Sony Xperia 1 ii vs Galaxy Note 10 Plus Camera Comparison

How's, everyone grants here welcome back to another camera comparison, video with the Sony Xperia one mark ii. This time, I've got it up against the Galaxy Note 10 plus, so if you've missed my other comparisons with the Xperia one mark ii, up against the Pixel 4 XL or the iPhone 11 Pro max I'll leave links in the description or maybe some cards around here in case, you want to go ahead and check out those comparisons as well. Now this is going to be a comparison in good lighting conditions. So, if you're looking for a low-light camera comparison between these two phones stay tuned to the channel, because I'll be doing a separate video on that now, like I always do I'll, be showing you a bunch of photos and videos that are being shot in full, auto mode on both these phones. The pictures on the Xperia one r2 were shot on the camera pro app and so like. I always do take a look at all these photos and videos first, and I'll come back at the end and let you know what I thought about how each of these phones performed.

So let's go ahead and get to the photos and videos, so hey everyone! So here is some 1080p 30 frames per second footage from both the note 10 plus and the Xperia one mark ii, as you can see here, we're in the hills so hopefully get a lot better footage than normal. Today, really nice view clear visibility, no clouds in the sky. We test the zoom out a little here. So Xperia mark ii has a three times digital zoom kind of see. The golf course out there in the distance- and this is two times on the note 10 plus- and this can go a little farther in, so we'll go about four times on the note, 10 and see what that looks like, and this can go all the way out to 10 times.

Digital zoom and the audio is probably fading out on the note 10 plus, because I've got the zoom audio on, but there you can get a clear view of the golf course there on the note, 10 plus, and we'll back them both out. So there's some quick 1080p full HD footage on both phones here and here are again at 1080p this time, with the ultra-wide angle, cameras on both phones. So again, since Xperia you have to stop and start recording again. I really want to show you comparison between these two phones and their ultra-wide angle. Cameras again.

This is at 1080p 30 frames per second didn't want to waste this view, and I thought I want to give you a quick sample of what this ultrawide camera looks like here, and here we are same scene, obviously this time at 4k 30 frames per second, so I'm not planning on shooting any 60 frames per second footage, even though both these phones can shoot in 60 frames per second at 1080p and 4k uh. The experiment can only do 4k60 on the cinema pro app though, but I'm not going to do 60 frames per second just because this video is getting rendered out in 30 frames per second, so you won't really be able to see it in its native frame rate. But do let me know if you want to see that, maybe in a separate video, and again we can test out the zoom real, quick, so still three times zoom here on the opera, so that's the maximum you're going to get if you want more zoom you're going to have to stop the recording switch into the telephoto lens and then zoom farther in from there. If you still need it again here we can see the two times zoom there on the note plus, and we should still retain full zoom here, do a little more that's about four times it's just about lower five times in there, and you still have two or ten times to zoom. On the note, 10 plus looks a little more green in the viewfinder at 4k than it did at 1080p nice lake, in the parking there in the distance too, and we'll zoom back out, and so real nice thing about the note 10 plus is you can actually switch between the lenses.

So this is the main wide I can go into the telephoto and then back up to the ultra-wide. Let's do that there we go and the Xperia 1 mark 2. Unfortunately, you can't do that if you want to switch between the lenses, you actually have to stop your recording so but there's just some quick 4k footage here from both of these phones. Here's some more 4k footage this time from the ultra-wide angle, cameras on both phones, so I figured I'm up here in the hills. We have a great view may as well test out the ultrawide and see the full view here in 4k.

So again just want to give you a quick clip, so you can kind of see what the ultra-wide angle camera looks like here on both these phones at 4k, hey everyone, we're back at 1080p, 30 frames per second. I just want to do a quick stabilization test here on both of these phones, so this bridge seemed like a good test. It has a clean horizon line, so take a look at the middle of the photo or the picture, and you should be able to see if it's shaking around too much, but these both should be doing pretty well here at 1080p. I just got both of these phones in front of me, and I'm walking normally I'm not trying to be extra, steady or anything. Just you can see how the stabilization works all right, and we're back here.

I want to test out the note 10 plus it's super steady mode here so, as you can see it crops in pretty heavily, but you can actually adjust that by just going into the wide angle camera just like that, and so Sony has its steady shot technology for stabilization, and I want to kind of just compare that to how the note 10 plus handles its super steady mode here. So just a quick stabilization test, super steady mode on the note, 10 plus against Sony's study, shot stabilization. Okay, one last stabilization test this time in 4k 30 frames per second. So this should be a good comparison. They both should be stabilized in the 4k 30.

So again, let me know what you think on how each of these phones are doing as far as stabilization here at 4k. Again, I'm just holding them out in front of me, and I'm walking fairly normally, but just want to do a quick stabilization test here in 4k. You're welcome, hey everyone, so here we go with the front facing cameras. The Xperia one mark ii tops out at 1080p and the note 10 plus tops out at 4k. So that's what you're seeing right now, and I can pan around to kind of see how it adjusts to the light, and I don't really think the Xperia Walmart ii front cameras are all that great, honestly.

I think Sony really needs to kind of improve that a little here. The note 10 plus I swear Samsung, has made some improvements to its front-facing camera. I took a look at some of the photos they took, and it definitely looks better than I remember, and so I'm interested to see how this video turns out once I get it on the computer, but now that you're watching it here in this video, let me know what you think about each of the front-facing videos on each of these phones how's. It looks stabilization, look, okay, but again just a quick sample for you for from the front facing cameras here from both of these phones, everyone. So here we are again with the front facing cameras.

I just want to do an another, take in a different kind of environment. You can see one more of a shade outside, so just to give you another viewpoint of how these cameras perform in a different scenario, different setting here outdoors much more shaded instead of into a lot of direct sunlight. So let's go ahead and walk for stabilization test, real quick, but I just want to give you another sample of what these front-facing cameras look like in a little of a different environment. Here, hey everyone! So now that you've seen all the photos and videos for yourself. How do you think each of these phones performed? Did you like one for photos and another for video, or maybe just one better overall, leave a comment, and let me know, and we'll continue a discussion down there, but for now I want to wrap up this video and let you know how I thought each of these phones performed if we start off with still photos? I still think that the Xperia one mark ii probably produces the best both out of any main sensor that I've tested this year, and I've compared this to the Pixel 4 XL and the iPhone 11 Pro max two of the arguably the best camera phones on the market today, and I still think the Sony main sensor still produces a shallower depth of field or a more blurry background, naturally, without any kind of computational photography or any kind of dedicated portrait mode.

I think the Sony main sensor still is best there. So if you're going to like a lot of both, then you're, probably going to like the Sony Xperia one mark ii now as far as colors are concerned for still photos. The Xperia one mark ii has the more natural colors. So, if you're wondering which look closer to what I was seeing with my own eye, that's going to be the Xperia one mark ii and if you like those boosted colors, then you're definitely gonna, like the note, 10 plus so again still photo photography. I thought was very good on both, and it's just going to come down to your own personal preference and what you'd like to see now one thing to note about the ultrawide photos.

I always thought that the Samsung phones produce perfect ultrawide camera performance and sometimes better than their own main sensors, and that's no exception here on the note.10 plus photos look very punchy, very dynamic and perfect. Looking wide angle photos now. The Sony also produced some perfect photos which caught me by surprise, because they're also pretty dynamic, and you don't really think Sony and really boosted HDR, and I don't think the HDR was really boosted on the Sony. But it did stand out. So if you can get the auto HDR to kick in on the Exxon opera, then you're going to get some pretty dynamic photos with some still fairly natural colors.

So ultra white counter performance on both were pretty good to me and again, it'll just come down to your own personal preference and what you like to see, especially in the colors, then looking at the rear camera video, the Samsung phones, always produce some pretty good video and the note 10 plus still produces great video here. The Sony Xperia one mark ii and Sony in general hasn't been known for great video performance, but in comparing these two phones and the footage that I shot at least with these two phones in that instance, I thought the Sony did actually pretty good here. So let me know in the comments what you thought about: the Xperia 1 mark ii, video performance and these camera samples, because you may have a bias. A lot of people say Sony. Video is not very good, but it's comparing these two.

I thought it was actually fairly close. So that's just what I saw with my own eyes, but let me know what you think about video performance here on both of these phones and moving on to the front cameras on both of these phones. It's a pretty clear win for the note 10 plus they both have gone in different directions here, where Sony has really not improved their front-facing cameras at all uh, they have a long way to go. I think the colors get really washed out and both photos and videos don't come out. Looking too good to me, whereas the note 10, plus Samsung front-facing cameras haven't been too good uh in my experience anyway, but in these photo and video samples, it's very clear that Samsung has made improvements to the note 10 plus front-facing camera.

So that's also very good to see a lot of photos and videos from the front-facing camera came out looking a lot better than I remember, especially from an exposure standpoint. So if you're looking at the background sky and there's a lot of sunny conditions, most phones, including the Samsung cameras and the note camera front-facing camera would blow that sky out. But if you look a lot of it's pretty much in focus, you'll see some blue skies in the background and the photos and pictures videos came out looking a lot better than remember on the note 10 plus. So clear one there on the front facing camera for the note 10 plus, but that's just what I think about how each of these phones performed, and I'm always interested in what you have to think so, leave a comment down below with your thoughts and opinions, and we'll continue our discussion on there and as always, thanks for watching you.
