Apple iPhone 12 Pro Long Term Review- ALMOST GREAT

After using the iPhone 12 Pro regularly for over eight months, I wanted to share my thoughts with you guys and if you should buy it now or wait for the much anticipated iPhone 13 series and if you do end up liking. This video consider showing support by subscribing the iPhone 12 Pro's design and build, are something I love. The design is a departure from apple's previous iPhones that were all curvy. The 12 pro has these sharp edges, and this golden color is something I've grown to like a lot now, although I would have preferred a mad side railing, just like the iPhone 12, the shiny side railing has held up pretty well, even without a case now. The phone is a bit heavy at 184 grams, but it's something you don't notice after using it for a while. The button placement is great, and I never knew I missed out on the ringer silent switch button until I started using an iPhone overall.

The phone feels solid in the hand and basic phone functions such as Wi-Fi Bluetooth, call quality speakers and everything else has been working perfectly fine for me. Another great or, should I say, controversial aspect of this phone is the display now. Tech enthusiasts, including myself, did criticize apple for not using a 120 hertz panel on this phone, but I really haven't missed it, that much apple's smooth software transitions and the 120 hertz touch sampling rate make the display very responsive. Now I can only imagine how smooth the iPhone 13 pro would feel with the 120 hertz pro motion display. The one thing I would still criticize apple for is using the same notch as the iPhone 10.

It's good to know that apple is going to shrink the notch in the iPhone 13 series and maybe even use a hole punch in the 14 pro series next year, other than that. The display here is plenty sharp with great wing angles. HDR and Dolby Vision support along with ample brightness for outside use. Now some users did point out the dimming of the display as an issue after gaming or using the camera for too long, but I haven't faced such issues on my phone. The only subpar thing about the iPhone 12 Pro is its battery.

Life apple has always included a small 2850 million power cells in this phone, which will never last you a day unless it's with low usage with heavy usage, though the phone will need to be recharged in the evening. The only quote and code good thing about this phone is the support for 20 watt, fast charging, which is still slow when compared to other android phones. On top of that, I still can't forgive apple for starting the no charger in the box trend and wireless charging in the form of MagSafe is here, but I haven't used it at all, and the same goes for 5g as well. Now, let's hope the iPhone 13 has a larger battery, especially when it's going to pack that power, hungry 120hz, refresh rate display another thing. I've loved about this phone are the cameras.

It is actually the reason this channel exists at all. All reviews on this channel have been shot with the iPhone 12 Pro well, except for this one, which has been shot with a pixel 5. So let me know in the comments down below how the video quality of the pixel 5 looks and subscribe. If you don't want to miss the pixel 5 review coming next week, the camera of the iPhone 12 Pro takes some really amazing. Shots photos are crisp with bang on color accuracy and great dynamic range.

Selfies portrait, shots and night mode are all great as well. Now I do wish apple introduces an macrophotography mode in the iPhone 13 series, or just updates the iPhone 12 series to support it as well other than that video quality, as always, is amazing. Like I said, I have shot all reviews on this channel with the 12 pro and the versatility of shooting with an iPhone is really great. This phone can shoot in HDR as well, which, according to me, is pretty damn amazing. Now the iPhone 13 series is expected to get some serious upgrades in the video capabilities, and I for one, am really looking forward to that, and then we get to the software and performance now.

This is my first time using an iPhone specifically because I wanted to see how iOS feels and truth be told. It's not that bad. There are a lot of things I do miss from android such as customization the look and feel of stock android and always on display and some other minor features. But iOS 14 has been a delight to use iMessage FaceTime, the responsiveness of the software, the easy to navigate interface and even face ID has been amazing. I've always heard people talk about how iMessage or the ecosystem is the reason they can't leave apple and after using the iPhone 12 Pro.

I can understand why that is now. Furthermore, I don't own a lot of apple products, so I can move over to android whenever I wish, but using AirPods or even transferring music between the HomePod mini and the phone has been a breeze now, the best part about an iPhone is well the software support and from the looks of it, this phone will get iOS 19 as well. Maybe I can do another mini review in a couple of years now, performance as expected has been top-notch as well. The phone can handle any app and any game you throw at it without any hiccups and with the powerful a14 bionic chip inside. This is expected to be true for the next couple of years as well and as for whether you should buy it now or wait for the iPhone 13, I would definitely suggest waiting apple is likely to discontinue the 12 pro series when the 13 series comes out, and that should mean a price draw for the 12 series as well.

Now, if you're still in urgent need of a phone, I would suggest getting the iPhone 12 and saving a few dollars, and I'm also going to compare the 12 pro and the 12 soon so be sure to subscribe. For that, and as always, thanks for watching, and I'll see you guys in the next one.
