iPhone 12 Pro Max Vs iPhone XS! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone time to do another comparison, this time around between the newly released iPhone 12 Pro max and the somewhat older, iPhone 10s. Now, I'm just pumping out these videos like crazy, and what I can tell you are: is that there's a lot of differences? There's a lot of similarities. I think the biggest difference probably comes in terms of something that I'm going to mention in this video. At some point and throughout the duration, the 12 pro max costs 1099 the iPhone 10s. You can pick up, probably realistically for like less than 500, I want to say more, like 400, but for the time being I'll just say less than 500, but I'll find the cheapest ones on both these link them down in the description you can get them from there and help support the channel at the same time now side by side, you can definitely see the iPhone.10S is a far smaller phone. The whole entire phone can pretty much fit into the display of the iPhone 12 Pro max.

That's a pretty big thing. If you like, a smaller phone go for the tennis, if you like, a bigger one, go for the 12 pro max, but there's more that meets the eye than the size. Now the iPhone 7s has that 5.8 inch panel on the front- and I've said this before, and I'll say it again: it's not a bad panel. This is an aftermarket display too, but you know, I've had a real one. I've had a bunch of other iPhones too, and the panels of these have been really.

Nice apple really didn't make any crazy achievements going from the 10 panel to even like the iPhone 12 Pro panel. To be honest, the biggest advantage the 12 pro max has is, that is that it's bigger it has kind of less bezel around it and that's really pretty much it they both they all kind of look the same, if I'm being honest and the iPhone 10s very little bezel around the display. It has that notch. I can tell you for sure: it's not a bad panel, but the 12 pro max's panel with its 6.7 inch super red and Dr or the panel it's bigger. It's nicer, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's the best bang for its buck and even going from the 11 pro max panel to this one, not that many differences.

The biggest change, I would say, is definitely in terms of the flat sides that we have now because of that, there's overall, less body bezel on the iPhone 12 Pro max. So what does this mean pretty much on the iPhone 10s? If you can kind of see it's kind of hard to tell, but you can see that the body kind of you know pushes out a little past that panel with the iPhone 12 Pro max it's just a little, but it doesn't have that curved side to it, but the tennis feels a little better in the hand, even though it's you know bigger, even though it has more body bezel versus the curved sides on the 10s in terms of the thinness and thickness of the two, I really don't think one is way thinner or thicker than the other one. They kind of feel the same. If I'm being honest, maybe the tennis is a little thinner or thicker. I don't know, but I would not go from one phone to the other based off the thickness and on the back, you can see dual camera setup on the iPhone 10s triple camera setup, with the lighter on the 12 pro max frosted glass back on the iPhone 12 Pro max, which is awesome.

It's the standard glass back on the iPhone 10s. So in terms of the outside, there's not that many crazy differences. The really main difference is the additional camera setup, the bigger display and just the bigger phone that you're getting on the top pro max. But the iPhone x is still perfect. In my opinion- and you know: you're getting IP certification on both have wireless charging.

There's not that many crazy features that the 12 pro max has that the iPhone 10s doesn't really have you're just getting a bigger phone in terms of the outside on the 12 pro max and the iPhone 10s. In terms of the software, though, this is probably a bigger difference. The iPhone 10s came out in 2018, the 12 pro max just came out so realistically, this phone is going to be lasting for about two years longer than the iPhone 10s. So that's a pretty big thing to keep in mind again. For now, it may not be a big difference or a big deal to you all, but you'll probably find out in a couple of years, probably three, four years from now the iPhone x is going to stop getting updates for the 12 pro max is probably still going to be getting at least like two more versions of update, so as of right now it doesn't really matter, but that pretty much covers up the software side.

Now, let's go into a speed comparison, I'm pretty sure this is what you all wanted. The iPhone x has that Apple A12 boundary chip inside it with four gigabytes of ram. The iPhone 12 Pro max has that Apple A14 bionic chip inside it with six gigabytes of ram. So let's go and see which one is the faster one between both of these okay. Now that we're back, let me go ahead and actually increase the brightness here and that's probably too bright.

Let me go and decrease that a little, that's probably good, it's probably back to where it was before. Let me clear all the apps in the background and the topper max has a couple of them. So let's go and get through that, and now we're set. So let's go back to the beginning. Let's do phone calls three two one, and you can see I'm not really to sure which one was the winner, but they both look pretty close.

Let's do the app store three two one, the 12 pro max was far faster than the iPhone 10s. That was a pretty big difference, if I'm being honest scrolling through, and I'm not really seeing too many differences, but for sure the iPhone 12. X was faster there. As always, I have a bunch of these third-party apps, so we can go and download or that we can go and get through. Let's do fruit, ninja three two one and this flare that I'm seeing on my viewing angle.

I don't think you can see it on the camera, but there's a bunch of light on the front of this top pro max. That makes it hard to see, but the 12 max was far faster there. iPhone 10 is definitely behind it for sure. Let's go ahead and do Facebook, how about it here? Three two one and 12 pro max still was faster than the iPhone 10s. Let's do twitter three, two one and again, actually they both were pretty close.

I don't know if one was way faster than the other one, as you can see, swiping out, not a big difference. Instagram three, two one: twelve max faster, iPhone tennis, a little behind Snapchat three, two one topper max faster iPhone since behind paper, Io, two three two one fall pro max was faster iPhone.10 is a little behind. Let's get into some gameplay, and I don't know if there's going to be a difference, I guess we'll go and see. I guess there really wasn't. To be honest.

I already died there. Let's do real racing three, two one now this one may take a minute on both phones, but I will say the tennis has been doing a pretty decent job now watch it totally disrupt on me and not even you know, open that up. That's a complete possibility, but the iPhone top pro max just actually opened it, and the iPhone tennis was a little behind now. This is a pretty big game and that's why I kind of think this one actually shows a lot more than even some other ones. Let's go ahead and do whatever this one is temple run two three two one and the 12 pro max is already done.

For some reason, the 12 max does the zapper really fast. The 10s is a little behind and the 12 pro max fully loaded the iPhone 10s now day to day, are you going to notice this? Maybe not if you're playing a lot of temple runs at real racing. Three, maybe you'll notice it, but for day-to-day tasks I mean both phones still feel pretty smooth, because iOS is so. You know good on both these phones. They both do a perfect job at basically managing the know, power that they have.

So, let's do both three two ones. Twelve pro max was faster. iPhone 10 is a little behind Dropbox. Three two one triple max is faster iPhone.10 is behind while it three two one twelve per max is faster, but they both were actually very. Very close.

I'm not going to lie Netflix three two one and twelve pro max is slightly faster. Just by a little. They both are very close snake versus blocks three two one: it's all promises faster, iPhone, 10s behind it get into some gameplay. Let's see if there's a difference and there may not be they both are kind of about the same. To be honest, there wasn't really that big of a difference- I've been completely honest, stack 321 and the 12 pro max again was faster there.

Let's end it off with manque. I think it is three two one, and again it was slightly faster on the iPhone 12 Pro max. So, to kind of some of this video and to answer the question I honestly think like as expected, the 12 pro max was faster each time, but I'm actually super surprised by how well the iPhone 10s was able to hold up. I was expecting the tennis to be like noticeably behind the iPhone pro max like every time and yes, it was behind every time, but it really wasn't that far off, like it was really, really close, and because of that, I really love seeing that on the iPhone 12 Pro max on something like the iPhone 10s, it's kind of expected, the 12 per max is going to be faster, but because the iPhone 10s was this close each time that really shows how well the iPhone x still holds up. This phone is two years old.

This phone just came out, and the fact that it's even like kind of close, is very surprising to me. So, yes, the 12 pro max is the faster one, but the iPhone 10s is extremely, extremely close to my opinion. So in terms of speed comparison that pretty much covers it up, let me go and hit on the cameras and, like I said, triple camera setup on the iPhone 12 Pro max 12 megapixels, wide 12, megapixel, telephoto, 12 megapixel ultrawide, with the LIDAR lens with the iPhone x, has a 12 megapixel wide and 12 megapixel telephoto lens. Now I've talked about the iPhone 10s camera for years now, and I've said this over and over again, it's a perfect camera setup. With that telephoto lens.

It adds a lot more character to the phone, and you can do 4k 60 on the back of this phone, which is awesome, but you can only do 1080p at 60 on the front of the iPhone 10s, which I think for a majority of people are still okay, but I feel like the biggest differentiating factor between the 12 pro max and the iPhone 10s going from the tennis to the 12 pro max. It's probably going to come in that front camera the back camera you're, getting that additional ultra-right sensor, which is awesome as well as the LIDAR sensor, but you're getting that extra capability on the front camera, which is huge in my opinion, on the iPhone 12 Pro max now on something like the iPhone 12 Pro max. I mean it's going to be getting you a better experience, probably than the 10s, and because of that front-facing camera is going to do you a lot better, and I'll definitely tell you. I mean I'll, probably be not the first one to say going from an iPhone 10s to the 12 pro max is going to be a worthwhile upgrade, but you also have to ask yourself: you know: is it going to be the best one in the world? Is it going to be worth it? It's not. I honestly don't think it's going to be that crazy of a jump.

To be completely honest, I think going from the 12 pro max to the iPhone 10s is a good jump, but I also think going from the iPhone tennis to the 11 pro camera is a perfect jump too. Really you're missing the telephoto lens and the 4k 60, which the 11 pro already brought. So you don't really have to go from the tennis to the 12 pro max. You can go from antennas to the know, 11 pro and still get a really, really good camera jump. So in terms of camera that pretty much covers it up running it off with the battery size, I mean I'll, definitely tell you the iPhone 10 is going to be.

You know not keeping up with the iPhone 12 Pro max the 12 pro max. With this way bigger battery. It's almost, I think, a thousand million hours bigger than the iPhone 10s. This is going to be getting you better battery life because it's the bigger phone and some people may say. Oh, it's more powerful, it's more a bigger battery.

It's a bigger size! You know shouldn't it be worse. It's not the case. The iPhone 10s has been horrible on iOS 14 I'll, be honest and the iPhone 12 Pro max thrives on iOS 14. So this one's going to give you better battery life temporarily. So to kind of sum up this video and say answer the question: should you pick up the iPhone 10s? Should you pick up the iPhone 12 Pro max? What I can tell you is that if you currently have an iPhone 12 Pro max, obviously keep it doesn't go downgrade to a 10s, but if you currently have an iPhone 10s, I would recommend keeping it honestly.

This phone still has a lot of capability behind it. You still get a current design. I mean look at this phone. Look at this one they're kind of exactly the same, just getting a bigger phone with the flat sides, so visually they're, almost the same of course you're getting a better build on the 12 pro max, but the iPhone 10s, with its beautiful display with its fast performance for the most part. Still it's still getting softer updates.

It's still going to be supported for a very long time. It really doesn't make too much sense to me to go from an iPhone x to the 12 pro max and for a 100 fact. The iPhone 10s is a better deal than the iPhone 12 Pro max. That's just a given hands down this phone. Are you know whatever? It is less than 500 it's less than half the cost of the 12 pro max, but it's not half the phone.

It is like 85 to 90 percent of what the 12 pro max is you're, getting a perfect, build quality software updates performance. Camera quality is great wireless charging, IB certification, those same things can be found on the 12 pro max. The biggest advantage is the size with the 12 pro max my opinion. It's a better looking phone, it's a bigger phone. You have the new flat sides and I guess it's better performance, better cameras and all that going from the iPhone 11 Pro to 11 pro max to the 12 pro or 12 pro max.

Wasn't really that big foot jump. I will see a bigger jump going from a 10s to an 11 pro than an 11 pro going to the 12 pro my opinion, so that's kind of what I would tell you. If you really want to get a phone right now, I would recommend getting an iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro max in the used market and get it cheaper than what you can get it for the 12 pro max. In my opinion, like I said, I think both phones are great, but I think you're going to be getting a better experience from an 11 pro with that price tag. That's cheaper than the 12 pro in some areas, but if you have all the money in the world get the iPhone 12 Pro max, but I think the iPhone 10s is still perfect, and I would recommend keeping it until the iPhone 13 comes out.
