TicWatch Pro (2020) | Unboxing & Tour | What's Changed?

Hello, may you ravish in person you. This is Christmas expert and this bad boy here is the tick watch. Plot 2020 an updated version of the classic Smartwatch from last year with a couple of little changes. As far as the specs and the design go, I'm going to go fully. Unbox now run through the hardware and the software. So you know what to expect if you decide to invest in a tick watch, Pro 2020 and from all the latest greatest tech, this new box, it's going and ding that notifications Bell cheers now the big thing with the tick watch Pro is, of course, the fact that it has a dual layer display you've got an LCD screen on top of an AMOLED screen which just allows you to prolong the battery life, because you don't have to because be activating that bright, colorful power, sapping AMOLED display, if you just want to check the time things like that and mambo also recently launched the tick watch.

Pro LTE editions got full 4G support. So if you want to watch that's permanently skin connected without having to tether to your smartphone, quite handy, if you're going out jogging a lot of things like that, then that is an option as well: I'm gonna, full unboxing here and tech spurts go check them out for all you need to know, and there we have it. There is the tick watch, Pro 20/20 in all of its glory. That's just stirred. Stick that aside for a second check out exactly what else get in the box show be fairly straightforward stuff.

You basically get the proprietary charging dock. So whenever you need to recharge the tick watch, Pro 20/20 just slap it on. There connects the other end, of course, to a plug, which you do not get bundled. Unfortunately, here in the box, so you can just connect it to a computer, something like that get a big fat manual, but it's in all the languages. So don't worry, there's not too much to learn or worry about, and that should lock nice and easy.

Now, fans of the previous tick watch poor will notice that what boy hasn't exactly changed up. The design a huge amount, it's still a chunky monkey still a carbon fiber kiss, but it is a bit tougher. At least it's got a standard certification. Now it's military standard, 810g certified basically means it should be able to withstand extreme temperatures, get a bit of punishment and, of course it's ip68 water and dust resistant. So you can submerge it that's from about a meter and a half for around 30 minutes, or so it should be absolutely fine for your swimming sessions and such forth else before you do have some find the detail: ins on there, for instance, the minutes or h, to run the circumference of the watch face there.

Overall, it sort of looks alright as long as you're into you're chunky. Smartwatches then yeah does the job, and you've got genuine. Italian leather strap action as well, which is a nice bit of extra premium, touch not too bad for something that cost two hundred twenty quid I'll just slap it on there now I've got quite spindly submissive, feminine wrists, so smartwatches tend to look a bit chunky and ridiculous on me, but it's not too bad. At least the strap is a comfortable fit and like the original tick watch Paul this new 2020 model that runs a bit where OS by Google's will of course have to download the wear. Os app onto your smartphone, then just hit start setup, agree to all the various terms and conditions and, as you can see there, it's just pops straight up in the menu nice and easy, and hopefully the two should pair up we'll, probably do a quick software update, and then we'll be ready to rock.

So that's it pair and yep all good connector job done, and so there we go have to send a bunch of permissions and wait for a big update. I happen. The tick watch pro is now ready for action so that dual layer screen hasn't changed up at all for the tick watch pro 20/20 compared with the original model. What you're staring at now is the LCD screen sat on top of the AMOLED Quentin ugly little monochrome affair. But it's perfect I just want to check out the time.

Get steps update things like that, because it's very, very power efficient and then, when you want to wake up the tick watch, Pro 2020 that AMOLED screen kicks in, like the LCD, basically shuts down on top of it, and then you can check out all of your various apps and check out your notifications get access to all the where or s features that you'd expect, including the Google Assistant and also while that LCD is quite difficult to see when you're outdoors or at nighttime, because it's not backlit or anything like that. Of course, the AMOLED screen is absolutely perfect, boost it up to a very, very ICU and maximum brightness, otherwise just leave it on the automatic brightness. If you want to preserve a bit of battery life as usual with, whereas of course you can change the watch face at any time, there are plenty of other options available. You can download tons and tons from the Google Wear OS store now I'm not going to take you on a full tour of where or West, because I've done that several times every time, I review, aware or device pretty much, but it gives you access to most of the features that you would kind of expect from a small. It's like.

So the notification support, if you dive into the apps you've, got quite a few on there already by default, and you can of course, download tons of new from the way OS store. It's all the exercise style stuff. You've got plenty of that shenanigans to help. You track your workouts to actually have lead you through a workout as well, because you've got the tick, health and tick pulse and all that kind of stuff on there, as well as the Google stuff. It's got.

A full built-in heart rate monitor, can track your pulse 24 hours a day, so got a few 1s or see your recovery rates all that kind of stuff. What really gets your heart racing throughout the day of review and sexy tech obviously gets mind gone and, of course, you've got built-in accelerometer and everything to measure your steps throughout the day, and you've got built-in GPS as well as you can actually view smartphone at home. If you want to go out for a jog but track your run at the same time, it's got all of that built in and your knowledge you've got a bit of Google peer support on there as well, because just like the original tick watch pour, this 2020 model has built-in NFC, seeing just tap to pay for your shenanigans and off you go now packed inside the tick watch brought 20 20 is the same. Snapdragon wear chipset as the original model beat do get twice the amount of RAM in this new model. You've now got one full gig.

Instead of just the 512 megabytes, so far, touch wood seems nice and nippy. So you know stutters or stumbles, even though it's just been set up, see what it expects the odd little pause here and there but yeah. It seems absolutely v you're just nipping through the screen scroll and seems nice and smooth and that's before, you've got a built-in mic and speaker in there for the Google assistants. Let's just test that out so okay Google. What's the latest headlines, parties make me feel like an alien in a person suits and drinking to survive them didn't help.

Guardian, you've gone off the rails, MIT seriously we're on the cusp of a zombie pandemic, and this is the best that headlines can come up with Jesus Christ. As for the battery. Well, it's a fairly standard size.415 William cell stuffed inside the tick watch broad 2020 same size as the original, a model, because the fact that you've got that dual display technology means that you're not causally. Turning on the watch to check your time, which means you get a little longer each hour of it compared with a lot of Android, Wear OS alternatives, you tend to get miles on two to three days from a full charge, but at any point, if you want going away for like a full week out in the wilderness, you want to preserve that battery life. What you can do is you can turn on the essential mod you'll find this tucked away in the app just give that a little tap you tap, as you can see that says, switch to essential modes and, as you see that I greatly extend battery life, all you need to do to get out of it again is press and hold the power key and essentially on this mode.

All you get is that LCD active, so you can't actually get into the AMOLED screen. You can't activate it at any point. That's absolutely perfect before you want to do, is just check the time the day your current step count things like that job done. Basically, of course, you won't be able to get any of your sort, proper notifications support. You won't be able to access any of your apps or anything.

So if you do need to get back into all of that, just hold that power button in, and it will boot back up into the usual state and there you have it. That a nutshell is a new tick watch brought 2020 edition, as you can see a couple of little updates compared with the original, but nothing too evolutionary or indeed revolutionary, and you don't get the LTE support, like you do in the 4G models. So you can't see it permanently connected without a connection to your smartphone, but it's got all that GPS smarts in there NFC hot rates, and so all the stuff. You would expect from a sort of 200-pound Smartwatch, and it seems like a pretty rugged device as well. Thanks to that military standard, 810g support, ip68 water and dust resistance, or if you're going to be gone out into the wilderness, you want something that's going to survive.

Quite happily, especially with that prolongs battery life in the essential mode. Then I'll do the job.
