Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (41mm & 45mm) Unboxing & First Impressions!

Hey guys how's it going in this video we're going to be doing an unboxing, and I'm going to give my first impressions on the Samsung Galaxy watch 3. These are on sale as of today I'll have links down in the description below. If you want to check it out for yourself price on these are 399 dollars for the 41 millimeter size and 429 for the 45 millimeter size, starting off with the boxes here. This is definitely a step-up from Samsung. Then last year, with the galaxy watch active 2 and this tiny little square box that wasn't all too appealing. This definitely has a better overall look to it on the side.

Here we have our sizes and model types, so these are both Bluetooth models. There are also LTE models, and they are also going to be titanium models which will be more expensive. The colors we have here been the mystic bronze in the 41 millimeter size and the black in the 45 millimeter size. But enough talk. Let's go ahead and check out the galaxy watch.

Three: let's see what else we get in the box have a very long, Samsung pamphlet. So on one end we have our quick start guide and paperwork and then, on the other side of that long box, we have our charging cable, and this is no different from the galaxy watch active 2. We have an USB an on one end, and then we have the charging pad on the other end, but these can also be charged on the back of the latest Samsung smartphones, in addition to compatible wireless chargers. But now let's go ahead and check out these galaxy watch threes man, you don't even have to take it out of the box to see how nice these really look in person. Let's go ahead and boot.

These up galaxy watch three, taking an initial look here at the size difference. This is a 1.1 or 1.2 inch, AMOLED display and on the right here. The 45 millimeter has a 1.4 inch, AMOLED display and just for quick point of reference, some of Samsung's previous watch sizes, the galaxy watch active 2, which I've been using for the past 10 months or so has a 44 millimeter size and one of the older. But one of my favorite models, the gear s3 frontier. This is the big boy, 46 millimeters, and really what I'm hoping for here out of this 45 millimeter model is to have a perfect middle ground between this 44 millimeter galaxy watch, active 2 and the big boy here, the gear s3 frontier, and it's also going to be bringing the rotating bezel, which I'll give you a quick sound bit of that now, and it has some resistance to it, which I actually like, so you're, not accidentally over scrolling or when you're.

Looking through all your notifications and such it's going to be pretty easy to just get that single click, and you're not going to accidentally go over to more options compared to the gear s3 frontier, which it's rotating bezel, is almost loose feeling in comparison and just really glides across. So I like that, it's a little more resistant in that rotating bezel and taking a quick, dedicated look at the mystic bronze galaxy watch 3. This is the new color of all of their new galaxy products on my camera. Here it's coming out as a tan, is color, but in person here the band itself has more of a pinkish hue to it, and this mystic bronze color does look really nice. It shines all over and this is definitely a very stylish piece of tech.

So when you boot these up for the first time and take out your phone you're going to get your notification for a new device has been detected. So we're going to go ahead and add these to our phones, all right, so the 45 millimeter watch paired much faster, so we're going to shift the mystic bronze 41 millimeters off to the side. So when you pair up you're going to get congrats on your new galaxy watch, three we're going to go ahead and link up we're going to skip the additional features. We're going to skip our backup for now, you're going to get it all set, enjoy your new watch. So if you're at all familiar with the galaxy wearable app, this will be a very similar experience as to other galaxy wearables.

There are lots of settings and configurations you can do from the app itself that will transfer over to the watch and some of these settings. You can also change on the watch directly, but sometimes it might be easier to just hit a setting on your phone, and there are some other advanced settings here that are going to allow you to have a lot of customization for this watch. All right. App aside and taking a look at the galaxy watch.3 now take a look around turn the bezel clockwise for widgets. So turning this bezel, the rotating bezel, will allow you to switch between all of your apps going to the left or counterclockwise will bring up your notifications.

So if you have text messages or emails and such the upper right key will be your back button. So that'll take you back to whatever screen you were previously on and then the bottom right will be your home key, which will just take you back to your home screen, or it'll. Take you to your different apps that you can select from that screen and, lastly, you can swipe down from the top- and this is going to be your quick setting options and then to quickly turn off the watch. Just slap your hand right on top, and it's going to turn off the screen for you, and you can also navigate this watch by just using your gestures of your finger. You don't have to use that rotating bezel, but I would say if you want to reduce fingerprints and such then maybe get used to using that rotating bezel and honestly, it just feels so good to use this every time.

This is just such a sturdy and great feeling watch you're going to really enjoy pretty much every time you come into interaction with this watch. The buttons on the side stick out a bit, but honestly it gives it a pretty cool, look and the buttons do feel nice to press and so far here, just general navigation. Everything is just super quick. This feels quicker than my galaxy watch active 2 that I've been using for almost the last year or so here. This is really looking good here, very smooth navigation, very easy to get to and from your quick toggle screen.

I use this all the time on my watch active 2 to quickly turn on and off they do not disturb, and, of course, the settings extend just from these quick settings. You can go into other options here, such as your battery settings. If you want to extend your battery life of your watch, one that I use a lot here too, is the brightness which you can very easily just toggle. It's also very easy to change your watch face on these just hold down on the center screen, and you're going to be given a ton of different watch faces to choose from. I think I heard something crazy.

Like there's 90 000 watch faces available on the watch here, there's already a ton of options to choose from. Of course, you have a customize button. You can do further customization. This basic one with basic information is one that I had on my gear s3 and if you want to get a little more flora, there are those options as well. Of course, you can also go into this option here and look at a bunch at once.

You don't have to scroll through one at a time here we have the galaxy s20 ultra background, and you can see at the end. You can go right to the galaxy store and probably take a look at a bunch more of watch faces, but this here honestly, will be perfectly sufficient for me. Let's go ahead with this design here. This looks pretty cool. This gives you all your information, and I'm sure, if you go into here and select customize, you can see here color 1 of 15, so there's definitely a ton of different colors.

You can choose from you can easily just scroll through with the rotating bezel, and then you can swipe over, and you can change various parts of each watch face. So there is a ton of customization here not going to have time for it in this unboxing video, but we'll definitely cover this further in our final review, all right, let's go ahead and try on the watch for the first time so putting on the watch for the first time. This is definitely a comfortable fit. This does seem to be a pretty good sturdy feel here and using that rotating bezel. While the watch is on your wrist, it just feels perfect.

The animations here just seem quicker. It's really smooth, of course. This is to be expected from a watch at this price. This is just an all-out watch. In addition to all these other basic features we've been looking at and going over.

This has more of the latest smartwatch feature, such as measuring your blood oxygen levels, measuring your blood pressure, in addition to electrocardiogram readings, and this stuff is approved by the FDC. This is all legit. We have fall detection, all sorts of other features that we'll get into further in our full review, all right, also taking a look at the mystic, bronze, color and 41 millimeter size on the wrist. I feel like you can't really tell from the videos that I've seen so far, at least it's kind of hard to tell the size. I feel like looking at it here from my camera perspective and looking at it here in person that there is definitely a size difference.

It just might be harder to tell on video, but this is definitely a smaller size, but that's not a bad thing. This screen size is still plenty sufficient. You can see everything great here, but the 1.1 1.2 inch AMOLED display still looks just as good colors. Still all great, you have all of your same exact features here, as we just showed on the 45 millimeter model. The look of this band here is much nicer than what I had on my galaxy watch active 2.

Of course this is better for activities and workouts and such so. If they do come out with bands like this, for the galaxy watch 3, I wouldn't hesitate to buy those now one physical difference. I did actually notice here between the 41, millimeter and 45 millimeters. You can see here on the 41 millimeter size. It is a smooth overall finish on the bezel and on the 45 millimeter model.

Here you can see some ridges here on the edges similar to that of the gear s3 frontier, but definitely not as extreme as this one either way. It looks fine to me, and this is more of a minimalistic design. So if that's something you're after here, then the 41 millimeter in the mystic bronze may be your choice, but to finish out this video, I'm actually going to show a couple different perspectives here of this watch and how it looks with different types of clothing if you're wearing something a little nicer, you're wearing a button-down shirt or a suit, or something like that. This is what you can expect from the looks of the watch with that on and then also just some straight-up black against this mystic bronze color. I thought that would be a cool thing to also show off.

Overall, though, these watches feel extremely nice first impressions. I am super impressed with these watches. I don't think anybody expected any different. This entire line of new Samsung products. They look super premium.

They look to be super well-made if you have the 400 or so dollars to spend on a smartwatch, and you're in the market for a new smartwatch that is going to give you everything you could possibly ever want. Then this galaxy watch 3 is going to be an excellent option, but, as I do with all Samsung smartwatches, I'm going to put these through their paces test them out for a solid week or so and give you a full in-depth review of every aspect of these galaxy watches. So if you don't want to miss that, then make sure you subscribe to the Shane Simon's YouTube channel today and hit that bell icon for the notifications, so that you don't miss that video but be sure to.
