All right guys welcome back to another video, it's man jay. So it's time to give you a follow-up on the uh Redmi Note 10. Now this is the global version, so you'll have access across the globe to use this device and use it on whatever carrier. You want I've already gone over the networks and stuff for the US in the previous video that I did for this device so be sure to check that video out. If you have questions about the network, I've also showed you the cameras on the device and in this video this current, the current recording of this video. This phone is two hundred and nine dollars for four gig 128 gig model, which is what I have right here.
So you can grab it in uh, pearl white or pebble white and onyx gray, currently at wirelessplace. com, so be sure to check the link in the description see the current pricing. Now this phone has a 6.43 inch 1080p display 2400 by 1080. , a 48 megapixel quad, camera setup. You know 13 megapixels, front shooter, snapdragon, 678 and again four gigs of ram, so the 5000 William hour battery inside this thing is absolutely great uh.
This was uh just announced at the beginning of this month, we're still in March uh, and we're at the end of March right now, so this was announced and recently released about a week ago globally. So you could get this device uh now uh, pretty much uh, I won't say everywhere, but uh you can grab it, and- and this is a great option for under 250 bucks, this phone performs very well uh and again. This is just a discussion. Follow-Up on the device uh the phone performs fantastic folks. This is just one of those win from Xiaomi.
I'm happy that I got involved with Xiaomi and importing their devices back in the day years ago I started getting the devices from everywhere, and I'm happy that I stick with Xiaomi, because Xiaomi has some of the best just they just have some of the best hardware in the game in this price range, they've, always kind of beat out the competition uh when it comes to hardware, and the only thing that's different is pretty much the software, but it's android. So this one has mini 12, and you know the the phone itself again with hardware. It's just beautiful you've got this side mounted fingerprint reader on here. I've got a different theme on here, and you know this is just. This is an iOS theme when you boot the phone up it uh when you boot this phone up, it has an Apple logo and everything.
Whoever did this theme, they really went all in. So I want to talk about something that I have not talked about uh in as far as the hardware goes in any of the other reviews really because I didn't get really the chance to test it out, but it's the battery life, so I've been using this for predominantly streaming and media consumption and all social media. Any kind of social media that you can think of. That is what I've been using it for so um. Bear that in mind.
When you start to your know, listen to this conversation about this device uh, it's ultimately a streamer's, a dream. I guess a huge battery with a very power efficient processor and enough ram to handle everything, and then you've got 128 gigs of storage, and you also can do a SD card as well. So you can double this up. Uh I mean you can get 128 gift cards. You can even get a 256 gig card now for, like 40 bucks, probably a good one.
At that uh and um. You could have tons of memory in here uh for storing all your photos, your movies or whatever you do with the external storage. You could have that on this device, but I want to talk about the battery now. The battery is something uh that is very impressive on here, but we knew this would happen um. I just recently took it off the charger uh, but previous stats, I've gotten on here um the screen on time it reset because I've powered it off whatever, but um this phone wasn't dead.
I just wanted to start it with a fresh charge. It was actually at 72 percent with almost four hours of screen on time. Unfortunately, I didn't take a screenshot. I just have to take my word on that. I'm pretty honest when it comes to the battery experience, but it's not so much about the screen on time and the battery percentage that was left.
It was 72, I think, and it had uh three hours and 36 minutes of screen on time, but I'm starting the day well, not starting my day, but I'm getting ready to do some things and I wanted to have all the batteries to make sure I can make it through the next few days. So this phone um definitely is going to be a powerhouse on battery and I don't think you'll find yourself in a situation where you'll miss out on something uh. You could go a full weekend with this. If I could go a full, I can go a full weekend with this phone um. As long as I minimize the way I stream like if you're just watching a movie like if you're watching Netflix this is a hdr10 high resolution display it's got a 1080p display, which is good.
However, if you're watching Netflix you're not going to get the 4k uh ultimate experience on Netflix, what you're going to get is them pretty much running it at 480 480p, but it won't look like that for you, it's gonna, look very clear. So when I'm watching content and movies on here, it's not pulling much battery at all it's doing fantastic. So I think you need to bear that in mind. If you decide to uh grab this phone for battery, you should be able to make it through a full three days, easy with battery despair. If you especially is you're not streaming, you know if you're doing some gaming, it could burn a little faster, but I still think you can make it three days because I don't think you're gonna gain for three days straight, and this is just a situation where you forgot your charger or whatever.
You could actually turn on this ultra power saving mode, and it's going to give you 400 hours from 100. Well. For me, it gives me 400 hours for you, you might get more, you might get less when I first when I first got the phone, it said it was going to give me 316 hours, so bear that in mind, but now that I've had the phone for some time now, um it's showing 400 hours and I think that's just ridiculously dope 400 hours. That's incredible! That's just incredible so bear that in mind. If you decide to grab this device, your battery life should be freaking ridiculous.
It should be crazy. This is this theme loading up here. I've got different themes on it. I like this thing, because you can change the wallpaper just like this. You don't even have to go with anything.
That's why I like this wall, this uh this thing you can move this away. Also. I had it right there, but you can go through all these different colors, and it's just got everything on here. This theme is you: can blur the background and just have your um, um photo of the icons in the forefront? It's its just crazy man. It's just a nice theme, but you know that's just a part of android.
That's not so much! You know Xiaomi! You can theme anything on android, some dope wallpapers here they put them all in here. Whoever created this thing, they put they thought of everything, but nonetheless um the battery life itself is going to be impressive to you, and you know, the focus of this video was. Was the hardware and the battery life? I really don't have too much more to report to you on this thing, because you have to use something in order to see what the battery life is about and that's, ultimately, where I've been uh so battery life on here. Super impressive hardware is just flat out amazing um. I really really really like this hardware and, like I said, Xiaomi has always been on top of their game.
When it comes to hardware, I mean, if you're, just looking at this um, you're seeing pretty much and remember this has stereo speakers. It's got a speaker down there, a speaker up here. You've got an IR blaster, you got a headphone jack and this is all a part of the hardware. This is a part of the hardware. This is what it's all about.
This is a small phone, but a big phone. You know what I'm saying like this is a good size, 6.43 inches, basically 6.45 inches, but they rounded down to 6.4 when they're talking about this phone um, it's its just nice, the fingerprint scanner. On the side. You just rest your finger on it, and it's there. I just feel like a lot of people are missing out on phones, uh, because they're afraid to take that risk.
Now I will say this: I respect the people who don't want to take the risk, and they're more worried about um their um network, and you should be. You should be worried about the network. You should be concerned about that when it comes to um buying a device. Now some people feel like. Oh, I have to have man 12 folks, I'm telling you um.
That's an argument that I choose not to have any more banded.12 is essential to some point, but the whole world is not covered by band 12. The world is pretty much covered by two and four, and if you're on T-Mobile and even two four five, if you're on a t and some other GSM uh providers, you've got to really rid yourself of feeling like uh. You know this. This isn't I'm. I tell you from um a respectful, humble experience.
I've tested these phones on several networks and also travel before COVID-19. Furthermore, I was traveling a lot, I mean I was traveling a bunch and these phones don't lose service. Furthermore, I mean uh it's, but it still ultimately comes down to what you want to purchase with your own money, I'm just a guide, a guide on buying a device and showing you the different options that you might have and trying to help. You save some money um, but you know this. This device is crazy and totally worth 200 bucks.
I mean when you consider what these cameras are. Bringing you just have to appreciate what Xiaomi has done all these years and the fact that we can still import them and get them into the U. S. Is its good? I'm happy about that? I'm I'm not happy that carriers don't sell these because you imagine you know how T-Mobile has um in all these prepaid companies but T-Mobile, I'm focusing on right now for this, this quick segment. You know how they have um, those revel series.
Imagine if they struck a deal with Xiaomi or Huawei, because Huawei is another one that has fantastic hardware and software is on point with them. Imagine the T-Mobile decided to take a real risk and strike a deal with Xiaomi, and they were offering phones like this on their network, as their revel series come on, son you've seen the current rebel series, and you know that it's nowhere near touching a phone like this hardware speakers cameras, nothing is touching this type of quality. Imagine that imagine if t-mobile struck a deal, would shout me and brought this phone or any of their phones that they have for the rebel line they should. They would be able if, if sold right, if they do it right, they would sell so many of these phones, it's incredible people. Would they could, it's just kind of disappointing that the U.
S. market always blocks out competitors that are better than I? I mean you. Take an example. You take my man lesson. He has been a pixel fan forever, we're still team pixel, no doubt, but he finally jumped out on a limb, and he decided to get the Xiaomi 11 the me11.
He loves that phone. Furthermore, he likes it better than his pixel. You see what I'm saying. So it's a matter of the market that you're in and what's being allowed to happen and what's being not allowed to happen, if T-Mobile picks up a phone like this or this phone slaughters, their revel line, and it costs less. But I will hope that they would stick to that and just you know try to make some profit game.
But not if this phone, this hardware was on a US phone, it would be selling for double the amount guaranteed. So Xiaomi has tackled the hardware game. The battery on this phone is ridiculous. Streaming gaming performance all it's all there. It's all there.
This phone comes to the market with me: UI 12 and android 11. , and it's on the February security patch at the moment. But still this is a great option. One day we will see Xiaomi Sony Huawei back in the US, because someone will jump in there and say: hey the real spies are right here in the U. S.
I get so tired of hearing that that argument. Oh, I'm not buying these Chinese phones, I'm actually a little offended by that when people label something because if you flip your tag open on your clothing, it doesn't say made in the USA the majority of it- and I know I'm getting a little political. I apologize, but I really don't like its kind of racist is what it is when you make those comments, verbal, like those chinks, those Chinese and all that stuff. But you don't like when people say things about people in the U. S.
, the U. S. Yes, I live here, but let's be real. The majority of the things even made in the U. S.
who built your house pause. You already know what's up now who the clothes that you're wearing who made those clothes, so we need to. We need to come together in the tech community and really sit down and consider the things that we say because words are power, which is why I always promote every brand. That's offering something good to the table again! My apologies. I hate to be leaning in the towards the political side, but it's just for real.
So I mean this is tech, but I'm not just some tech reviewer, I'm a real person behind the camera meet me in person. We can have even better conversation yeah, I mean for those that have met me in person. You already know what's up, but this phone is tight. It's awesome, it's a fantastic option. Yes, it doesn't have banded 12, I believe it doesn't have banded 66 or 71.
It doesn't have a few of the bands, but as long as it has two and four, and I'm switching back to network for a second, because some of you guys really are experts in the comments section, but you don't have the device a lot of people also. I talked about network in the other video, but I'm just I'm just letting. You know that if you have band two and four you're definitely cover and this phone has five also a TNT. You know band 850. This phone has that too.
So as long as you have band one, two, three four and five you're pretty much okay in the U. S. man, I travel with the phones throughout the US and I have yet to have a problem all right, social media hardware again a little political, my bad, but it is what it is now before I get out of here. I want to spend a special thank you to uh, my man technically t uh, the is oat 400 and the f-stop at 3.5 is absolutely fantastic. I appreciate it, you know I'm saying he knows what's up, so thank you to the people that support the channel and thank you to the people like you who always come by watch uh, the premieres that I do or just watch the videos.
So the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 is not the pro there's a 10 t that is the snapdragon 865, and it's about 500 right now, wirelessplace. com so check that out just go to the wirelessplace. com section and um just hit it up. Man look through their phones. They have a lot of phones that you can get at a much lower price and their shipping is really, really fast.
I'm not a spokesman for wirelessplace. com. I just work with them. They allow me to review their phones. I don't make any money from them when you buy the phones, they get the bread, but you know what I'm not asking for any money, because I'm sure, if I did ask for some money or affiliate link, I could probably get it, but it's not about that.
It's about bringing you to tech and bringing you a good discussion on devices, because this is a real follow-up on a phone, a real review if you will quote-unquote. So I hope that you start to see more and more Huawei Xiaomi ZTE everything out there opposed to some of the phones that are in the U. S. market that cost triple quadruple the price for the same type of hardware. It's your man, j! Hope you guys enjoyed discussion, I'll, see you in the next one.
Take care.
