5 Reasons iPhone 8 Plus is Still GREAT in 2020!

As, some of you may know, I recently picked up a used, iPhone 8 plus for a budget Apple ecosystem setup, video that I was doing, and, although I planned to do a proper folate review as of this year, with my speed, roll and in depth analysis, I have to admit this phone draws me to it. I've been playing around with it. I put my sim in it, despite the fact that I have the 11 Perl Max and the iPhone 11 and the brand-new Galaxy Z Flip. This phone still is a great value as of 2020 and today, I want to give you five reasons why that is, but before we continue here, I would really appreciate it. If you leave a like on this video comment, if you have any questions, suggestions or opinions as the YouTube algorithm likes that and will help push my content to more people, reason number one. Despite the fact that this phone has very thick and outdated top and bottom, you know forehead and chin bezels.

The 5.5 inch display on here is very much adequate in regard to its size. It's very comfortable to type on, as you can see here, I have enough room to comfortably press. The keys on this is the same width display wise as the 10s Max and the 11pro max. It's just you don't have the extra screen on the top and bottom here. So that's the only downside of the display and also before I forget to mention this display is 1080p.

Not quite you know 1440p, but it is sharp enough. You have a PPI are on 400, and this display also sports, true tone, which makes the colors look more natural, although my unit right here on that feature, got disabled, because this display was replaced by a third party and for those of you who will knock on this phone for not being 18 by 9, keep in mind. Most content on YouTube is 16 by 9, so this phone still is more than acceptable for consuming media. As of 2020 reason, number 2, this device can shoot 4k 60 video. It was one of the first to introduce it to the iPhone line and that's because of its processor, which we will actually talk about in this video but yeah.

If you are somebody who likes to take video with your iPhone, although this isn't the best iPhone anymore for video, you still have the 4k 60 capability with IS and apples, pretty decent image processing, even though it's like 2 years old, the video still looks pretty excellent for these phones, age and yeah. It's a great budget device. If you want to shoot video with your smartphone reason, number three: this phone can wirelessly charge and was one of the first iPhones that could, alongside the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 10, that launched in 2017 with they're glass backs and wireless charging is becoming an increasingly important feature in our increasingly wireless world, and it is a feature that I actually require my daily life for I, really, really like, because I can have this, for example, right next to my bedside. This is where this wireless charging pad usually lives and when I'm done using my phone at 4:00 in the morning as I watch, ticktock and YouTube I can just roll over and just place my phone right on here. So this is once again a very important and convenient feature, and it's nice that this rather budget iPhone as of right now has this feature reason number four: you can pick up this device for less than $400 to use it in some cases less than 300 or about 300 dollars.

As we can see on swapped. Here we have two listings for 292 and 306. Although I wouldn't recommend, you know scraping the bottom of the barrel, because I did that define this red iPhone, 8 plus and while it's basically perfect I mean the chassis is in pretty decent condition. The battery integrity is around 89% I received a unit with a third-party display which ended up disabling true tone. That was the only downside to buying this device, but other than that I'm very happy with what I got for the money and I think you will too, especially if you buy from an individual vendor and not like a conglomerate like I did that you know, buys a bunch of used phones for cheap and resells them via for what you're getting here in regard to its display and its performance, which I'm about to talk about.

I think this is a really decently priced budget iPhone. They should still definitely consider if you want an iOS device, and you don't have you know like $700 or more, to spend and last up reason number five. The silicon or the chip within this device is still very much comparable to the 812 and even the 13. In some regards here we still get really decent single core and multi-core scores, which will push a very excellent iOS experience. I have had absolutely no issues using this phone.

It is incredibly smooth even now, despite the fact that it doesn't have some newer features like the 120 Hertz input on the newer iPhone 11 and the if'n 11pro um. It doesn't stutter that often multitasking is still really nice with three gigabytes of RAM. As far as I can tell webpages load quickly. Everyday performance is still excellent. With this device and you're not going to notice really any slowdown.

Anything major at least of course, it's not going to be as fast as the newer iPhones, but still I'm, very impressed with the Geek bench scores that I'm seeing here. If we compared them to you know that of the a12 found on the iPhone 10s. We have 1100 for the iPhone 10s, and we have 930 here so not the biggest different point wise and if you know anything about Geek bench scores are at least you know, the synthetic score single core scores tend to reflect on how your device will fare in everyday tasks. So not too much different between the 10s and, of course, the iPhone 11 Pro on the iPhone 11 Pro max an iPhone 11 with the 13. Do you have a bit of an edge, but is it worth it? I mean for like 600, $700, more I, don't know, and if you're, not that person who will notice it, then this is definitely a phone that once again you should consider, especially because you can get it for fairly cheap now and that about wraps things up.

I hope this video helped you out expect my full late review of this device around the time the iPhone 9 comes out, because the price of the A+ will probably come down even more and possibly make it an even better value. Furthermore, I would really appreciate it once again.
