VIVO X60 Unboxing: DOES “ZEISS” MATTER?

Leica, Hassleblad, and Zeiss. We all know that these companies are really great in making camera lenses, or should I say camera system. So Huawei co-engineered with Leica. OnePlus co-eengineered with Hasselblad. And of course, the Vivo, this is it... They co-engineered with Zeiss.

Hey guys! It's your Tech Girl, Mary. And welcome back to my channel. For today's video, we'll talk about the newest phone of Vivo which is the Vivo X60. So earlier guys, I've said that smartphones are very popular as well for partnering or collaborating with famous camera makers. Of course, the photography side of smartphones will improve.

And of course, our consumers will be more encouraged especially when they hear that they co-engineered with this, you know, well-known camera brands. So, for the first time ever guys, Vivo partnered with Zeiss for their X60 series. Yes guys, it's not just their Vivo X60, but also they have the Vivo X60 Pro and the Vivo X60 Pro Plus. Not sure if those two will be released here in the Philippines but of course, I'm pretty sure the X60 will be launched here. And actually, this is already official, and you can already see some teasers on their Facebook page.

I have a couple of Zeiss lenses. This is one of those, guys. And the other one is what we're using right now. So rest assured, Zeiss is really well-known, and they're not just "popular". They already proved their, you know, name.

(entertainment music) So guys, let's now unbox it, and I'll give you my first impressions for the Vivo X60. So, from the box itself it's already a winner. For me, it's so beautiful. It has this texture that is sand that I've only seen now on a smartphone. As far as I know, the reason why their design is like this is because it's like looking directly on a camera lens.

I don't know if that's the meaning, but for me that's what I'm seeing. And of course, the X60. And it's just put there "Co-engineered with Zeiss" Anyway, the unit that I have is in shimmer blue. So opening the box guys, the phone can already be seen. There.

It's very different from our ordinary unboxing, 'cause usually guys, it's like half the size of this box is, of course, the box that we're unboxing. So our unboxing experience on this one is different and good. Of course, we have the phone. We have a free case guys, and this is not the ordinary case that we usually get. It's not a jelly case, obviously.

It's a hard transparent case. Actually, it's kind of frosted. And I notice that is sides are not covered. We have paperworks and of course, our poking tool. A USB type-C charging cable.

It comes with a free earphones that has headphone jack. But don't expect guys, because we don't have a 3.5mm audio port on the phone 'cause I saw a dongle. But it's okay. The important thing is that we have a dongle. And of course, a 33W Vivo Flash Charge 2.0 power brick. (entertainment music) So guys, we have here the phone.

Actually, the color that we have here is so beautiful. I'm kind of familiar already since I think I already saw this kind of rainbow effect or rainbow design in their previous smartphone. I think I saw this on the Vivo 20 series. But, it's quite different, because the previous Vivo V20 smartphones have flat rear panel, while the Vivo X60 has a curved glass back. Actually to be exact, it has the Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

And then for the display, it's also Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Of course, it came from their flagship lineup, so expect guys that its build quality is very flaghsip like. So let's have a very quick phone tour. On the top, it has a microphone. On the right, we have the volume rocker and the power button.

Below we have the SIM tray, of course. And unfortunately, it's not expandable via microSD card, but it's capable of, you know, having two SIM cards. We also have a USB type-C port, microphone, and its speaker grill. In terms of weight, the phone is not that heavy. It's actually very light to the touch.

It's 176g to be exact. And its design language is not that far from its predecessor, the Vivo 50. Actually, the one on my left is the Vivo X50 Pro that we, of course, reviewed last year. I still have it... thankfully.

And yes, they both have a matte finish. Overall, for me, my first impressions for its design... It's okay guys. I've felt the flagship experience. Obviously, it doesn't feel cheap at all.

And what's important is that it's not a smudge manget. Although, this type of finish is kind of slippery. But if we put the free case from its box, it's a great help guys. Our phone is not that slippery anymore. But guys, it's just kind of weird, because its case doesn't cover the sides.

Usually, when there is a case like this, our display is curved. But the Vivo X60 does have a flat display. (entertainment music) And speaking of the display, what is up with the display, or what's new? The Vivo X60 has 6.56 inches AMOLED display that has 120Hz refresh rate, and it's capable of HDR10+. And as I've mentioned earlier, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. So far, I'm liking the display.

It's very smooth. It's actually buttery smooth, because of its 120Hz refresh rate. And its in-display fingerprint sensor is fast. And in fairness guys, its side bezels are thin including the chin. (entertainment music) Other things that you need to know about the Vivo X60... It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875G.

Yes guys, our Vivo X60 is 5g ready, that has 7nm and of course, and Adreno 650 GPU. And of course, the unit that I have has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Wow. (entertainment music) Now very quickly, I'll be telling you guys about its camera specs. But guys, I won't be giving too much, you know, idea or clue about the capability of this phone, 'cause we'll talk about it shortly on our review video.

And I also got a dedicated camera review. Its main camera is 48MP, 13MP for the telephoto lens, 13MP for the ultrawide lens, and of course 32MP for its front camera. (entertainment music) Actually, the latest Funtouch 11.1 based on Android 11 is what we have on Vivo X60. Probably the reason why the phone is thin and it's kind of light, is because of its battery that is 4,300mAh. I'm not saying that it's small, but that's one of the main reason guys why smartphones are light.

And I'm pretty sure that this is also fast to fully charge because it's capable of 33W fast charging. I'm curious guys on what this Vivo X60 can offer. How about you guys? What can you say about the new phone of Vivo? Do you approve of it? If you have any more questions or want to learn more about this new Vivo X60, just say it on the comment section below guys, and then we'll answer those on our review video. So yes, that is it guys for our very short unboxing and first impressions of the Vivo X60. Again, it's your Tech Girl, Mary, and see you on my next video guys.

Don't forget to subscribe. Bye!.
