XPERIA 5 iii || Sony Xperia 5 iii Leaks -- What to Expect in 2021! (Sony Xperia 5 mark 3)

Hello guys it's the man here, welcome to the channel so guys I haven't been posting too much about Sony, Xperia phones. Recently, I really apologize for that. Some of my previous videos included news about the Xperia 1 mark 3, but this got me thinking what about the Xperia 5 mark iii, because a lot of people went for the mark ii version of the Xperia 5 in 2020 and in 2021 it got released in, I believe, uh it got announced in September and I believe it got released in October. A lot of people went for that phone because to a lot of people it seemed like the more sensible option. The Xperia one mark ii was the flagship. The Xperia 52 was a very small step down and a decent saving in price which we, basically all one going by the specifications.

There were very, very small differences, I believe, between the one and the five. So some differences were the screen. The five mark ii had an OLED screen, just like the one mark ii, but it was a full HD style screen and 120 hertz, which the one mark ii doesn't have. It instead goes for a 4k screen. I believe there was some also there were some differences with the camera as well, while they had the same sensors.

I believe that one mark ii had the additional time of flight center added a sensor added in there, whereas the 5 2 had without some people say they didn't really notice a difference when taking photos and would prefer to save the money, and you know what I can understand that yeah, I think for a lot of people. It makes a lot of sense. What about the five mark iii now, there's very limited news out there at the moment about this phone, but I think it's going to be another great phone to consider in 2021. So I'm looking at a number of websites now just to see what information there is out there on this phone and if you go to phone arena's website, they pretty much have a specification sheet on this phone. Even though it's not out yet, and they're saying, I guess, they're predicting that it's going to have a 6.1-inch screen like the previous model, full HD plus display, like the previous model, HDR OLED, with a 21 by 9 ratio. Now I can pretty much, I can say yeah.

I think that I think that's uh, quite an accurate prediction, because the five two is like that right now, they're saying an outscore snapdragon, 888 processors. Again, it's the flagship of 2021 from Qualcomm, so fine, eight gigabytes of ram, 128, gigabyte, storage, 5g support side mounted fingerprint scanner. Yes, we all like the side mounted fingerprint scanner, don't get rid of it Sony, don't you dare get rid of it, because I've read articles that are saying you might get rid of it and make it an in-screen. Don't bother doing that! Keep that okay, four thousand William hour battery ipv4 65, ip68, water and dust resistant. So you know if that is literally the upgrade that we're going to get.

That would uh seem sensible, but I do think there should be an additional periscope style lens. That's been forecast for the Xperia 1 mark iii. In the last iteration of the Xperia 5 mark ii, the cameras were pretty much the same apart from the timer flight sensor. So now, let's read what tech radar reckon, because there they apparently know a few things about these phones. So one thing that tech radar reckon is that there are some rumors suggesting that the five mark iii could land earlier than September October in 2021, apparently there's a Reddit post spotted by android next, which says that the expert Xperia there should be another phone coming out with the Xperia one three in the first half of the year, not sure how accurate that is.

But that's what the rumors are another one of these rumors that's been spotted by don't know how to say it. Sumo digest that states that both of the phones, the Xperia 5 mark 3 and the one mark iii are being developed in parallel and might be released on the same date. So we'll have to see about that now. One thing we do know with high certainty is that it's probably not going to be landing in Australia, because apparently Sony doesn't cell phones there, but we should see the Xperia five mark iii, land in the U. S.

in the UK and some other countries where there already are now one thing I really disagree with on tech radar's website is: they want to see an in-screen fingerprint scanner on the Xperia 5 mark iii, and they're, saying it was left out the 5 mark ii guys comment below. Are you with me? We don't want an in-screen fingerprint scanner, because they're rubbish, they're, no good one on the side worked way better. You can just look, never fails, don't get rid of it. Please don't do it Sony. I've said it before I'll say it again.

Another thing is that the 5.2 didn't have wireless charging. Not everyone cares about wireless charging. I personally do now. I don't live the high life guys, but I have a hot tub in the garden and some the reason I like wireless charging is sometimes, if you bring the phone, let's say you go swimming or in my case, if you go hot tub or whatever, if the phone gets a little of water inside the port, you can't charge it for like a day. So wireless charging helps you around that situation.

I know that's a bit of a first world problem, but hey deal with it, so yeah guys. What do you think about the Xperia 5 mark iii? Is it something you're going to consider, or are you going to get the upgrade to this phone? The one mark 3? Instead, I believe the difference is going to be probably about 30 40 in price to get the one mark iii. What are you going to buy?
