Unboxing my iPhone 8 Plus: Go for the Gold! By The Tech Reviewer

Hi everyone- this is Kristen, and today I'm here with my launch day, iPhone 8 plus in the new gold color I'm gonna, do a quick, unboxing video very excited to see how the new gold color is going to look decided to go with a 64 gig size this time and use iCloud storage and let's see how that works out.256 just seemed awfully, awfully big okay moment of truth. Here am I going to like the new gold color or not I'm, just a little on the apprehensive side. Beautiful box, though, really like this box. Okay, we've got our regulatory information. Let's just set aside the beautiful phone here for a second to look at the rest of the box contents. We've got our charging block, we've got our lightning ear.

Pods and you've got the Lightning adapter if you want to use other headphones, and we have the charging cable- nothing surprising here at all. So, looking at the color on the sides of the phone to my eye, it's very different, quite a bit darker than the original gold color that iPhones came in, but it's not at all the same as the rose gold color either it's not pink in the same way it's faintly pink. But if you hold it up to say the Apple Watch in rose gold, it's really quite different. Definitely much more of a coppery hue. Looking at the back! Well, it's kind of a pale gold, color I, think it'll be a little easier to see it once we get the plastic off.

So let's do the great unveiling. This part is always so exciting, I'm very excited to have a glass back phone I. Think that's going to be really nice! So looking at it, it's a very subtle shade. It catches the light, interestingly, and I think it just has a really classy, very discreet kind of look to it. It's not overpower ring, not clingy, just very, very nice, relatively feminine looking, but I think that guys can rock this as well.

Just a really, really nice look to it matches quite nicely with the gold on the sides, but doesn't try to be the same color at all. It's really quite different, but I think it looks quite fantastic. Actually you can see here you have the gold around your camera lens, almost hidden antenna lines here. This just seems like a very refined, very attractive and classy. Looking iPhone I, like the fact that we no longer have all of that regulatory stuff, and now it just says iPhone doesn't have all the numbers and letters and design to California and all of that, it's just a much cleaner, look, much nicer, so overall, very, very attractive, colored back.

So let's turn this on, and we can see how it looks from the front getting all started up here. So exciting can't wait to get this set up, and you know it's a lot easier. If you have both of your devices on iOS 11 now you can just put them head-to-head, and then you can start getting everything set up. So it's no longer. Do you have to do the whole big, I, Tunes, backup and everything like that or even restore to iCloud? Apparently you can just put this next to the other phone and then scan the one with the other, and it will just do all the work by itself.

So I'm actually really excited about that part. So that's basically it that's your unboxing, it's yet. Another iPhone looks very similar to the iPhone 7 plus, but yet it's different, and it's nice I love the glass back. It has a very nice feel to it. It's a lot less slippery feeling of than the aluminum, and it's going to be much more scratch resistant.

The early results that I've seen from scratch. Resistance testing shows that glass really rules in terms of scratch. Resistance much, much better than aluminum gets pretty ugly, but some glass, as long as it doesn't shatter, is going to work out really, really well so very excited to be using this new phone, thanks.
