BlackBerry KEYone Review: The Best BlackBerry since the Bold!

I really dig the design of the BlackBerry key1, it's a little chunky, but it's all metal has a rubber back, and it feels like a true premium device. This is something I couldn't save for the BlackBerry Print I honestly haven't felt a phone like this from blackberry since the BlackBerry Bold, the keyboard is much better than the one on the privets not as cramped, and the fingerprint sensor is embedded into the space bar, which I feel is genius. It's accurate and it's fast. In fact, the keyword has so many gestures baked into it. You can get away without touching the screen. Most of the time you can scroll through web pages by swiping up and down bind every single letter on the keyboard to a custom application, and you can even swipe back to delete text.

The list goes on. It's truly a power users dream, oh, and if that's not enough, there's even a convenience key on the right side that can be bound to any application. You want now I personally, don't like the placement of it. I find myself hitting it by accident quite too frequently, there's a headphone jack, but it's on the top I personally prefer it on the bottom and the sound is coming out through a mono speaker which gets really loud. It's not water-resistant and that's fine.

It's not in that premium price range, but there is a micro SD card slot to increase your storage. So what is it actually like to use a blackberry and a physical keyboard on a daily basis? Well, I've been using the key one for a couple of weeks and my typing on it has improved, but I, don't think I'll ever type as fast as I can on a virtual one, but because there is a physical keyboard. Every time I write an email or a message: I get to view the entire screen, as opposed to having half of it being covered by a virtual version. Therein a trade-off, though, and that's the not so common 1080 by 60 and 20 resolution or 3 by 2 aspect ratio. This means you'll get those pesky black bars when watching videos.

Black bars on a 4.5-inch screen makes the screen feel tiny. This phone is more well suited for getting work done rather than entertainment, but the screen itself is sharp. The colors are nice, and it's pretty bright for an LCD panel, there's a bit of an edge on each side too, and just the Galaxy S8. You can swipe to the left to get access to your contacts, calendars tasks and events. Now I usually find myself talking about specs, less and less with mid-range to flagship devices.

Just because we're at the point of the hardware is more than capable to provide a greater user experience. The same holds true here inside it's using a Snapdragon 625 with three gigabytes of RAM, which is a very similar set up to the Motor's at play. But I saw the motors that play to be a much more fluid experience. It can get a bit laggy when loading apps and browsing the web, but because it's still pre-production software there will be an update going out that will hopefully speed things up. I did find another glitch with the software when a notification comes, and you don't immediately see it in a notification panel when you unlock the device it takes about a good second to ?, to refresh it's not a big deal, but it's something that should be fixed in a future update.

Speaking of software, it's on Android 7.1.1, as you'd expect by now. There's a lot of stock shining through, but Blackberry does have its customizations I enjoy their software. It's useful, like blackberry, hub and there's a few tweaks to make it feel more like a blackberry. The additional security is an added bonus and to detect software doubles up and monitors your device. So some of you may or may not know this, but the camera inside the blackberry q10, that's inside the Google Pixel.

It's the Sony IMF 378 sensor with an aperture of f2. You would expect the pictures to be exactly the same, but the pixel still does a better job due to the way the software processes the image- it's not to say the key one camera isn't good because it actually is its just not on par with the pixel. Later this week, I'm going to have a full comparison with this phone and a couple of others to provide you guys with some context, I find it much easier to see how good a camera is when compared to others, then simply just showing you some photos from one camera. Only so make sure you sub to the channel and hit the notification Bell. So the best thing about this phone is the insanely epic battery life.

I honestly haven't had battery like this good upon any phone in a very long time. There's a 3505 William battery Maiden I was getting screen-on time of eight hours with 26% battery life left. This was consistent. This phone can easily pull off 10 hours of screen on time and 2 to 2.5 days of use, and you find yourself getting low. There's quick charging to get you topped off, but unfortunately there's no wireless charging all right.

So here's my closing thought the blackberry, q10 stall, Jun of BlackBerry's past and meshing it well with the future. It has insane battery life a great camera, a good keyboard, a good display and a nice design. The only areas I felt it needs improvement is the performance. Blackberry needs to tweak the software to speed things up. This phone is obviously not for me or probably most of you.

This is a business device first and perfect for people who want to get done. More importantly, is something different from what's out there right now so, asthma? What do you guys think of the BlackBerry key one? Is this something you can see yourself buying? Are you excited about it, or do you think it's a business only device I want to hear what you guys have to say in the comments below? Thank you so much for watching this video. If you enjoyed it, feel free to hit that like button. If you're new to the channel subscribe, and I'll see you in the next video.
