iQOO Z3 Review- Should you Buy it?

Hello friends welcome to technique. This is dharma here and in this video we're going to do a detailed review of the new ICU z3. So ICU z3 is ICO's third device in India. After the launch of the IPO 3 last year, then IQ 7 series came up. In fact, this is the fourth device uh the ICU z3 we just launched for a price starting 1990 in India. Now this device is the first device in India to come with a snapdragon, 768 g outscore processor.

It has android 11 a 64, megapixel uh, triple camera setup, and you get a 120 hertz uh IPS LCD panel and a 4400 my capacity battery, and you get a 55 watt fast charging included. So how good is the device uh in this price segment? That's what we are going to talk about in this detailed review so before getting into the detailed aspect. If this is your first step on this channel, do hit that subscribe button and also hit the bell icon to get notified of all the videos we publish. So let's get started with the detailed aspect. First, let's look at the design and build quality.

Now, looking at the design, you can see that the ICO z3 comes with a gradient color, and you get a curved design in the back panel now uh. If you look at the design aspect, this isn't anything like a standout design or a design which isn't seen before it's kind of standard design, uh it. It has a vertical camera layout, IQ, branding the gradient layout. Everything looks quite similar to a few of the other smartphones out there, so nothing outstanding in terms of design. But it's a pretty good-looking device out there now the front panel.

You can see that it has a water drop. Now, that's something which uh at this price segment. Many have uh mentioned that it should have been a punch hole display rather than a water drop. Notch kind of water drop. Notch is kind of slightly older technology.

So that's one thing which I could have done better here now: the display and the bezels are also kind of minimal and uh. Overall, you can see that the side mounted fingerprint scanner and the power button is integrated and the volume rocker keys everything looks quite okay, the very distribution, the slimness in terms of design, I would say it's quite a good-looking device out there, nothing outstanding, but definitely a good looker and in terms of build quality. This is made of polycarbonate material. But overall we found that this isn't a bad, build quality uh in terms of overall fit and finish. It actually feels quite good, and even in our uh one and a few weeks of usage, we do not see any sort of scratches happening.

So that's something which is pretty good and build. Quality is kind of oafish, although we would have liked a glass finishing uh, because it is does give a bit of with more premiums to the device, but nevertheless this is a decent, looking device out there. So next, let's move on to the display now, as I said before, we have a water drop, no notch on the display. That is some something which I could have done better. It should have been a punch or selfie camera.

Now the display is an IPS LCD panel. It's a full HDM resolution display, and it is supporting 120 hertz, refresh it now 20k or like 22k. We expect most of the smartphones to come with AMOLED display. Now this is a 120 hertz differentiate, but it's an IPS LCD panel, not that IPS LCD panels are bad or inferior, but this quality uh isn't something which we expect at a 20k price segment, but nevertheless this is a decent display altogether, the touch response is pretty smooth. It's a vibrant display and even 120 hertz gives a bit of smoother experience on this uh device, but we would have liked an emulated panel, at least at this price segment.

Now this device also comes with a drag and glass protection which is kind of a decent protection offered on the display. So, overall we feel the display isn't bad, nor it's a superior display, it's kind of a pretty good or average kind of display at this price segment. Now next, let's talk about the software, so uh VIVO's fun to choice.11.1 is the one powering the ICO, c3 now a funded choice. We have seen on a lot of vivas devices. It's a pretty smooth experience and uh the new funder choice brings in a lot of features.

Additional tools are included. Now, if you look at the settings panel, you can see that a lot of additional tools included like a dynamic effects for uh animations. Then you get ultra game mode. Then, in terms of additional options, s capture is there smart split, screen, smart motion. Uh then face beauty for video calls one one-handed mode, so a lot of features are included in the UI, and it's a feature-rich, UI and uh.

In terms of software experience, we feel it's quite a good experience, although there are some bloatware included in the UI which VIVO or other I could have removed, but this device does come with a lot of pre-installed apps. Most of these are uninstallable, so that is the software experience next moving on to the performance, so this device is the first device in India to come with the Qualcomm snapdragon 760 HD processors. Now you can see the snapdragon 760 GE has a benchmark score of around 400 lux, which is again a pretty good. Now the performance is perfect on this device, hardly any hiccup sites. It's a pretty uh powerful chip at this price segment around the 20k price segment, and it comes with a gigabyte run so uh the performance is pretty smooth even day-to-day usage.

We did not see any sort of lag or issues, and if you look at the gaming experience, it was definitely above average experience uh. We have done a detailed gaming video of this device. You can also check out that video. We did not see any sort of heating or throttling happening, but again it's a pretty good device for gaming as well, not a very high-end device, but again for a 20k price segment. We feel this is a decent experience overall in terms of gaming experience.

Now this device comes with a side mounted fingerprint scanner. Now, as usual, the fingerprint scanner and the face unlock is pretty smooth on this device. So VIVO is known for pretty fast fingerprint scanner and face unlock, and this is no different. It's a very smooth experience all around. So that's the fingerprint scanner and the face unlock, but this device comes with 5g support.

There are only two bands supported and uh, uh, probably that's the band that most of the OEMs are expecting to come. So we are not really sure whether this will support all the bands uh when 5g launches in India that we don't have clarity. But as of now there are two bands supported and the signal strength is pretty good. We tried with Jio and Vodafone idea and uh we couldn't. We could see that pretty good experience overall now the call quality is again good and sound output is uh pretty good from these speakers.

It's not the best out there again decent experience in terms of sound output as well. The next is the camera, so you get a triple uh camera setup. We have a 64 megapixel primary camera, it's a Samsung, GW 3 sensors, and you get an ultra-wide angle, camera and a macro sensor, and you get a selfie camera. Now we have done a detailed camera review of this device. What we found was the saturation levels are on the high side throughout the camera, experience, whether it's a daylight shots ultra-wide or the macros or portraits or even the night mode.

Uh. The saturation levels are something which isn't that great, so ICO should be working on this, but otherwise its camera is definitely an above average camera. The device also comes with 4k at 60 fps support, one of the few devices having 4k 60 fps. There is as on the offer for a few of the formats, and we feel it's a decent camera out there, not the best. Definitely saturation issue is something which needs to be fixed there.

So that's one area, uh AIK should be working on, so otherwise camera is kind of okay and selfie. Experience is pretty good. That's one area where ICO has done a pretty good job. The selfie experience is pretty good on this device. So that's the camera aspect now.

Finally, the battery life so uh, this device comes with a 4400 my capacity battery and 55 watt charging and charging takes around 55 minutes to complete and the battery uh performance is pretty good. We have been using this device for almost like one and a half weeks, and battery life is perfect. Even if you use for heavy usage, you can still easily get a day of battery life, and if you are a moderate user, you can get slightly more than a day of battery life, which is pretty much possible again. Screen on time depends upon person to person and again the apps which you are using. So again it varies.

So, ideally, you can get slightly more than a day of battery life, which is pretty good for a 4400 my capacity battery. So that is the detailed aspects about the IQ z3. So should you buy it now? ICO z3 uh comes with a good uh, uh good, looking uh design uh build quality is quite okay.120 hertz infrastructure does give a good experience with smooth experience and performance is good. Software is kind of okay and battery life is good. Now, a couple of areas where uh this device was kind of not that great one was the IPS LCD panel.

We would have liked the name it panels, then second, one would be the camera experience. Uh camera experience needs to be improved. That's one area where uh it should be improved. We expect ICO to roll out some updates um to fix the saturation issues, but otherwise it's a decent package out there for 19, triple nine or rather 99.90, and you get some discounts uh, uh during the first sale or uh initial day sale. So you can get almost like this device for almost 7 500 rupees.

That's a pretty good deal for a snapdragon 768 g chip and a decent overall experience. So that's the detailed review of the IQ c3 hope you enjoyed watching this video do hit that like button and also hit the red subscribe button for more videos, thanks for watching hope to see in our next video have a great day.
