2020 Ipad 8th gen vs Microsoft surface go 2 speed test By Fred's Aquariums and electronics

Hey everyone, so this will be a comparison and a speed test here between the new 2020 Apple iPad, 8th generation and the newest version of the surface. Go which is the surface, go 2 from Microsoft. This has the m3 in it. This guy here, of course, has a 812 processor in it. So let's go over some quick specs and some differences here, and then I'll show off both device. Then we'll actually go into a speed test here, uh so actually.

First I want to talk about their geek bench 5 scores so for the iPad. It actually has 11 11 for single core and 24 24 for the multi. So it's very, very good, especially for a base model, iPad, a base model tablet and then for the surface here is actually less. It has 837 single and 1554 multi, so it's still decent numbers on it, but not as good as the iPad is going to be uh. For that now, like I said this has a 12 processor.

This actually has the m3, otherwise you can also get it with Pentium gold uh. Definitely I recommend, though, the m3 uh. This has eight gigabytes of ram 128 gigabytes of storage. You can expand that storage. This has three gigabytes of ram, and this one I have here are 32 gigabytes.

Otherwise, you can also get a one with 128 gigabytes of storage as well. Uh resolution wise, the iPad is gonna, be better. It has 264 PPI. The surface has 220 PPI uh. This is retinol.

This is pixel sense. They both have their own language. For that now, let's show off both these devices. Real, quick here, uh. So nice thing about the uh Microsoft here.

If you're going to be doing conference calls, is you do have the camera right in the middle, whereas on here, if you're holding it sideways, it'll be on the side of you there. This has front firing two speakers here on the side. You have your power button, your volume, rocker bomb. You do get a headphone jack, USB type c, and then there is your charging port right. There.

BOM is for the keyboard and underneath the awesome built-in stand, you do have a spot here for your expandable micro SD card, and this does have like. I just said the stand, which is very awesome: very nice have that built into the device, and you do actually have which is unusual for a computer uh back camera as well. There and we'll also do a speaker comparison as well here uh, so I said you have a front facing camera there. You have your home button here. Side.

Has your volume rocker uh? This is the gold version. It looks kind of silver in the uh video, but it is actually gold back. Has your back camera, of course the wrong color at the top right here. Has your power button, and you do also get a headphone jack uh. So you get the pros.

You will not have the headphone jack. I believe the new air does not either then you do have seen when you got the focus connector for the keyboard bomb. Is your dual speakers. Then this has a lightning adapter in it all right. Let's go ahead and get into the speed test here.

Let's see if we can find that problem, we're switching around different devices. Are you kind of lose track where the power button is all right, so these aspects ratios are actually pretty similar. This is 10 and a half inches. This is 10.2 inches in size. Here we're going to use safari, we're going to use Google Chrome this.

You have to double tap that you want to hit once first we'll go to bestbuy. com. If I can hit the correct thing there, both issues have been cleared. I am on the same internet, which is my home internet here. So the iPad is the winner on speed.

You guys, let me know which one you think is better I'll, let you know which one I think is faster and then this is of course an actual computer of the actual PC. This is, of course, a tablet. I'm about typing Garmin into both of these, both their on-screen keyboards work very nice actually, both about the same size as well. I do have, let's see which one loaded uh that was close, but I believe the iPad won there. Furthermore, I do actually have the keyboard for the Microsoft it's just off to the side.

Furthermore, I do not have the keyboard for the iPad I should mention. The keyboard is around 100 bucks or so extra on these the surface pen, which I also have to side here. I believe I paid about 75. It goes up to about 100, whereas you can use the Apple Pencil, the first gen on the apple, and that is 100 bucks as well go ahead and hit this, so Apple is going to win again there we go we're going to set the bioactive revival smart, for there see both of them are still. Loading apple is done.

Oh, that was about the same on that time. Let's go we'll just hit this overview. I don't know why. I can't see the entire thing on the uh Microsoft, but we'll go and write this at the same time. So both pretty responsive here all right go ahead.

Open up. Another tab go to Pok?mon. com, keep on missing that dot com tab, one two three, but you should open up the desktop site. So Apple is going to win a bit there as well, go ahead and hit flatiron here uh you guys what? If you guys watch this here, first, do it on this surface? Gives it a nice little motion and setting up the apple gives you that motion as well on android tablets. You do not get that nice motion, for whatever reason go up top here, we're going to hit Pok?mon vivid voltage.

I think this actually loaded a little quicker there, like I'm, not a second. So you see all these motions, you actually can see more on the surface than you can on the apple, and you see no stuttering or anything like that. So one more website here must man. I can't miss hitting that monsterhunter. com trying to knock at the camera monster hunter dot com.

One two: three all right, we'll have to redo that my friend masterhunt. com is much hunter, all right, um! I don't know which one won that time. I think this one said it was loaded first, but this one started playing the video first, okay they're, both very, very close. Again, you guys never played my starter highly recommend playing it. This is a little smoother.

I would say so. Let's go ahead and hit one more monster here this one. This one definitely won that time see the apple's a little smoother, though, when you're going up and down I'm going to YouTube. com on these, and we're going to hit in some royalty, free, music or show off the speakers. If I can type- and we are still using just the web browsers on these- let's start with this one, because it's very speakers are already on turn up all the way, and it is in 1080.

So not too bad sounding you do get some decent size, black bars on the bottom. There let's go to the iPad. Let's see is in 1080 at least it says it's in 1080 doesn't look like it is, but it says it is that's nice thing for screen all right, so I had to refresh it. I had to refresh it the uh because it was having some issues now, that's way better on this side, so I think apple sounds a tad bit better, but because they're, both on the same side, uh, where these are on either side. This it this kind of messes with your hearing uh, if that makes sense, uh, because you are busy you want to hear like more on one side, of course, than both sides where this is on both sides.

So I think this one sounds better, but I think this one overall is better, though, just because it's on both sides um, you guys. Let me know, though they're very, very close. I would say on that, and we'll do one more test here, which is the Wi-Fi test, then we'll go back and see. Neither of these should have re-uh started any of the any other websites we had open there, so we're doing both at different times. I'm the only one that's on my internet right now.

Actually so there shouldn't be any other conflicts so about 130, 140, 145, pm, 19 downloads of 142. Let's see what our upload speed is here about almost 12. , all right, so 19 milliseconds, 142, uh, download, 11.99 upload uh. One thing I did not mention I should have mentioned earlier. This is I have this in performance mode.

Uh apple is just in apple mode. Doesn't really have any other modes, so millisecond is at 18 pings. The ping is at 18 milliseconds uh, so it's a little better than the uh. Then the surface uh download is actually a little better as well at 145.85 compared to 142.04, and then upload is actually a tiny bit worse at 11.86 compared to 11.99 all right. Let's go back into each of these open all right, no issue.

Of course someone has no issue, of course, monster hunter, no issue, no issue, no issue, no issue YouTube, no issue, no issue, and of course the last one will have no issue as well, so both of them do a good job of keeping open your web pages just fine. The very last thing we're going to do here is open up. Pok?mon train card game online uh. So let's just I'm going to open them up at different times, because this year the double tap again that one I do not so one, two, three four five, probably about five six seconds or so one, two three if it's about three seconds. This is, I shouldn't, go over price number five. This is 303, this is 550. And that's without the keyboards or the pens, and both the keyboards cost somewhere around 100 or so uh and the pens are about the same uh.
