$20 Yahoo Mobile Smartphone - ZTE Blade A3Y Unboxing!

Hey: what's up fellas, I'm a master's female fan steeplicious here, and today we're going to unbox the ZTE blade a3y. Now that might not mean anything to you. You may have heard of ZTE, but the important part of it is. This is the phone that yahoo mobile is using as kind of their doorbuster 19.99. Yes, 20 for a 4g smartphone in 2020 they're using Verizon's network. Perhaps it's a promotion to kick it off.

The thing was 50 bucks. Now it's 20, you need your yahoo account. I had to send Indiana Jones out to unearth that bad boy. Let me tell you something: if you're using this it'll, send it to the address of your yahoo account so make sure you still live there the same place. You were living 15 years ago.

The last time you used your yahoo account, make sure you dust it off, but anyway we're going to go ahead and unbox. It sees what 20 gets you and then, of course, this week, I'm going to test it and see how that Verizon surface works on it. All of that on this edition of stevalicious tech, now we're back as always. Thank you so much to all the new subscribers up over 2345. As of the taping of this video, if you're loving, all the phones, cheap phones, expensive phones, no matter what it happens to be gone ahead and give that subscribe button a dozen- it certainly means a lot to me, so the ZTE blade a3y.

Let's talk about what you're getting for that 20 and the fact that you're getting anything whatsoever is impressive. You can't even get feature phones for 20 and for what I understand and what I could see. There are no real contracts or catches. You don't have to be with them for a year or two years or anything like that. I may be mistaken.

On that I double-checked I triple checked. I went through the entire site, it says month to month. You could cancel at any time so for 35, you get unlimited talk text and the most important thing which I thought was interesting is this thing can act as a hotspot, so you could connect it up, use it as kind of Wi-Fi hub. If you want other devices on there, is it going to be the fastest 4g LTE on the planet? No, is it throttled most likely? Will they probably throttle you at whatever gig, maybe a gig, maybe two gigs before they really cut the speed down most likely as well, but then again you're paying 20 for this? If this is something for a kid, a second phone you're starting up a business, whatever you happen to need, this might be an option. So, let's see, let's unbox it, let's see what you get for, that 20 bucks 5.5 inch display MediaTek processor, two gigs of ram a 2600 William hour battery and that's okay, because the MediaTek is a lower powered performance, a lower performance chip, you're running only a 720p display you're, not pushing some huge OLED panels LCD, and you all have android 10 goes which is going to be the stock lighter version of android. Well, what I'm curious is some pictures had it a little of yahoo bloatware on that.

Maybe this is their way back in get you using your yellow stuff. Again, your mail, your fan. Well, you probably still use fantasy sports but mail, other yahoo services, if they pack it on there and that's the cost of doing business, to get your phone for 20 bucks. So be it let's dive in. Let's see what you get, we got our trusty unboxing bird here as he always helps out sorry, I don't know that one we got our computer helping out as well trying to talk during the video got.

That said to the side Mr snowman, helping out or Christmas tree helping out and there it is, there's your device, the ZTE blade, really light, which you'd expect. Let's put this aside for a second super purple by the way they're calling that grape jelly that yahoo purple see what other stuff you got. I got my yahoo mobile sim card. I was gonna. Try I have to test the service.

I was going to put this through his paces. Put my main sim in it for a week, see what we got, but I want to also test the yahoo mobile service test. Some speeds see what we have with them, so I'll go ahead and use it I'll use it for a week I'll put a bunch of apps on it, chat, apps and see what you can do. Listen chat, light web browsing, yeah, email, you're, going to check whether this is probably just fine. So we got instruction manual, quick, start guide, your USB charging, not bad.

You don't see a lot of phones in the under 100 price range with USB, you'd, think micro, USB for charging. So you get some decent charging speeds there. Removable battery, which I thought was quite cool on that plastic back, you get the removable battery and there you go a charging brick. So there you go no, not a lot going on nice box, decent presentation, then again twenty dollars, they started out selling it fifty now it's twenty! Let's see how we go ahead, and this is my white. We're editing has to come in here, because we're going to see how we can open up this back case.

Okay, so on the bottom left, there's a little tab in the plastic guessing for pry tab that worked quite well and there and there she goes as I break it off. There's the back put the sim in there when I get it out, fingerprint sensor, not bad see if it's got any juice. CTE simple, like you know, five six years ago, when you had to put your own battery in the thing screen protector on their power button on the right hand, side, volume, rocker up and down, it's got some juice power it right up. I want to get beyond the first screen to the second screen to see. If there is any yahoo stuff in there, in fact, what I'm going to do is I'm going to pause it I'm going to let it boot up, I'm going to get past the initial android screens and see what we've got we'll be right back we're going to do an edit in a Steve, delicious video.

That's unheard of! There's your yahoo mode be right back and there we go it's beeping and bopping doing all kinds of stuff, but it is set up. I'm going to go ahead and put the sim in it, of course, get started on I'm going to leave the fingerprint sensor and the rest of it for the full review coming up later in the week. But there is some yahoo stuff on their yahoo mobile app, and then they have the yahoo stuff in a different little folder on the front on the home screen, which is fine. Gesture navigation, android 10 looks like the stock android apps, you got chrome, you got stock messages as it bops again stock other stuff on it play store all set to go. I'm going to put this in it.

Try it out test the speeds test, the phone it's already powered up and let me tell you something: not a bad display for 20. That's decent brightness, that's decent contrast, those colors! Actually look nice. The purple looks nice on it. I'm already slightly impressed. It's got a decent weight to it.

It's not super heavy, but it's not cheapo light either for twenty dollars. If you're looking for mobile service, if you don't mind the Verizon system, which I don't think you would, it seems pretty good to me- this might be the way to go. But then again we will have the full review later on in the week, probably Friday or Saturday, we're going to go ahead and play with this a little more and enjoy that grape jelly color. On the back of that look at that's wild, that's deep purple! That's what you want! That's the royal purple! If you're going to have purple, you don't want to get cheated, you don't want some lilac like that. Other thing, the super light purple.

You want the deep nice royal purple, and you certainly have that here if you've made it this far. Like comment subscribe, all that fun stuff until next time have that Steve vicious day.
