Apple iPad 9.7 6th Generation Impressions!

What's up everyone marker here from phone calm in my last video I, talked about the Apple Education event and the expectations that we could see at that Apple Education event. Well, it was less exciting than I thought it would be. We only got basically one brand-new product and a few new accessories, and that new product is, of course, it's upside down. The Apple iPad 9.7 inch, 6 generation or simply the iPad 6 generation. The price stays the same. If you are just a normal person at 3:29, if you're a student, and you want to buy an iPad for yourself, it's 309 and if you're an educator like a teacher or a school district 299- and there are a couple exclusive accessories- you can actually purchase that are currently not available to the public and probably won't be available to the public like the Logitech crown, which is the new Apple.

Pencil kind of like a baby brother about Logitech, has produced to work exclusively for the iPad, but you can still buy the Apple Pencil and still make it work on the iPad 6 generation. So we do now have Apple Pencil support on this new, and you know improved iPad. So generally, this is basically just a spec bump from the last generation iPad 9.7 inch. We have an 810 fusion processor, not be a 10x like you have on the iPad Pro. We have 2 gigs of ram slightly improved camera, but that's basically about it slightly smaller battery, but because the more efficient processor same 10-hour battery life same resolution, but we do have a slight new color, which is the brand-new gold.

Well, it's kind of like the same gold on the iPhone 8 and 8 plus, but it's now on the first iPad, it's the first new gold iPad with this color. So here it is basically the same. You know the camera still recessed, so it's not like the iPad pros would be kind of it's just weird anyway, but here is the brand-new iPad. The unboxing experience is pretty much the same. It's in clear plastic, unlike the iPad 2 pros, frosted plastic and in the box you get your standard of middle stuff.

You get a lightning connector! You get a Quick Start Guide and your Apple stickers and then your normal 10 watts or 12 watt charging the brick here in the States. We have the U. S. plug. You get.

Obviously your plug, whichever country you are part of we're live in. So here is the iPad in terms of size. Here is an iPad Pro 10 and a half inch. So to give you a size comparison, iPad Pro 10 and a half inch hears iPad nine point seven inches, so you can see it's definitely smaller footprint, but the bezels are sold smaller on the iPad Pro still the same kind of like downsides with the new iPad Pro or iPad nine point, seven inches, which is basically non laminated display, which means there's a slight air gap between the glass and the actual LCD unit beneath the glass, and you'll notice. It for sure.

If you look at it compared to the iPad Pro and the other con with the iPad nine point, seven inch display is you're, not gonna, get promotion or about 120 Hertz refresh rate, but you get on the iPad pros, but that's about it. In terms of specs I mean you do get less RAM slightly resin quad-core compared to a6 core processor, on the 10x fusion chip, but other than that I mean it. There's really not a lot different between the iPads and the iPad pros in terms of pure performance. We still get iOS 11, all the multitasking, all of a split view stuff. It's just a slightly different size.

I mean the normal iPad size, the normal resolution of 2048 by 1536, compared to a slightly bigger resolution on the iPad pros, because well obviously it's a bigger display, but in terms of pixel density and retina quality, it's the same I mean you do get the slightly better color gamut and accuracy on the iPad pros. Obviously it's a p3 panel. This is not, but I mean before p3 we always regarded the iPads to have the best displays. I mean this is still a very good display and the grand scheme of things I mean compared to a lot of other tablets. This is still a kick-ass display.

The iPad Pro just has a slightly better display than this iPad so go ahead and get it set up and do a quick rundown of what I think event so far, and I'll be right back alright, so I have the iPad 9 seven inches, six generation all set up, and I'm ready to give you kind of just my quick rundown about some feelings of this brand-new iPad in general. This is the best bang for buck. iPad you can buy period, I mean you can't touch the price per performance dollar of this iPad I mean even if you go to be iPad Pro, it's get marginally better specs, but in terms of the best performance for the least amount of money. This is where it's at iPad 9.7 at 329 or 309. If your student, you can't beat this for a 32, gig iPad, you could go up to 128 400 dollars more, and you could also get cellular, but you don't get that integrated.

Sim card that the iPad pros have, if you get the sell girl option, and you also get the ugly black thing instead of an integrated uh like I, can't really remember it's with the antenna band kind of thing on the iPad pros. You don't get that on this. The displays in terms of promotion- that's like my biggest thing is: it doesn't have promotion I totally get that if you use an iPad Pro you're gonna, miss it a lot. When you go to this iPad, the lamination, not honestly, you kind of forget about it: kind of notch on the iPhone 10, not a huge deal if you've never used an iPad Pro. But again, if you're coming for an iPad Pro you're mean again you're, probably not going to this iPad.

But this is your first iPad you're, not going to notice. I mean this. Plate is still beautiful. It's a beautiful, rich color, accurate display, yeah, you know, get to be three, but it's not a big deal, specs again: 810 fusion chip, two gigs of ram good storage options, and you honestly can't touch the iPad again with specs. In terms of this price range.

You do get a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front. It's not great, but it's not bad. You get a believe 7 megapixel camera on the back, or it's the same camera as the iPhone 6 mini it's an 8, megapixel camera I can't remember the exact 9 pixel counts on this. But generally again this is the best iPad. Now the downsides, better I think that really lacked on this.

iPad is Apple Pencil support which is now solved. You can use the Apple Pencil or, if you're an educator, you can use people I, detect crown for $49, and you still don't have smart connector options, which kind of still sucks I mean there is a Bluetooth keyboard, or you can still use Bluetooth keyboards iPads, you've been able to yet for the longest time, but there's something about having that physical, non battery reliant connection of the smart connector on the iPad Pro, which actually makes it a pretty good laptop replacement, because you never have to remember to charge up to things. Instead of one should charge up your iPad and you don't have to worry about a keyboard having a battery so kind of little tiny note about the iPad. It still doesn't support smart keyboard because there are no connectors on here, and it still does not support fast charging either. It's not the USB 3 connection, so you're still going to be charging at that 12 Watts max.

You can't plug it into like a super turbocharger and have it charged up in no time which is still kind of a downside. But again, most people won't really fret too much about it. So I mean again in terms of price. This is the best iPad you can buy in terms of specs for price. This is the best iPad you can buy if you want the best iPad, while you probably shouldn't wait until the new iPad pros come out later this year, but if you're on tight on time, iPad pearl is tough with the way to go, but again, if you're 99% of the people out there now I mean you there's nothing wrong with this iPad, it uses Apple Pencil.

You can still do all your stuff, and it's just a great device. I mean again. This is the best Apple product for the money. I think that they currently sell regardless I mean it's really capable has iOS 11, which you know. How does ups and downs it's its for me, it does a lot, and especially if now, folder integration and a lot of other stuff on here.

This really does make it a compelling product to replace your everyday Joe's. Computer or laptop I mean someone who's, not gonna, be doing hard core editing or hard core media production, then maybe an iPad does make sense, but for the rest of the people probably still do need a dedicated computer to do most of your tasks, if you're doing something in Direction world, if you're a drawer iPad way to go, I mean if you like, Apple Pencil you'll like this new iPad, she wants your review of the iPad 9.7 again. Not a lot has changed, make sure to hit that thumbs up button and leave me a comment below and generally tell me thoughts about the new iPad 9.7. Is it overwhelming he's underwhelming?
