Before You Pre-order the Pixel 5 or Pixel 4a 5G - What you need to know

So this morning, google held their launch night in event, uh yeah, I know, but they announced a lot of new techs, some really cool things, and this video we're going to focus specifically on the phones, the smartphones, those new pixels, so a Pixel 4a 5g and a pixel 5. What does that mean for you? How does that shake out for the end of the year and everything else coming out? I'm going to explain it. Let's get into the details, hey if these videos have helped you if this news these updates, this information helped you please consider hitting us with the thumbs up hitting that subscribe and hitting that notification bell. So you get the updates when we upload the newest content. So let's bring those pixels in focus. Here are the details for you on what they've announced and what it's going to mean for you, the pixel 5, that's the flagship, the big daddy phone, that is, a phone that is going to weigh in at 4080 William hours for the battery.

Google is saying that this is the largest battery. Yet actually, in both phones- and you know- there have been some controversy in the past with the battery life of the pixel phones, but to hedge their bets. With this huge 4080 William hour battery, Google has included something called extreme battery saver, which will limit the phone to only the essential running services and the apps you choose to run as well. So the rest of the specs on the Google Pixel 5 you're, going to get eight gigabytes of ram 128 gigabytes of non-removable storage, you're, going to get a six inch, full HD, plus OLED display running at 90 hertz. For that super buttery smooth scrolling.

Now they always do great job with their user interface. So it's pretty smooth to begin with, but the 90 hertz is just going to make it that much smoother. In addition to that, you're going to get a double camera system with a 12 megapixel camera and a 16 megapixel ultra-wide camera you'll also get stereo speakers and no audio jack on the pixel 5. It'll be available in either black or a color they're calling sorta sage. Now the 4a 5g, instead of being a 5g version of the 4a, is really a 200.

Less version of the five in the 4a 5g you're, going to get the same. Snapdragon 765, uh g processor you're also going to get the same camera system. What you aren't going to get is the same battery you're also going to get a 60 hertz refresh rate instead of 90, but you do get stereo speakers and an audio jack, and, judging by the comments on many of our previous videos, I think this one is going to hit the sweet spot for many of you. You can always let us know. Are you 4a 5g? Are you going for the pixel 5? Let us know in the comments below so Google is betting, big on computational, photography and AI.

So, instead of giving you a phone with the top of the line, specs top of the line processor, all that they're really betting on features in a covered world, they're really betting on the fact that their computational photography and this camera system with some new tricks is going to put them above the crowd. And it may just do that. So what they announced is this. Both phones are going to have the same camera as I said before, that will take HDR, plus HDR live photos and they've also introduced night sight into their portrait mode photos. So now you can take those photos with that beautiful background blur even in low lit conditions, and they've also introduced something called portrait light which will allow you to light up darker areas of a portrait mode photo making your photos more pleasing, and since this is a.

I, it will also work on older photos going back, and they're also working on upping their video game. They've introduced something called cinematic pan which essentially takes the panning motion of you panning your phone. It slows it down and introduces uh image stabilization. That's going to supposedly give you a very smooth, panning and tilting sway, yaw, all those things it's supposedly just going to make it so that when you're at the beach frolicking or doing whatever else, you may do when you frolic it will make that those motions much smoother and much cleaner, we'll see how that all stacks up. But I do know that in some of my previous tests, specifically when I tested the pixel 4, I was very impressed with the night sight, with their night mode, uh photography and how well it did compare to phones which cost much more.

So I'm really looking forward to putting the pixel 5 through its paces and seeing, if Google's flagship, how well it will stand up to other flagships and speaking of how well it's going to stand up fascinating. The price point of 699 for the pixel 5 puts it right in competition with phones like Samsung's s20 fan edition and potentially OnePlus 8t, which has not had its price announced. Yet, but there's speculation on the internet that it will arrive at somewhere around 750 and given google's release and given Samsung's release. I'm going to bet I'm going to guess, I'm going to speculate here that the OnePlus 8t will probably fall in that same price point at 6.99, we'll see, and one of those AI features that google is so good about doing on. Their phones are a new feature called hold for me, which will allow you to when you dial a toll-free number a business number like that, and they put you on hold Google Assistant will now allow you to not have to monitor the phone, and it'll opinion.

Let you know when somebody jumps on the line that is pretty much the meat of what they announced with both the pixel 5 Pixel 4a. Like I said, OnePlus 8 has a launch event October 14th, where they're going to announce some newness um, you have the Samsung fan edition and, of course you still have the iPhones coming out. So there's a lot of coming out that it's going to be interesting to see how well the pixel, 5 and 485g stack up in light of everything else coming out toward the end of this year, highly impressed with the pixel 4 I was. I did not mean to sound like Yoda, but hey here. We are um highly impressed with that.

So we'll see it may just be that the cameras on this phone are enough to get it to stand out against the competition and make it your choice.
