them out link below now on to that next home screen, I've got month, calendar widget! Now, if you know anything about me, you should know that I've been using this for forever. Basically- and I know there are plenty of other calendar options out there, especially when it comes to quit stuff, but I always find myself coming back to this one, and it might just be the quick and easy and smooth access to the full year view below that I've got some other regularly used applications.

I've got the gallery app. I've got the files app for file management. Of course, there's Google messages and there's a folder dedicated to games. I've got a handful of rhythm games in here. Of course, I've got good old.

Sites. You've probably seen me play this in videos before it's an old favorite. Then there are two other rhythm games that I've been messing around with recently you've seen me play these. If you watched my note, 20 ultra review, they're really fun, you should check them out, and then I also have a couple emulators. As of now, I've got a Nintendo DS, emulator and a Nintendo game cube emulator.

These are tons of fun, and they are great ways to play. Games that I grew up with, especially Mario Kart double dash such a fun part of my childhood. I love this game pairing this up with a controller, makes for a great gaming experience. I also plan on looking into Xbox game pass. It looks really solid, so that'll definitely be fun now.

I know a lot of you have probably been waiting for me to get to this wallpaper. So, interestingly enough, this wallpaper actually came from an iOS application called vellum, it's one of the best wallpaper apps from the other side, and I thought this wall would look great on this display, and it does. I decided to use it in tandem with rain paper, which is how I both blurred the wallpaper and got this rain effect. It does affect battery life a little so just know that if you're going to use this yourself, another thing I'm using is Samsung's good, lock application. Now, unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be available in every country, but if you're able to get your hands on it, I highly recommend you check it out, as it really enhances the user experience with one UI.

I mainly use it to get this specific view of my recent applications. It's super smooth, and I prefer it big time over the stock view one UI comes with. I also use it to do things like customize, the navigation bar to add extra buttons or just change how the buttons look. I use it to customize how multi-window works. It does a lot of other really cool stuff.

It's very handy, I'm also trying to use Bixby routines. I feel like these can actually be really useful. The first routine that I thought of was for when I connect my Xbox controller through Bluetooth, the dolphin emulator, which is where I play the game cube games, will open up right away and on its own and then for when it's time to wind down for the day the lock screen, shortcuts change, dark mode turns on the brightness, goes down to the exact percentage that I want, and the Google home application will open up automatically. So I can make sure all the smart home stuff is in check before I go to bed, but that's pretty much it for this one. It is a super simple setup, but I know a lot of you were very interested in this one.

So I hope you enjoy it again. Details and links are sitting right there in the description box subscribe to the android police channel if you're new and don't forget to hit that bell icon to get notified for when we post new videos, it's been Zach, and thank you so much for watching you.
