Zagg Invisible Shield Glass Screen Protector For Google Pixel 2 XL Unboxing and Review

What is up guys welcome to the big unbox, where we do that small tech you today I'm back with another big unboxing for you for the pixel XL 2, and today we're back with the tag tempered glass screen protector to unbox. Do a quick review on I'll try to do the installation on video, as always I'll, throw up that link in the video description. If you guys want to check it out. So the pricing on this one is definitely steep.49 bucks. You can probably get a cheaper if you search around but $49.99 is the retail price. So it's definitely expensive.

So I'm going to get this test it out to see. If it's worth you guy's money, it's got some negative reviews so go and check it out as well. I do have I'm very excited to get the White stone dome. Tempered glass rim protector just receive that in the mail. That's full adhesive, so we'll check that out at a later time before right now go ahead and see if this one's worth the price of 50 bucks, so packaging looks premium from tag yeah a little and visit shield glass curved screen protector and again usual presentation from tag Google, pixel, XL too, and on the side says tag as well.

The back is gonna. Give you some details about the hardness. Basically, it's going to give you the details about the fit and then what's included in the actual installation kit, so you get the actual tempered glass instructions, microfiber, cloth, cleaning, wipe and then dust removal, sticker kit, so I, don't think, there's an actual tray which is actually very nice. Sometimes they throw in a tray. That's actually very helpful with the actual installation itself.

I. Don't believe that they actually did that with this one, but we'll go ahead and check it out and see what else is in it so again presentation they get a for presentation, but this one has not received the best reviews in the world. I've checked a few different websites, and they're all pretty poor. So we'll go ahead and check this out guys and see if it's worth your guy's time and money. More importantly, here we go.

This is pretty much the usual packaging from tag presentation is definitely not one of their issues. This is a nice presentation all the way around, so you got a little wet wipe right here, got your usual dust removal sticker, keep that handy, microfiber cloth and should have a little of tag logo mom. Maybe not this one's just pretty clean, nothing to no branding at all. On that one got your stop lifetime replacement. You know check out the instructor check out the actual fine print on that lifetime replacement issue.

I'm, not really sure what the locks will replace so check that out. Here's the screen protector itself: you are only getting one! So keep that in mind. It's definitely one of those things that if you only get one you have to be very careful the first time, so it makes it a little more challenging when you're doing the actual installation. So this one's definitely going to be a clean. Tell a slight curve to the screen.

You can see. It's a slight curve to the timber glass screen protector, and it does feel it feels legit. It's got a nice weight to it, and it does feel premium, but you would expect that for that price point it's definitely not full adhesive. So it's only going to have adhesive on the black parts, basically so the bottom and then the top, and then the edges are gonna, have some black or the edges of the black right they're going to have the adhesive part so in the middle there's not going to be any adhesive and a lot of times with that you'll see kind of like a dot, matrix or kind of develop like a rainbow effect as well I'm, not as big a fan as this type of screen protector, because I often think it fingers up really easy. For some reason it's got this like hollow feel, and it's got like kind of a grayish tint to it, but that just might have been my experience in the past obviously won't hold it against this review.

Let's see so leg, so this is gonna, be your first layer peel off so pretty much. It does have a nice feel, it's got a nice weight to it. Overall presentation feels premium. So let me do this guys. I'm going to go ahead and clean off my phone.

Get the installation ready for the video hold side, guys be right back. What is up guys welcome back. We got the screen ready to go for the installation. Most important thing to do is get that in front of like get the phone in front of direct sunlight or like a lamp, so you can basically find any type of dust particles get that cleaned off before you do the installation from there. You kind of want to make sure that you have a game plan going in.

We only get one screen protector, it's kind of scared because you only get one and if you mess it up, you're done so get game-playing going. This is gonna, be the first tab that you're going to take off. So once you take this tab off you're pretty much on the hook to insulation, so kind of what I do is get a game plan before I. Do that of a feel for like kind of find a starting point where you're going to do the installation itself usually I line it up with the front facing, like camera, usually there's kind of a cutout, but this one doesn't have a cutout. The cutout point is starting from looks like the speaker grilles, so it kind of line it up based upon the speaker, grilles to get a starting point for the actual installation process.

That's part of my best advice you guys to use, get a starting point and then start the installation process. So with that said, let me double-check to make sure to know the type of bubbles or any type of dirt. There we go. Okay, everything looks pretty decent on the screen. It's kind of tough to do be behind the camera, but we're going to make it do guys so bear with me here.

So first things. First, this is gonna, be the first point, so you're going to do that. Take this off ours. This is the first layer again, once you take this off you're pretty much on the hook. You have to go ahead and proceed with the process, so there we go.

We got this first layer off, it's definitely not full adhesive. It's only got adhesive on the sides and then the top point. So with that said, it's going to try to us line this up just right again, I'm kind of basing this upon where the am still gonna bases upon where the front-facing camera is because it kind of lines up where the black parts start and finish. This is a little more challenging than some of them. So hopefully this one works out.

Let's see I think it's lined up again. You kind of line up the sides make sure you kind of feel the sides make sure everything is lined up just right. There we go, then you want to take that part off and again, there's no adhesive on the actual inside the product itself. So what you want to do is take your fingers along the edges. Rub it down or if you want, you could go and take your microfiber cloth.

Rub it down just make sure that sides sticking there you go so give you guys. Look at it, that's how it looks pretty decent. You can see some dot-matrix actually in the inside of it. Well, it's definitely not full adhesive. So that's going to be a downfall.

It doesn't appear to be terrible, looking I've seen worse, but it's definitely not full adhesive. So it's going to have that just kind of have that look to it, and then you can already tell it's kind of like a hollow feel to it. Unfortunately, that just the way it is its kind of like a hollow feel simply for the fact that once you apply this, there's no adhesive in the middle, so it's kind of guys just this hollow type feel for the middle. The screen, because there's nothing he civ in the middle. But what that said, it's not terrible I've seen worse, but I can't say this is worth 50 bucks.

That's a good! That's the that's the question of the day. Is this worth 50 bucks? That it is probably not! You can see the type of protection you're getting it's raised up just a little, so it's decent screen coverage. It's pretty much edge to edge, at least if the actual screen itself. You can see you're not getting any type of protection up top here, where it kind of cuts off right there and then, where it cuts off at the bottom speaker grilles will. So the installation was pretty easy.

You can see just a little work cuts off right there as well. So the installation was pretty easy. I can't say the installation was difficult, but I can't say it's worth.50 bucks see you there in comparison. Here's the power support wound that was released from Google's website. That's considerably.

You know about the same type of price, and honestly I think this is very comparable to that product. There's no adhesive I pulled this one off when I did the installation for this there's no adhesive in the middle just adhesive on the sides, it's a little sticky on the sides up and on top, but then there's nothing in the middle. So I'd say it's a very comparable product. I'd, obviously I do have this white stone dome coming. That's actually got full adhesive we'll do that review as well.

I can't say this one's a hit for 50 bucks. That's just my just just me it's hard to put 50 bucks on this when it's not a perfect product, if it was a full adhesive, and it felt you know natural to touch no fingerprints, you can already see the fingerprints developing on it, and it's kind of got that hollow again feel to it. So I said this one's probably a miss for 50 bucks. Let me know what you guys think in the comments section hit or miss hit the subscribe button. We'll see you guys next time on the big on box, you.
