Gaming case for mobile devices. Otter box now offers hardy products to make mobile gaming easy and secure designed to work with Xbox One and Xbox Series X, and s controllers. These are a great way to take gaming away from your console. If you have one of these controllers, so let's dive in and take a closer look at these accessories from otter box. So you don't miss any upcoming videos: hey everyone, I'm Jordan, with nine to five toys. So, first up, let's take a look at the mobile gaming clip from otter box. So, as you can see here, I have the clip installed on an Xbox Series X, controller and the clip will work for both series x and s controllers and also Xbox. One controller there's actually a little adjustment here, where you can extend it out to clip onto the two different variations and installing it is super easy. It just clips up here near the front port wraps all the way around the top of the controller and then there's another little clip that secures into the accessory port in the back for a very secure connection, and it may be a little confusing or look a little weird at first I mean it is otter box, and so they definitely put a function.

I think over form. You know to make sure that their things are durable and very functional. But as you can see, there is this locking mechanism up here near the top. So you unlock that, and then you can change this angle here to set it where you want, and then you lock that down, and then you can change the angle of this little holder for your phone and then when you are ready to attach a device. You flip these phone stops on the bottom and top, and then your device can just sit in there and then there is like a spring-loaded, little holder in there.

So as you can see, it's really easy to get the know perfect angle, for yourself for gaming and coming in at 30. This is a great accessory uh to make you know better use of your Xbox controller. If this is something you're planning on doing one thing to keep in note here, though, uh not all the Xbox controllers are the same, and they don't all work with Bluetooth right now with iOS devices. So the very original xbox one controller don't have any Bluetooth support, but then, with the Xbox One X and s, those controllers did start supporting Bluetooth, but also uh. This is supposed to work with series x and s controllers as well, but yet there isn't support for this through iOS and through the Xbox controllers on the Xbox website.

It says that this is going to be coming in the future as they're working out the details, but at least at the time of recording this and publishing this uh, that's not available. So definitely keep that in mind, and we'll do a quick comparison here. We can see the differences between the older Xbox controller that does not have Bluetooth and the newer one that does so on the older one. You can see its kind of a separate piece up here near the top near the Xbox button. It's a glossy or black and then on the newer one.

That's actually all one piece: it's that same kind of flat or matte black up there near the Xbox button. So these newer ones that are one piece are the ones that have Bluetooth, and this is going to be the only option that works with an iOS device. Currently, like I said, support is coming for the series x and s controllers, which is what I have the clip on right now, but definitely keep that in mind. You know don't purchase that until you see that there is support for the series x and s controllers, all that to say if you have an Xbox One X or s controller uh everything works perfectly. You know it's really easy to connect this via Bluetooth.

Furthermore, you sync it, and you know just like you, would to your console, you'll press and hold that sync button, and then you can connect to Bluetooth, and then you can use your iOS device all right. So next up. I want to talk about the case. So obviously you know otter box they're well known for their really rugged cases, and they have some slimmer cases as well, and now they have this gaming case and as you can see, it's a pretty slim case overall, especially by otter box standards. I would say, but it definitely provides you know all the bumper and edge protection that you would expect and hope for, and they do have cases for everything, iPhone, 8 and up, as well as the Samsung Galaxy s21 plus 5g.

So that's the only non-apple device but, like I said everything from iPhone 8 and up, you will be able to get a case for, and this easy grip gaming case does come in at 55 and another cool thing in here for gaming, which is the focus with this case. Is it? Has this they're calling this their cool virgins' technology, which is something on the back, that's supposed to help dissipate heat and help prevent mobile devices from overheating when gaming? So that's just another cool technology built in here to make gaming a little better on iOS devices with this case installed and additionally, it is, you know, a really easy texture to grip and on the back here, there's a little of texture as well, so it makes it easy to grip, and it's not. It doesn't feel like it's going to slip out of your hands and otter box is also now offering a case for your controller they're calling their controller shell, and it is going to come in a few different colors. Obviously we have the white variant here. I think they have a black as well, and it comes in like three pieces that you can.

You know easily pull it apart and also has two different pads for the sides included as well. I guess, if one you know wears out or something like that or gets scuffed up, they have another one you can put in there, and they do have two versions of this available for both the xbox one controller and the Xbox Series X, and s controllers. So uh like we said the series x and s isn't supporting Bluetooth right now, so you probably want to hold off on that. But you know, even if you just want these as a protective case for your controller uh. These are a great option and these do come in at 40 dollars, so very similar to what you would pay for, like a decent quality phone case and for the gamer on the go.

Who also wants some more protection for their controller. Otter box also has this carrying case, so a lot of cool thoughtful features built into this on top here. This can change into a stand, so you can kind of set your phone and prop it up there for gaming instead of holding it in your hand. So that's a nice little way to kind of you know just set up a screen set up your display, and then you can hold your controller. You don't have to feel like you have to have it connected to your controller and then, in addition to that, there is a pass through a cable pass-through on the front as well, so you can put a cable through there and charge your controller while it's in the case and with the clip mounted on the controller- and you can see its kind of in its transport position.

Put those phone stops down. Everything fits perfectly in the case as well, so there's plenty of room in there to keep the clip installed on your phone. So, as you can see, it fits in there really well pretty cool and obviously there's a little handle on the bottom to make it easier to carry with you, as well as being a few pouches on the inside for accessories like cables or anything else that you want to throw in there and the gaming carrying case comes in at 45. We've also reviewed a couple of other different uh mobile controllers for iOS devices recently, so definitely want to highlight those as well, because this is great if you already have an Xbox One controller or an Xbox Series X, controller with compatibility coming up. But there are some really great other options as well, so the racer fish and the backbone one both come in at 100 both offer a direct lightning connection to an iOS device.

And so that's going to give you a low latency connection, and it's a much more compact form factor overall for mobile gaming and those still do have all the buttons and inputs that you would expect to find on a full-fledged Xbox controller. But like was that it's in a much more compact form factor, and I'll put links to those reviews down in the description, so overall wrapping up here, it's great to see more companies entering the accessory market for mobile gaming. Obviously, mobile gaming is becoming a lot more popular, and so you know with the name like otter box. It makes sense that they would come out with a line like this. I'm really looking forward to support for the Xbox Series X and s controllers, it's kind of a bummer that they aren't quite available yet, but that should be coming soon, and maybe we'll do an update video when that is available.

But everything else here is really high quality, and you know you would expect nothing less from otter box. So if you do a lot of gaming with an Xbox One controller, this clip just makes it really easy, very convenient and extremely secure on here, as well as with this controller shell, if you want to add a little more protection to your controller, that is a great way to do it and that'll do it for our quick, hands-on review of these otter box gaming accessories. Let us know what you think about them down in the comments below thanks for watching. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing.
