Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra vs iPhone 12 Pro Max Speed Test

The Xiaomi mi 10 ultra is one of the most powerful smartphones of 2020, but the iPhone 12 Pro max takes things to the next level. With its new gen 5 nanometers a14 bionic chip can the Xiaomi keep up with the iPhone in the speed test, with its snapdragon 865 processing chip run on seven nanometers, plus node technology, eight gigs of lpddr5 ram and UFS 3.1 storage, or will the iPhone knock it out the park with its a14 bionic chip, six gigs of lpddr4 x, ram and NVMe storage? Well, let's find out they've both been updated to their latest available software updates, we're going to be rocking the 120hz panel on the Xiaomi. The iPhone is kept at 60. We've made sure that better optimization is disabled for the apps that we'll be using on the Xiaomi, and I've enabled all transition effects when it comes to animations round. One will be all about boot. Fingerprints and face unlock run.

Two will be all about initial opening of app speed and round. Three will be all about ram management using my fingers over here, so to keep things accurate, we're going to pop GoPro footage at the bottom left-hand corner this is technique and without further ado. Let's go we're gonna start here in round one with a simple boot to see which one can power up faster. It is indeed the iPhone 12 Pro max with 15 seconds, as opposed to 18 seconds, on the mean 10 ultra picking up its first point in round one. Now, it's taking points after going into the actual phone and displaying the icons quicker testing out the secure unlock options that be an optical fingerprint sensor, underneath the display of the mini 10 ultra and the 3d face unlock of the iPhone.

The Xiaomi was faster every single time getting a three Wednesday and its first point in round one testing out the 2d facial recognition system on the Xiaomi, as opposed to the 3d unlock on the iPhone 12 Pro max. Once again, the Xiaomi was faster all three times so picking up at second and final point in round one two points: a piece there in round one making sure that we are hooked to the same Wi-Fi network max brightness and all apps are indeed killed in the background jumping into our first system. App, the settings at the iPhone 12 Pro max was slightly quicker that time around second system after the calculator app going into that one, it was too close to call there both different animations but landed up with the same end, time results and the third system app. The second last system app, that is, is the camera app going into that one. The Xiaomi actually opened it up quicker.

Will the iPhone open it up quicker, but the Xiaomi loaded, the page quicker. So no point was allocated flipping to the selfie cam. However, the Xiaomi picks up its first point and taking the snap the iPhone was quicker, but the Xiaomi saves us the gallery quicker. So no point was allocated over there. The iPhone opened up the photos app slightly quicker.

You Xiaomi opened up the actual photo faster, but the iPhone loaded, the page quicker. So no point was allocated there now. One point for the Xiaomi, as opposed to on the iPhone going into photoshop, express here, a photo editing, app. The iPhone 12 Pro max opens that one up quicker and going into the picture the iPhone open up the picture quicker, but the Xiaomi loaded, the page quicker. So once again, no point allocated just 1.50 Xiaomi, as opposed to three on the iPhone 12 Pro max now. Saving this photo to gallery that we recently took the Xiaomi was slightly quicker.

It said, save to gallery at the bottom of the screen as opposed to how slow it took on the iPhone at the top of the screen, not much slower but definitely point allocated toward the Xiaomi. Now two points for the Xiaomi three points for the iPhone 12 Pro max 90 Xiaomi matches things up with its third points. After opening up Adobe Premiere rush, a video editing app slightly quicker than the iPhone and going into the project a hell of a lot quicker now taking the lead with four points, as opposed to three on the iPhone 12 Pro max. That is a six point total for the Xiaomi, as opposed to a five point total for the iPhone 12 Pro max. We're going to go ahead and export this 4k 25 frames per second clip, compress it down to 1080p match the frame rate of 25 frames per second hit export bottom right hand: corner is when I keep it in real time and speed it up for the iPhone I'm going to keep it in real time, because it's just so darn fast check this out, 100 real time going through in just four seconds rocking that incredibly fast NVMe storage, I've sped it up on the Xiaomi now 200, and we got 14 seconds 10 seconds slower using UFS, 3.1 storage on the Xiaomi. Now the iPhone is matching points with four points.

A piece going into our next app is a music streaming, app Spotify and jumping into that when the iPhone 12 Pro max was slightly quicker. Picking up its fifth point once again in the lead. Next app is astral VPN, since we need a VPN here in China. The iPhone 12 Pro max opens it up noticeably quicker than the mi 10 ultra picking up at 6.9 two point gap between the two devices, and we're going to go ahead and enable these they turned on that pretty much the same time since there was still a loading icon in the center of the iPhone screen there. By the time the me10 ultra actually turned it on.

The iPhone did indeed snag a point. When opening up Google Chrome now seven points a three point lead over the mi 10 ultra and the next app is Facebook jumping into our first social media app over here. The Xiaomi will the iPhone actually open it up quicker, but the Xiaomi loaded, the page faster. So once more no point allocated over here, Instagram is slightly different, though the iPhone opened it up quicker and loaded. The page quicker picking up its eighth point now double the points of the 10 ultra.

The max is beating the ultra we'll have to keep going and see what happens going into twitter. The me10 ultra picks up its fifth point now narrowing the gap between It's and the iPhone 12 Pro max to just three points. Next app is YouTube. Jumping into that one. The me10 ultra opened it up quicker loaded, the entire page quicker and started playing the preview faster.

So it picked up at six point now, just two points behind the 12 pro max, which is quite a bit more expensive, but not such a big price difference, as we've seen with previous budget-friendly smartphones going into my profile, my channel, that is the iPhone 12 Pro max picks up its ninth point. Now widening the lead and widening it even more going into one of my videos quicker playing it quicker and loading. The page quicker picking up its 10th point now, with a four point lead over the mi 10 ultra, the mi10 ultra is Xiaomi's best device created. I cannot wait for the 11 mi 11 pro me.11 ultra and all those other funny names that come along with it, but nevertheless going into Netflix the meat 10 ultra was slightly quick over there. Picking up at seven point and going into my profile, the 12 pro max was quicker, so 7, 11, no pun intended next app that we'll be jumping into, is our first benchmark, which is geek bench five and going into geek bench five in a sec.

Here we go. The m10 ultra actually opens the app up quicker. Picking up its eighth point now, just three points once again behind the iPhone 12 Pro max, pretty much trailing this entire test so far, except for that one time, speeding through thirty-six hundred percent bottom right hand corner back to sixteen hundred percent. The iPhone picks up its 12 points with 159 seconds to run through the benchmark, as opposed to two minutes and 53 seconds on the Xiaomi, almost a minute slow on the Xiaomi and the single and multi-core score is worse on the Xiaomi, with 902 single on the Xiaomi, as opposed to 1588 on the iPhone 12 Pro max, though, we'll definitely see the snapdragon 88 come out next year, hopefully, on the 11 first before other android devices, I'm really excited to see what happens there going into 3dmark wildlife. The iPhone 12 Pro max opens up the app quicker and running through the benchmark, speed up again bottom right corner one minute nine seconds for the iPhone 12 Pro max, as opposed to one minute and 14 seconds, just five seconds slower on the mi 10 ultra.

The iPhone also got a score of triple six seven, as opposed to three double seven: eight on the Xiaomi, the Xiaomi got a fps of 22.6, with the iPhone got 39 fps. So once again, a big jump up on the iPhone over here running five nanometer tech, as opposed to the seven nanometer plus stick on the Xiaomi going into our first game of four here, subway surfers, which one can get its points in the gaming section. It is the iPhone 12 Pro max, and I'm putting quite a far ahead with 15 points, as opposed to eight points on the mi 10 ultra, almost double the points again with a seven point lead over the mi 10 ultra and going into temple run. We have a nice new themed winter land over here with temple, run 2 and the iPhone no surprise picks up its 16th point. Now double the points of the me10 ultra once more, it is really destroying the Xiaomi.

I didn't think it would be such a big difference between these two devices. I've used Xiaomi on a day-to-day basis, and I can assure you it is ridiculously snappy. However, the Xiaomi mi 10 ultra quickly strikes back opening up among us slightly faster than the iPhone 12 Pro max and the next game. The last app of the 20 over here PUBG mobile a lot longer to load than previous games. We've just been opening, which one can do it.

I'm going to speed it up bottom right-hand corner. It is the iPhone 12 Pro max with 12 seconds, once again, no pun there 19.5 seconds on the mi 10 ultra wrapping up around 2 with 17 points on the iPhone 12, as opposed to 9 on the mid 10 ultra. Now we're testing out ram management. We do have 8 gigs of ram on the Xiaomi, but we have poor ram management over there, and we have great ram optimizations on the iPhone, even though it is stuck to 6 gigs of ram a LP ddr4 x, as opposed to the lpddr5 on the Xiaomi. It is doing a much better job whenever the iPhone keeps an app open and the Xiaomi kills it.

The iPhone gets allocated at points. It's not happening the other way around, because the iPhone is not killing any apps and the Xiaomi is barely keeping any of them open, but the Xiaomi did strangely keep 3dmark open. It killed subway, surfers it killed, temple, run 2 and a very strange thing. Furthermore, it kept the last two games open over here: wrapping up round 3 with 12 points toward the iPhone 12 Pro max, as opposed to zero on the mi 10 ultra total score over here we have 11 points for the mini 10 ultra as opposed to 31 the iPhone 12 Pro max. The iPhone 12 Pro max absolutely destroyed the Xiaomi meter, and I'll trivia.

If we focus just on round two that is real performance raw speed, we've got 17 points for the 12 pro max, as opposed to 9 on the 10 ultra. I'm just fascinated to see what's going to happen with the fancy new snapdragon 888 next year, stay tuned for that one. This is technic, and I'll, see you in the next one.
