If you're looking for a good budget smartphone. Then you have two of the best options in the Xiaomi Redmi 90 and the Poco m3. The catch is they're both very similar phones, both in specs and in price, so which one do you go for well today, I'm going to compare the two phones, and we'll find out. Let's go, let's start with the most obvious difference between the two phones, which are their designs. The Xiaomi Redmi 9t takes on a more mainstream, but still very sleek. Look that will suit more people.

It also comes in a host of new colors that add flavor to the design. This one that I have here is sunset orange, the Pogo, m3 sports and edgier, look especially with the massive camera housing here and the Poco logo as well. But I would add that the back panel feels more plastic than the Redmi 19. , but you plop a case on the phone anyways, so this may not be a determining factor for you upon closer inspection, both phones use the same chassis design with the same dimensions and weight both are easy to hold and sleep into the pocket. Both phones have the same 6.53 inch, full HD plus IPS panel, but somehow the Poco m3 has the cooler color tones. Despite having the same color scheme settings.

Interestingly, the Poco m3's display seems to be sharper as well. Despite the specs saying, both phones push a pixel density of 395 pixels per inch, because of that I personally prefer the Poco m3 when it comes to media consumption. When it comes to audio, both phones get a top and bottom firing dual speakers, and they are pretty good for budget smartphones. They sound really nice. It can get really loud too, but there is a subtle difference between the two phones.

The Redmi 90 produces brighter audio, while the Poco m3 excels in the low end, so you get brassier tunes with the Poco entry. Moving on to the cameras, the Redmi 90 has four lenses: a 48 megapixel main lens, a 2 megapixel depth sensor, another 2 megapixel macro lens and an 8 megapixel ultra white camera. The Poco m3 is similar, except it does not have the ultra-wide lens in terms of its performance. Unsurprisingly, both phones produce the same kind of images since they pack Xiaomi's imaging software color saturation is always a little high. I did have AI enabled with HDR turned to auto images.

Are nice and sharp when fat enough light? The Redmi 90 has the upper hand, with the extra ultra-wide shooter, which is a must-have in a 2021 smartphone. Both phones can zoom up to 8 times digital, but the Redmi 90s shot is slightly more zoomed in regardless. Both photos are basically so pixelated that I wouldn't consider using them. Anyways portrait mode on both phones work the same and are pretty good too. The both is nice as well.

When it comes to high-res photography, both phones shoot at 48 megapixels. The Poco m3 seems to have the more saturated image color, but in terms of detail, both phones fare the same for selfies. You get an 8 megapixel lens on both devices and well. They work with both off the Redmi.9T fare better at balancing, subject exposure but with both on the Poco m3 produced nicer colors. I need to mention, though, that the differences are quite minute when it comes to performance and hardware.

You get a snapdragon 662 chipsets under the hood and what's interesting, however, is that for the same price of 699 ringgits, if you get the top spec model, the Redmi 90 actually gives you six gigabytes of ram, instead of just four on the Poco m3 proof. When it comes to daily browsing, both phones can take a bit more time to load pages boot up apps, but in general, it's possible when it comes to gaming on Call of Duty mobile. Both phones can support high frame rates at higher graphics settings. You might notice stuttering once in a while, but the overall experience is generally smooth. This level of performance can translate into other popular mobile games as well, so by now, we've established that both phones are pretty good all-rounders and to complete the package.

Let's talk about their battery life, both phones pack, a large 6 000 William hour pack, and both phones can last you about 7 hours of regular browsing gaming and heavy content consumption. Both phones also support 18 watts of fast charging, which can power up both phones in a little over an hour when it comes to this software, both use the same mini 12 that I'm personally accustomed to using already. It may be a hit or miss for some, but it's still a simple and easy to use OS regardless, you get a side mounted fingerprint sensor on both phones, and they are equally snappy at unlocking the device. So at the end of the day, if you're choosing between these two phones, I guess the obvious answer would be to go for this Xiaomi Redmi 90, because for the same price of 699 ringgits, if you get the top spec model, you get more ram and an extra ultra-wide lens. But if you're planning to save about 200 ringgits for the 499 ringgit version, both phones have the same memory and storage configurations, but I think the Poco m3 edges out with a slightly better display, color and audio quality.
