Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold - Is It Worth It?

Me mix fold: is it worth it? Let's find out hey guys, Dave Jacobson here in this video we're going to take a look at the brand spanking new me mix fold in an attempt to answer one important question: is it worth the money? So, let's dive in and find out this week marked the first release of the foldable smartphone the mix fold. The fold shares a similar look and feel to Samsung's Galaxy Z fold. As the name suggests you can fold it both inward and vertically, allowing you to use it like a traditional smartphone, but you can also unfold it and use it like a traditional tablet. The fold has a number of specs you'd expect from a premium smartphone, including a lightning fast processor, an amazing camera, an OLED display and, of course, support for wireless charging. Oh, did I mention, there's a kicker. It's only available in China, yep, that's right! Folks.

If you're in the United States, you're just going to have to wait your turn. The inner screen is an eight inch, four by three OLED panel, with 2480 by 1860 resolution, a standard display brightness of 600 nits, and support for Dolby Vision. HDR, supposedly the display can withstand being folded up to 200 000 times. That's a lot of folding, but only time will tell whether that's true. The outer screen is 6.52 inches with a 90 hertz refresh rate, and the company is also boasting about the mix folds audio capabilities with four Harman Kardon tuned speakers and what the company describes as 3d panoramic sound. You might have noticed that I'm saying the company instead of Xiaomi, because I really have no idea how to pronounce it.

The new foldable sports, a snapdragon 888 soc 67 watt charging, as well as a 5020 mega amp battery. The phone has the biggest battery in a foldable phone. To date, the 67 watt charging speeds will top up the battery in just 37 minutes. Supposedly, you can charge the phone in just 67 minutes. Again.

Only time will tell prices start at 9999 yen, around 1521 us dollars for a model with 12 gigabytes of ram and 256 gigabytes of storage, going all the way up to about 2 000 us dollars. If you want 512 gigabytes of ram, there's no word yet, unfortunately, as to when this might be released to the United States and other countries outside of China, so we'll just have to cross our fingers and wait which brings us to our last question. Is it worth it? Well, as you can see in this image, there are notorious issues with these foldable type devices, and the mix fold is no exception. Already. There are images coming out showing some wear and tear on the fold.

That's not necessarily a dealbreaker, because the phone comes with some amazing features, but you should really think about it before you purchase it. That's all for now, thanks for watching guys, please share like and subscribe and hit that alert bell if you want to get more tech updates like this one, thanks for watching I'll, see you next time.
