Apple Watch SE Vs Apple Watch Series 3! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone time to do another watch comparison between the Apple Watch Series, 3 and the Apple Watch. Se now, what's hilarious is that apple is still selling. Both these watches, obviously DSC, which is on my right, is the brand new one, but the Apple Watch Series 3 came out in 2017 and Apple is still supporting it and still selling it, which is really impressive. So technically, the series 3 is the cheapest watch apple makes, but the SC is also you know, a really new, cheaper watch that apple has made, and I'll go ahead and leave both of these linked down. In the description below, I think the Apple Watch Series 3 is like less than 200 dollars. The Apple Watch SC is 279 dollars so again links in the description you can help support the channel.

At the same time, if you buy from there and now that the video is from iOS 14, those views are going down. I need to make some more money now, obviously starting off with the front. First, the size wise. This is the biggest model of the series three, so the 42 millimeter one- and this is the smallest model of the SC. So this is the 40 millimeter one and side by side.

You can see dude, surprisingly they're kind of the same as if I had to use a series 3. This one is just a little bigger and way thicker than this than the SC, and I'll go ahead and kind of get into the app panel. So you can kind of see the screen, size difference and like for sure, there's pros and cons for both. I would definitely take the bigger screen to body ratio on the SC than the thicker bezels on the series 3, even on a day-to-day basis. Now the biggest difference I think comes in terms of the thickness, so you can see that the series 3 is definitely way thicker than the SC, and I really do like how that c is built.

I don't like that thickness. That comes with the series 3. If I'm being honest now, I'm sure this smaller series 3 has a little less thickness, but you know comparing these two: the thickness on the SC is way thinner than the thickness on the series 3. If that makes any sense and on the back they're built pretty much exactly the same for the most part, you know the wireless charging pad and everything and on the side right here where the digital crown is as well as the power button. You have this pretty much the same type of capability there too.

Now both of these do have the force touch display. But it's like, I guess, like not forced touch anymore. They also have a thousand its brightness. They also have the 50 meters water resistance, so you can dip these in water and pretty much be safe. So, in terms of that they're kind of built, you know primarily the same again, there's some bigger differences, but I think for the most part, you know when it comes down to the ultimate like longevity and everything in terms of the build quality they're, both kind of built, the same have the same things, but the sea, I think, is the better built one, because it is way thinner and also just you know, in my opinion, has a better looking screen because of this bigger screen to body ratio.

Both of these do not have in any always on display, so I guess they're pretty much the same, build there too, and in terms of that really pretty much covers up the outside the main differences in terms of the software experience, though this is where things are a little different. So on the series 3, this thing has the apple s3 chip inside it, which is the same chipset as the Apple Watch Series 3. So there's nothing else to kind of compare to now. I'm pretty sure this is probably going to get like one more version of watch OS, maybe two, and then it's going to get done so on the Apple Watch Series. Three we're pretty much done here.

I think it's like I said it's going to get one more, and then we are pretty much out of luck after that which is kind of sad, because I think this watch could really handle. You know more versions of software, but there's really nothing. We can do considering the Apple Watch Series 2 is about to be. You know, unsupported very soon, probably so it's probably going to get done very, very soon. Now, on the Apple Watch SC.

On the other hand, this watch has the apple s5 chip inside it, which is the same one as the Apple Watch Series 3. Now, because of that, we basically have you know a bigger and better chipset inside it, making it faster, but also longevity of the support of this phone of this Apple Watch is probably going to be more than what we're getting on the Apple Watch Series 3. , even though you can buy both of these brand new from apple you're, going to be getting the longer support, and probably the better software experience on the Apple Watch SC than over the Apple Watch Series 3. So when it comes down to the software longevity yeah, you can buy both of these brand new from the Apple Store, but the SC is probably going to be lasting longer than the Apple Watch Series 3. So keep that in mind, I'm not going to sit here and say the Apple Watch Series 3 is going to be discontinued tomorrow, but probably within the next year or two, this one's going to be discontinued with the Apple Watch, as it is probably going to last the next year or two above the series three, so that really pretty much covers it up in terms of the software experience there now I'll go ahead and do a little of a speed test between them, which is going to turn out really, really bad, because I've been doing it for a little and I always mess it up, and it takes me 40 minutes to get everything set up.

So let's go, and I guess do a speed test between them. Now, as you can see, I have all the apps right here, and I guess I have to go ahead and sign out of all these, which is going to take 40 minutes now signing out of them. I mean it seems kind of the same experience too, like it doesn't really look like one is way faster than the other one here. So I guess that's like an additional speed test. I guess so we're done on both.

So let's go ahead and get into the app panel and let's start loading these apps up, let's load up the app store, that's a really, really good one to start off with three two, and I'm about to mess this up. Three, two one! Okay, as you can see, actually now this one loaded, but I had signed out of all the apps didn't I, so I don't know what happened there. It looked like I was signed out of it, but I'll go ahead and restart it, because there's no way the SC was that slow compared to the series three, so the app store again, three, two one yeah. I don't know what's going on with this one, so the SC was on the right. The series on the left- and this is usually not this fast- so I'm not really to sure what happened.

It's usually not that fast scrolling through, though you can see yeah they both are kind of the same getting into here. Sc is faster and that's kind of what I was expecting because that's what I saw yesterday on the series 6 comparison and this time they both look kind of the same when you're scrolling through, but when it came down to the actual opening speeds. The series three was definitely slower there for sure getting into the news panel. Three two one now this is probably going to be different on both yeah, because we still have to get this preparing thing, and eventually we do get into it, which I think would have been faster than the series three going to go ahead and do music three two one, and again it looks like it's faster on the series three, which is so weird I don't know what's going on here, the scene was a little slower. That's actually astounding to me: let's get into the calculator three two one, and again I don't know what's going on with the series three, it's like superfast.

In my opinion, it doesn't seem like it closed out of the apps that I got into, but, as you can see, it did, which is very weird. So I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, I don't think so, because I've used a lot of apple watches, and it was working yesterday. So I don't know, what's going on today we can go and get into stocks or whatever. This is three two ones. Okay, SC is faster series three still taking this time, and I think this is the speed difference we're expecting to see between all the apps.

I don't know what's going on here. Maybe I have to go click out. Okay, I don't know, I'm not really to sure what happened there, but whatever happened. We can go and get into like the workout three two one and again the series three was actually pretty fast there too. So maybe it is the series three actually being faster.

I don't know what it is. We can go and do calendar three, two one. Okay, maybe the series three was a little faster there too, so I'm not really to sure what to make of it. I definitely do think you know there's pros and cons for both, but it looks like the series three was faster than the SC, but yesterday. For some reason the s8 was pretty slow.

The series three was really slow yesterday, so I don't know what happened against the series six. So I guess it is what it is, but that was actually very, very interesting. I wasn't expecting to see this big of a speed difference between them, so let me go and hit on the battery life between them, and I'll go ahead and sum up this comparison. Now the series three Apple Watch. I have had I've used for a little and I can tell you it usually made it through a day.

I think the series 2 had pretty bad battery life, but the series 3 was actually pretty good. Furthermore, I would say it was better than the series 2, but I think the Apple Watch SC is probably going to have the better battery life between them. Now the biggest difference, I think you know, between the series 6 and the SC- is obviously the always-on display and that new blood oxygen level and with the lack of those things you actually tend to have better battery life with fewer features so with SC you're going to have pretty good battery life for the series 3, I think, is good enough for the most part, I think, like I said before, the SC will get you from point a to point b, but also you have to keep in mind that, with the series 3 it's cheaper, I understand you know you're going to have a better experience because there's a cheaper, the little device or whatever, but I still think the SC is probably going to get you the better battery life at the end of the day. So, to kind of sum up this comparison and answer the question you know which specific Apple Watch. Should you pick up now, starting with the series 3, I think, if you're somebody who honestly can't spend any more money, possibly you can't spend any more money on the SC.

Then I think getting the series.3 is still good enough for a majority of people. It's a perfect watch. It's fast, as you guys saw it'll get you from point a to point b. You can track a lot of different things and I think if you're somebody in the market who wants to you know just use a smaller Apple Watch or whatever or use a thicker one, and you're okay, you don't care about. You know the speed and performance or the new chipsets or the software longevity you just want to watch that'll work.

Then I think the series 3 is perfectly fine for you, but I think for a majority of people and getting the Apple Watch, SC is probably the better way to go. It's going to be faster on top of that you're going to be getting a longer. Software support, you're going to be getting more software you're going to be getting a better software experience in my opinion, and it should be faster. I don't know what happened here, but you know, I guess that's a good thing for the series three. So it's a fast smooth device as well.

It's newer! It's going to be lasting longer, and it's not that much more expensive than the base model series three, so that's kind of how I would sum this comparison up, so if you guys have any other questions or anything, let me know in the comment section below hit the like button on me so much, but definitely hit that subscribe button, every single subscriber that we get really discount.
