Hey, what's up guys soldier knows best here how are you doing today? Well, I'm doing pretty good, because I woke up this morning to a present waiting at my doorstep, and inside this wrapping is a phone that I'm really excited to use, and it only costs 349, and I think you know what it is. Yes, this is the brand-new Pixel 4a, so this phone is coming from Google really trying to give you a low price point. Great camera performance and also too should be good software performance too. So, let's get inside this thing, so it has a little pull tab here. So this phone is the follow-up two and of course I messed that up. But this is the follow-up to the Pixel 3a, and so that phone was perfect just because of its low price point, but also too good camera performance, and this one is just going to be better all around now there is only one version of this phone to choose from, and so this comes with: 128 gigabytes of storage, which is up from 64 gigabytes on d3a and then also comes with six gigabytes of ram and that's up from four gigabytes, and this does also have the Qualcomm snapdragon 730 g processor, inside it not a trailblazer, but definitely good enough to get the job done.
So we have the lid off. Let's go ahead and take this out of here. You see it does come in a matte black color there, so I'm liking that and so yeah. We have our quick start guide, some other information, your sim card, ejector tool and yeah all the stuff. We now and then also inside the box.
Furthermore, we do have a wall charger and this is going to be a little of a weird year, because we may see a thousand dollar iPhone. That doesn't come with the charger, but we have this 350 dollar pixel that does um, but anyway you do have an USB cable here, and then we also have this USB the USB a tool here that will allow you to kind of transfer your information from an older phone. If you wanted to all right, that's enough of the box. Let's set that to the side and now, let's get to the phone. So let me take this plastic wrapping off and boom.
Yes, I am really liking this matte finish on here, so it should be a little better as far as fingerprints, and things like that now you do have the return of the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone. I like the location of it and then also you do see that you have the Google logo there and then also you have this one single camera on the back. So it's a pretty big module for just one single camera, but they're trying to make it kind of look like their previous pixel phones. Now also at the top, you will find a headphone port which is good to see that still sticking around here and then at the bottom. You do find an USB port and then also it does have stereo speakers at the bottom.
And so here is a quick comparison with this main rival in this price range, and this is the iPhone SE so yeah you can see that the Pixel 4a is going to be a little wider and also a little taller, but both are still going to be perfect sizes, so I'm liking the size of this Pixel 4a and now, as I flip it over, and let me turn it on for the first time boom there we go, and so this has a 5.81 inch OLED display with a resolution of 2340x1080, and then you will also see a single punch hole camera for the front-facing camera there and yeah. Let me go ahead and get through the setup process: real, quick, okay, so I am set up ready to go here and let me check something real, quick, the back of the phone because of this matte finish. You see that I've been using this thing for a few minutes now, and you can barely see any fingerprints at all, and I have to put on lotion before I do these type of videos, because right here I get really ashy a lot um. So it's doing a pretty good job of keeping those fingerprints away and so yeah I did set up my fingerprints and the scanner works pretty fast there, but I will be missing the face unlock feature: that's on the pixel 4, which I think is one of the best in the business right up there with face ID. But of course you don't get that on this phone now the magic of YouTube technology.
I already took some pictures, and I'm going to be throwing them up on the screen here. So I haven't been able to look at them just yet, of course, but if they're anything like the pixel phones that have come before this one, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be liking the photos and just for the heck of it here is a video as well. Now, I'm not expecting a lot from videos when it comes to pixel phones but um. Hopefully it will be a little improved. But I'll talk a little more about that.
In my review and as I mentioned earlier, the processor inside this phone is not going to blow your socks off, but I think it's going to be good enough for running stock android and this phone is running android, 10, and we'll be getting at least three years a software update. So that's a good advantage of getting a pixel phone but yeah. This is the Pixel 4a. What do you think about this phone leave? Your comment down below hit that subscribe button and that notification bell, because I do have a lot more content coming on this phone and also a bunch of other stuff happening this week, and this phone does launch on August 20th, and again it's 3 50. , so yeah there.
It is anyway guys. I do want to thank you for watching this video and I will catch you later peace. I did four for the four eight, never mind peace.
