Camera Test: iPhone 11 Pro Max vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 10+

Samsung's Galaxy Note 10.1 fall device and one of the iPhone 11s main competitors. If you want to check out our hands-on with the Galaxy Note 10 the upper right corner, but in today's video we wanted to compare the note n pluses camera with the iPhone 11 Pro's camera before we get started, be sure to subscribe and hit the bell to get notifications. Whenever we share a video like the note 10, plus the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro max feature a triple lens camera system. The iPhone 11 Pro offers a 12 megapixel telephoto 12 megapixel wide and 12 megapixel ultra-wide cameras, while the note 10 plus offers up the same three lens setup, but at 12 megapixels for the telephoto and wide and 16 for the ultra-wide camera. On the front of the note 10, we have a single 10 megapixel camera, which is capable of a face and iris unlock, but it's not the most secure option compared to the built-in fingerprint scanner or Apple space ID on the iPhone 11 Pro speaking of face ID the true depth camera system on the iPhone 11 Pro is mostly the same as before, but it does work from a wider range of angles and the new 12 megapixel camera can take 4k 60 frames per second video, wider photos and slow motion. Video I've noticed that the front-facing camera on the note 10 plus, is actually capable of taking sharper photos and videos compared to the 11pro.

The colors found in these photos taken with the 11pro, are a little more accurate in my opinion. But if you focus in on the face, it doesn't look as sharp as it does on the note. It might be a matter of preference, though, as sometimes the camera might be trying to over sharpen things a bit. So this is the front facing camera on both the note 10 plus and the iPhone 11 Pro max. So I'm going to switch back and forth in both audio quality, and I'll have both images from the front-facing camera recording at 4k 60 from each camera.

So this is the front-facing camera on the note, 10 plus again and switching back to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. So hopefully you can kind of get an idea of what the video quality looks like in again 4k 60 on the front-facing camera, so yeah curious to see what everybody thinks about the image quality for each camera. Switching over to the rear cameras both denote 10 plus and the iPhone 11 Pro are capable of taking some fantastic photos and videos, and sometimes the photos out of these cameras are indistinguishable. Depending on your preference. The note 10 plus still runs a bit high in the highlights, Department, meaning that it might wash out your photos or overexpose them too much compared to the iPhone.

Most users will probably not like that, but what I do sometimes prefer is the slight over saturation from the note 10 plus, especially in really colorful pictures. The iPhone 11 Pro stays true to the natural color profile of a scene, but sometimes the no 10 plus likes to get a little carried away in over saturated things. If you prefer that look like I do at certain times, then it might be something to consider when trying to decide between these phones. But editing tools can also add these effects in post-processing. Both phones include an ultra-wide sensor this year and, while the note 10 plus does feature the higher megapixel count for that sensor, the pictures really aren't any better in quality.

In my opinion than that of the iPhone, it's still a fantastic utility to have for either phone, as you can obviously capture much more in the frame and having that wider field of view during shots of the city or a large group of people can certainly come in handy. Both Lee note, 10 plus and the iPhone 11 Pro have night modes for low-light photography and both phones are capable of taking amazing photos and settings where the lighting is kind of poor. If I had to lean one way, it would probably be the iPhone, because, just like the photos in normal lighting conditions, the iPhone 11 Pro doesn't try to overexpose, like the note 10 plus, however, sometimes that overexposure might come in handy, because I feel, like the note 10 plus, was able to capture some scenes in certain lighting situations that might not be as ideal and make them a little brighter, and you can see a lot more detail as opposed to the iPhone 11. Video quality, for both phones is also fantastic.4K 60 frames was our main setting, and it delivered some really great-looking footage. I really didn't have a preference either way in terms of image quality, but I did think.

The stabilization on the 11pro was just a bit better. One last thing before we wrap up portrait mode on the iPhone 11 Pro and live focus on the note.10 plus are largely the same this year as it was last year. I do think both features have improved a little in edge detection when trying to blur out around the focus of the subject and each device is capable of delivering good both without chopping off things like hair or clothing. There were a couple of instances where both phones struggled with the same objects, but for the most part it does a pretty good job. Both phones did a fantastic job with my son's curly hair, for example, which is usually a good test to see exactly how much it can focus in around certain subjects and distinguish the background from the foreground.

Overall photo preference between these two devices is going to come down to color profile. If you prefer that saturated look and if you can get past some of the highlights that are blown out or that slightly washed out, look that the note 10 seems to give. Then you might like it over the iPhones more natural colors, while the iPhone 11 Pro does take some pretty outstanding pictures, unedited straight out of the camera. You can do some pretty basic editing and fine-tuning on your note, 10 plus as photos to achieve a very similar look. So it's something to keep in mind.

I am curious to hear your thoughts. Do you guys prefer the iPhone, 11 Pro or the note 10 + go ahead and let us know in the comment section down below this has been down with Mac rumors, thanks? So much for watching, and I hope to see you around in the next video.
