Xiaomi Mi 11 - "Real Review" By Flossy Carter

All right! So, let's go through all the specs. Now the phone comes in five different colors. You got black white blue purple and khaki. Now this is a 5g phone GSM. Only for the display, you got a 6.81 inch, HD AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1440 by 3200 that is 515 for the PPI patrol. You got gorilla glass v on the front.

That's victim the strongest gorilla glass on the market. You got a glass or leather back version. The phone goes up to 1500 inch brightness, and you got a 120 hertz refresh rate. I repeat: 120 hertz, refresh rate for the processor, got the Qualcomm snapdragon 888 with the arena 660 GPU. Now what does that mean in English flagship, specs, bro flagship specs? Now you got 8 or 12 gigs of ram 128 or 256 gigs of storage, no micro SD card slot for expandable memory.

Now the phone is running android 11, with mini 12.5 skin. On top, you got a 4 600 ml battery that has 55 watt fast charging all right, so Xiaomi claims you can charge your phone from zero to 100 and 45 minutes be a quick charge.4 plus now you also got 50 watt fast wireless charging right, I repeat: 50 watt, fast wireless charging and 10 watt fast power sheet. That's reverse wireless charging. Now for the cameras on the rear, you got a triple set up, so you got a 108 megapixel wide angle, a 13 megapixel ultra-wide and a 5 megapixel macro on the front. You got a 20 megapixel wide angle lens.

Now the maximum video capability is 8k. Now you got Bluetooth version.5.2 NFC, you got dual stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. You got an on-screen fingerprint sensor, always on display, face unlock and IR blaster all right, I repeat, an IR, blaster and, of course, thought protection. Alright, so all that for 700 bucks, what's missing, no IP rating, so the phone is not water, resistant, no expandable memory and no headphone jack. That's just whack hashtag boss! Alright! So let's unbox this and see what it is.

Now I've been using this phone for over a week, and I will say this: all right: Xiaomi is taking over the crown from Samsung. This might be the best 700 phones of the year.

Okay, now, if you notice there's no charger in the box, here's the thing: if you order from gig top they're going to send you the Xiaomi 55 watt, fast charging brick now this is from git stop. Now I don't know if every website is going to do that, I don't know if you buy the phone, do you have to buy this separately, but if you buy it from desktop it comes with the charger, so I'm not going to roast them for not putting the charge in the box because, like I said, if you order from gear stop it comes with a charger. Okay, here's the phone. Let's peel, this stick off the back: let's get a wipe down check this out now, of course, I went with the Wesley snipes black version kind of looks like a slate gray.

Let's do the smell test on this one. This one smells like trouble for Samsung all right now. Look you all know me. I got no brand loyalty. I only pledge allegiance to the hotness.

Last year, 2020 the Xiaomi mi 10 ultra, was my third favorite phone of the year. Now I know I said I was going to make a top 10 phones of 2020 video, but I just never got around to it. So I'll just tell you all real quick. My number one phone was the galaxy z42 number two Galaxy Note: 20 ultra and number three, the Xiaomi mi 10 pro. Ah, me 10 ultra then after that iPhone 11, then everything else all right, Xiaomi is slowly, slowly taking the title from Samsung.

Now, Samsung still has the fold series all right, so you got to give him credit for that, and he's still got the note series gotta give him credit for that. When it comes to the galaxy s series, the series is killing him all right. I would gladly I mean gladly take the meat 10 ultra over the galaxy s20 ultra any day of the week. At any time of the day of any day of that week, nevertheless, I digress back to the mi 11. Okay, on the back.

There's your triple camera setup. Now this has the frosted glass back version. I love it minimum fingerprints. Now it does come with the leather back version. If you choose to but um.

No, I think I got to go with the glass sick on one side. There's your power button. Let's go ahead and activate that okay volume up and down on the top. You got a sensor mic IR blaster, all right IR, blaster, here's your second speaker, all right, dual speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, one of the bottom one at the top. There's your USB type-c charging slot.

Okay, so again, if you order from gizmo somebody translates that right there. I don't know what that says, but I know what that says: 55 w, I that's 55 watts. It says it right on the charging, brick 55 watts, and it comes with the USB type-c cable. So again, I cannot roast Xiaomi right now for not putting the charger in the box, because I don't know if you buy it directly from Xiaomi or gear best or any of these other websites. I don't know if you're going to get the charger.

That's why I recommend buying it from desktop. You get a free, not really free, but 55 watt fast charging, brick 0 to 145 minutes. Now again, if you didn't see the 10 ultra, that was 0 to 128 minutes all right. This is one of the best phones ever made all right. Let me pause the video delete.

My browsing history, then we'll walk through the OS talk amongst yourselves all right you all. So we back in first up, let's check two important features: number one wireless charge: okay, got a wireless charger BOM there. It is wireless charger on deck. You can open up the device you can swipe up. Put in your pattern, your pin, you got the on-screen fingerprint sensor, which is, I would say, arguably the second-best fingerprint sensor on the market. Number one still goes to OnePlus. I, the OnePlus fingerprint sensor is crazy.

This one is basically just as crazy. All right. Look at this on-screen fingerprint sensor. I defend them that face unlocks is crazy. It's so fast.

Try not to look at it all right check out the fingerprint sensor bong. Do that one more time! Bong! Now you don't have to turn the device on. You can do it while it's off, but it works 100 of the time superfast, super smooth, super reliable, but the best way to open up this device is the face unlock it's insanely fast, and this is the best face unlock on android phones, not the most secure, all right, not the most secure face unlock, but it's definitely the fastest. Look at that. I'm not! Let me not look at it.

Okay, now, I'm gonna! Look at it. Let's do three in a row now, one of the things that I love about: Xiaomi phones, and I'm going on record right now. Xiaomi makes the fastest android phones now OnePlus and google I with the pixel, might be the smoothest, but when it comes to sheer speed, Xiaomi makes the fastest android phones on the market. Now, there's a test that I always show you all with these zombie phones. Try doing this with your galaxy phone, just turn it off and on keep turning it off and on and see if it does it that's smooth and that reliable now check this out.

Here's the gal uh, here's the 10, the 10 pro using this phone from day. One look: how fast this one is! Is last year's phone. Here's the 10 pro look at that look! Look how fast this is now people always say: oh android phones slow down over time. No, they don't right. This ain't, 2004, android phones, do not slow down over time anymore.

Now, of course, if you load up your phone with Candy Crush and a bunch of games, you're going to have a little lag issues here and there, but if you keep your phone clean and manage your ram correctly you're going to love it all right. These are two epic phones right here, and this is the new one. Now, if this is the 11, imagine the mi 11 pro and the mi 11 ultra Samsung, all right, Samsung, you all, better step up you all, know: you all know I love Samsung. You know how I feel about them, but Xiaomi is killing it right now and one of the reasons that Xiaomi is killing. It is because of that IR blaster, which I'm going to show you how it works in a minute so again, apically smooth, apically, fast, super reliable, all right, beautiful 6.81 inch, AMOLED HD panel insane. Now, of course, this is a Chinese phone, so you're going to have a little of Chinese stuff on it, which you could get rid of.

If you want, I just haven't really played around with it enough do I delete all this stuff and I don't really care enough to get that crazy, 120, hertz, refresh rate, all right matter of fact: let's go through the uh basic stuff, real quick. If you want, I had a thousand different ones: sleep on an eraser, wig double tap turn the screen off wallpaper carousel clock screen format. You can change that if you want to add your own information.

Okay, here's your world start button. I launch the camera double press, the volume down to launch the camera. Alright, so you're outside you see somebody about to get punched in the mouth. Let's go to display. Okay, here's dark mode now, leave it on dark mode. For the rest, why not? Let's see more dark mode options adjust wallpaper? I just text the backgrounds this phone has so many settings like. I said I'm going to try to do this quick, let's see uh color scheme. Now you got auto.

I like it saturated because I like my colors to look nice and moist dignity, but you got original color advanced settings. Do your thing: let's go to display resolution full HD HD, alright, so this is a quad HD display now. This is another reason why this phone is kind of killing Samsung, because Samsung, when you put it on quad HD, you can't do quad HD at 120, hertz refresh rate this one, you notice, I got it on quad HD, refresh rate 120, both activated. At the same time. Now you got your AI image and engine all right, so you got super resolution.

Enhance the videos turn that on enhance images, turn that on AI HDR enhancement, turn that on memo turn that on all right, just turn everything on. Even if you don't know what it is just turn the on now you're going to like it trust me, that's a virtual reality. Uh full screen mode order with order rotate screen turn that on that's pretty much it sounds and vibration, dual stereo speakers all right, we're going to do a sound test in a minute. You got a sound assistant now this is kind of cool. This is something that Samsung has on some of their phones.

Also, this way, if you plug your plug in, if you connect your phone to a Bluetooth speaker, you can turn on adjust media apps. So this way, when you listen to your music, you don't get alerts over the Bluetooth speaker all right. That's um! That's something that annoys me. If I'm DJing at my little house party shindig, and I'm getting an alert, everybody doesn't need to hit it all right. Keep your scumbag status to yourself.

Let's say anything else: haptic feedback level not like to have a lot of vibration, so I'll leave mine on max matter. Of fact, let's see, did I miss anything um additional settings. The phone is pretty smart, let it control where they got to control headphone remote buttons.

We ain't going to need that because it doesn't come with goddamn headphones. Let's see what else we got. Um, notifications, okay, you could change your notifications. You got apps out of badges if or you can have the numbers no need to go through that home screen. Now, if you want to, you can have the three android buttons on the bottom, or you can use the swipe gestures.

Now, if I watch my videos religiously, you notice that I used to hate the swipe gestures. Now I can't, I can't go back to the three buttons on the bottom. I can't do it, so you got gestures all four buttons: okay, animation, icons, blah blah blah passwords and security face unlock fingerprint sensor. You can also use Bluetooth devices to unlock your phone, so if you've got a headset on, or you got some Bluetooth earbuds in as long as it's paired up to your phone, your phone will stay, unlocked, let's see battery and performance okay, so you got battery saver. Now, if I turn on battery saver, I have 53 hours left ultra battery saver 320 hours.

So if you like to travel- and you don't like putting your phone on airplane mode put on ultra battery saver and extend the battery all right shoes just be rolling up, looking extra cute come in shoes all right, let's keep it moving. Furthermore, you can shoot 8k uh, you can shoot 8k 30 frames per second 4k 60 frames per second 1080p, your choice, but here's that there 's's a caveat to that. Now. If you turn on steady video, you'll notice, you can't shoot 4k. You can only shoot 1080p 30 frames per second. Now, if you turn on steady video pro same thing: no 4k, no 8k, no 60 frames per second all right.

So if you want the full 8k or 4k, you can't have steady video on, but then you can do 4k 60 frames per second all right now you also got super macro. You got tracking moving shots straight in AI camera. Go crazy! Now, when you're in video, you can be also wide angle, video or two times zoom video- you got photo wide angle, all the way up to 30 times, scumbag zoom, all right, 30 times come back zoom, that's real nice! You got portrait mode. Now you can change your both, your blur effect. I go crazy with that, and you got a bunch more now.

You got night mode. You got 108 megapixels short video panorama, documents, vlogs slow motion, time-lapse, dual video, so that's you and the shot at the same time, movie effects AI watermark, yeah, watermarks and long exposure. Now take a look at these test, pictures and videos and on a side note the other day I did a review for the axon, the 25g, the ZTE axon 25g. I forgot to do a front facing camera test. Now.

If you all watch my camera test videos, I don't really take too many selfies all right so for now on for 2021 every time I do a camera test, video, I'm going to add a few selfies in there. Every time I made a video, I would complain about not having an IR blaster you all, remember: hashtag, bring back the IR blaster and a lot of you all in the comment section used to be like. Let me throw the hater voice on oh Flossie, stop talking about all your blasters! It's gone! That's the thing of the past! Well, Xiaomi is here to say, shut the f up all right.

The IR blaster is still alive and well, and this is one of the reasons why I will never travel without a Xiaomi phone in my bag, the IR blaster any hotel I go to. I can control the TV in the lobby control the TV in the bar control the TV in my room without touching that nasty remote control, it's just it's just more freedom. Now I know what you're saying a lot of smart TVs have apps that you can use to control. You don't need an IR blaster, that's true! But let's take it over to me remote. It's not only about TVs.

All right. You can control your cable box, your air conditioner, your fan, your smart box, your av receiver, DVD player, projectors, light bulbs, cameras, satellite TVs, air purifiers, water heaters. Again, it's more than just having a TV, remote control. You can control everything that has IR blasters enabled with it. Let me show you one of the reasons why I love this and why I use it the most all right.

So here's one reason why I love the IR. Blaster now say: I'm chilling in the bed. I can't find a remote control grab my phone we're gonna, take it over to me remote. I'm going to use the remote control from the phone turn the TV on just like that. I had all my Facebook scumbaggery on my Instagram thoughtless on my Twitter savagery and all my extracurricular photos on deck all right. This is dope. Let's go back to regular bomb back to regular. Let's do that, one more time! Yeah, yo! I love this. The only thing is when I set up my left uh print. I didn't really set it up as good as I set up the right one. So that's why it's not as fast, but I'm not a thought.

So I don't really use this feature. If I was a thought, I would have set up my left print just as good as I set up the right one, but you get the idea. Look how fast that transition is no tweets back to savagery. All phones need to have this feature if you're a scumbag, you're gonna love this all right. You're going to need this.

Not only are you going to love it you're going to need it anyway. Let's wrap this up all right so, overall, on a scale of one to ten. The Xiaomi mi 11 is a major major major goal and at 700 bucks, as bob parker would say, the price is right so far. This is the deal of the year. Now we got to see what Samsung and lg and OnePlus and everybody else comes out with, but at 700 bucks.

This is a win all right. This is a win now, if you still got the 10 pro or the mi 10 ultra you're still good to go. I actually still like the mi10 ultra a little better because of the build quality, the transparent back, the superfast charge. This is a beast, but the 11, if this is the mi 11 all right. If this is the mi 11, imagine the mi 11 pro and imagine a 11 ultra xiaomi, I'm begging you all.

Now I don't know if Xiaomi watches my videos or not but Xiaomi, I'm begging, you all. Please come out with a 11 ultra with the transparent back and all the bells and whistles that you all put on this. One put it on the MIA 11 series, all right: snapdragon, 888, 120, hertz, refresh rate wireless charge, reverse wireless charge, dual stereo speakers, quad HD, AMOLED panel. I mean come on bro.
