SUPER FAST !!! Sabrent ROCKET XTRM 1TB Thunderbolt 3 External SSD Speed Test Review By Geekanoids

Hello internet world welcome to a new live video on the geeky knowledge channel. In today's video I've got this small little tiny, portable, but very fast Thunderbolt 3 solid-state drive. This is a NVMe solid-state drive in this beautifully crafted case very kindly setting to me free of charge for this video by Sabrina. They haven't asked to pre-approve the video or for me to say anything in particular. What you're going to see during this video is a speed test of this, and also we're going to discuss the different use case scenarios. This is called the Sabrina rocket extreme or MTR M, it's available in different capacities, 500 gigabytes, one terabyte and 2 terabytes.

This is the middle one, the one terabyte version, and we're going to show you what you get inside the box. Look. We have a closer look at this, just gorgeous little device and also speed test. Of course. Now this is life, so big hello to all those who tuning in live, including Austin, showing Mr.

Let's take a look at what we get inside the box. Well, first, let's just take a little look at just the sleeve.

This is the sub rent rocket AT RM Thunderbolt 3 external aluminum SSD. It is also backwards compatible with USB-C as far as I know, but you're not going to get the speeds, an issue you're using it on Thunderbolt 3 on the back here. We've just got some of the features it says extremely fast, NVMe, the top and bottom of the case is made of an aluminum alloy construction. So it's really solid all-metal construction, optimized, passive cooling inside as well and, of course, certified Thunderbolt 3. It works with Windows or Mac, and that's pretty much it.

That is the, and then you also get a nice salt case. I think this is, this is plastic, but it's really nicely made and inside we have got some instructions, and then we've also got it says: USB cable here, but indeed it's a Thunderbolt, cable and included, and then the space there where you can pop the drive. If you want to use this for transportation, it's a nice little case, and then we also get the Thunderbolt. Three cable is about a meter long, so meter, long, cable for plugging in the drive we're going to do that very shortly, and then, of course, the drive itself. We've got the supreme branding just here: Thunderbolt logo, all metal enclosure, little rubberized feet on the bottom and, of course the Thunderbolt 3 connection.

So let's do a speed test. Shall we, so we're just going to plug this in? Let's pull my MacBook Pro interview, and we're going to plug this into the side like so, and just wait for this to load up now, we're going to be testing it with Black magic designs, disk speed test software. So let's just get this up and running and I will show you the screen. This is the best of our founder. Doing these tests I used to do screen capture, why stars testing speed, but that won't show the full speed or something else to know is there is a tiny little LED, just not sure if you can see that just on the corner there, that's really nice, nice and subtle, just hidden on the corner there.

So let's get this up and running, so we're going to select this drive as a target drive, though there we go and then let's just tip this down, you have to exclude excuse some reflections, but we've now got it selected as a target Drive, and we're going to click start speed test. Now this is connected via Thunderbolt 3. Oh, you can see. Look at that read speed! Oh my goodness. So we've got a White, speed of 2071, a 2001 hundred megabytes per second on the right speed and averaging out at 2200 megabytes per second just over.

In fact, two thousand two hundred and ten megabytes per second on the read speed. That is a phenomenal, absolutely superb performance, oh my goodness, that is so, so fast and, as you can see, from the various check marks or ticks on this grid, the Black magic Design disk speed test software tells you what will it work with, and we can actually edit direct from the drive up to 4k resolution 10 bites 4 to 2. So you could use this for storing your video files on, and you could edit in Adobe Premiere da Vinci Resolve, Final, Cut, Pro 10, for example, direct from the drive, so no need to transfer your footage over to your computer. You can actually edit direct from that's a brain rocky extreme. That is phenomenal performance, very, very good indeed.

So, let's just stop that test just so, so fast that is so fast. Let's just deject this from my desktop and pull out the cable wow that is extremely fast, very, very fast. Indeed. I can't believe that performance just unplug this end of the cable, so just to recap, nice 1, meter, cable I, was expecting it to be a lot shorter, cable because it's a port all drive. But it's a welcome addition to have a longer cable in there.

What about that then? Look at the size of it is so, so compact the Sabrina Extreme, has surpassed all of my expectations. I've been using this over the past few days to actually edit some video files from and the read and write speeds are phenomenal, really extremely high performance, NVMe SSD in here up to 2, terabytes in capacity and so well-built. We've got little chamfer. The edges around the case, really nice attention to detail that nice little subtle, pinhole LED on there as well Thunderbolt 3, poor, little rubberized pads on the bottom and in such a compact package. Now it's not, not hot to the touch you can feel there is a little warmer than when I first started, but hardly anything it's got a nice sort of build quality and a nice weight to it, but a very, very portable Drive.

This is ideal for if your Video Editor photographer so many genres of music or so many use case, scenarios I should say, but for certainly somebody who edits content on the go to have this really fast storage in such a compact and well-built package with such an amazing performance is a perfect option.
