TCL 10 Pro 48 Hours Later: This Phone is a Beast! By Jeff Springer

What's up YouTube Jeff back again and today, I have the brand new TCL 10 Pro TCL, sent out to me for review I've been using it for a couple of days now: I'm, not gonna, do a formal unboxing, because I already did one for the TCL 10l and the contents of the Box are pretty similar. Go check out that video a link in the description, but this is the sort of flagship version of the TCL 10 line right now. It's got a lot of features that were not on the 10 l, and it's still under five hundred dollars. Six point: four: seven inch: F HD Plus AMOLED display HDR 1064, megapixel camera with a multicar array, 128, gigs storage, 6, gigs ram and a massive 4500 William hour battery, which is one of the things that I think is one of the biggest selling points. So let me give you guys a tour of this phone, and I've got to tell you before I even get started. I absolutely have been loving this phone so far. This phone is really impressive in a number of ways. So, first, the design is really beautiful. I really love this gray color.

You can see it's got a gradient on the back. It goes from light gray to darker gray, like a gunmetal on the back very similar camera ray here to the one that's on the TCL.10L they've got the 64 megapixel right there, and you also got the macro lens there on the back course. You got your flashes on side. There, power button volume, rocker you've got your quick key over here, which you can launch an app or shortcuts. I've got this quick key set to just open Twitter for me, which I like to use it for can use it for Google Assistant.

You can use it for an action, a lot of different things. You can do with that on the bottom, you got your charging USB 3.0 quick charge, sim slot speakers on the top. Furthermore, you do have a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, which is awesome. That's one thing: that's missing from a ton of Android flagships, and you've got it on this phone. Here, that's priced at $450.

Another thing that you'll find on the top, which is awesome that you don't find on very mini flagships, is an IR blaster right there. That's awesome, that's a blast! From the past. We used to have phones like every phone that came out at an IR blaster, but you could use to control the TV kind of fun when you're out somewhere. You know in a public place, you can change the channel people don't know. What's going on, you can do that with this phone change, the channel on your own TV ? you've got a built-in to the display fingerprint sensor very fast and efficient.

That's really impressive! On a $450 device, very clean software, just like on the TCL 10 L that I detailed before the software is actually pretty close to stock and the settings very, very clean you've got dark mode built in you. Guys can see what it looks like here with the dark mode. Very nice gesture support. You can choose your gestures either from the side or from the bottom, depending on which ones you like a lot of really nice built-in software features. Like I said, the smart key you've got game mode, one handed mode you've got an edge bar like they've had in the past.

Samsung phones really pretty much anything that you could possibly want, like I, went to driving mode pretty much anything you could want in terms of software, but it's still pretty light, pretty easy to use and pretty close to what you would think of as being stock Android. Now. Some other really amazing things about this device is that this thing has a 4500 William hour battery and so far I've used it. For a couple of days, the battery life has been impressive again I'm, using this on Wi-Fi, only because I'm at home, pretty much not going anywhere like most of us. These days, I'm getting close to a towers screen on time, a little over, maybe sometimes that's pretty close to what I get on the galaxy has 20 ultra, which I think also has pretty impressive battery life.

At the end of the day, this phone also has reverse wireless charging. So if you're looking for that kind of flagship feature, I know that's not necessarily a feature that is gonna, be you know something that's going to sway. Anyone at the end of the day but I think reverse wireless charging is a very impressive feature to have on a $450 phone with this kind of beautiful design. You do have slightly curved edges here. Kind of you know, as I mentioned before the design and the actual fit and feel and hand feels really nice to give you guys a size comparison.

Here's the one plus eight, which I have it's pretty close, the one plus a's a little taller, I! Guess if you put them side-by-side not by much honestly, if you have a one plus eight or if you've seen the one plus eight, these phones are pretty close in their overall size in terms of width in terms of everything, even in terms of their thickness. One thing I will say, though, is that the camera hump on the 1 plus 8 protrudes a little more. The one on the back is completely flat for the Alcatel 10 Pro. Someone else asked me in on Twitter about Verizon support. I am using this thing with Verizon, and I am getting LTE.

As you can see right, there, I've got my Verizon SIM card in here now, a couple of other things, I want to mention just preliminary. This thing has a really nice AMOLED display the blacks on it are beautiful, I'm, going to show you this beautiful wallpaper from backdrops, which I've been using on my ass 20, all tray because of the beautiful AMOLED display. The blacks are really quite deep. On this display and overall I have just been very impressed. You can see the nice color contrast very, very rich AMOLED display brightness is nice as well.

Taking this outside a couple of times to check the mail here in the Arizona. Sun can see everything pretty much perfectly when it comes to this device, so, so far no lag very snappy watching media is great. The one place I will say that maybe it doesn't stand up to the +8 which I'm going to compare it to the 1 plus 8 in a video specifically for that comparison, because the 1 plus 8 is more expensive, and they have similar feature sets. The one thing I will say is the speaker on this: guy doesn't get as loud, and it's not as clear at high volumes as the 1 plus 8. So that is something to think about now.

Of course, I'll talk more about this in the review, because this is just an initial impression, video kind of unboxing and impressions, video, not a full review, but the other thing I want to mention before I do more testing is that the software is great. The one thing people keep asking me about our updates. Well, we don't really know about updates yet because this is the first TCL branded phones, they've made other phones before, but it's their first flagship line of T cell phones with the T cell 10 line. This will get Android 11, but we'll see how updates go and how quick they are as we go forward. So those are some initial impressions.

Obviously, I'll talk more about battery life. You know, day to day show some charts do some camera shots and all that core stuff performance I.
